Extremely well located with next only to Cracker Walk. Close to town centre and busstand made shoping and eating out very comfortable and easy. Brekfast with different daily menu was excellent with very hospitable and friendly staff attending to the guests.

View from our room (202) was ugly looking over green plastic fence sheet and mangled electric wires and poles. Menu for room service wasn't interesting.

Perfect location! Situated in a quiet area with a beautiful view right on the cliff. Lovely garden where you also can have your meals. Nice restaurant where it was an open fire at dinner every night. Rooms where spacious, clean and some with a nice mountain view. The restaurant served excellent meals. Breakfast was delicious and really was something extraordinary. The service in the restaurant was excellent and I especially like to mention the waiter “Chaco” who really cared for the guests and made every visit to the restaurant memorable. The staff in the reception was very helpful and kind.

The location (center of the town and easy access to any requirements we had), the property though small was well kept and tidy with a small group of staff who were willing to help you at the drop of a hat. Prompt service from the word go - is something that really impressed me. The restaurant was a pleasant experience facing the valley - the lawn in front was a resting place for most guests who appeared to spend a few moments there (place for meditation and to imbibe the beauty of the nature and the clean air)

Best of all the worlds when it comes to location, convenience, food and excellent service! You can experience the beauty of kodai without having to leave the property. Coakers walk and bryant park are literally steps away. Last but not the least is delicious food and service at the dining room. Its my best experience of dining in India. Loved it

The beds could have been better. Sleeping on them could be painful especially for people with neck and back issues. Some ventilation and fans might also make the experience better

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for one night, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The hotel's views are breathtaking, and the security personnel, particularly Mr. Raja, were extremely kind and very helpful.The Operations Manager, Prateep, extended a warm welcome with a smile, setting the tone for a wonderful stay. Although I had booked a standard room, Mr. Raja, the security personnel, approached me and recommended upgrading to room 101/102/103, highlighting its exceptional view. I was then shown the room by Prateep, the Operations Manager, and was impressed by its stunning vista. Consequently, I decided to upgrade and shift to room 102. It was a wonderful surprise and a great start to my stay!" Another highlight of my stay was when Mr. Raja, the security personnel, lit a bonfire around 7:30 pm to create a cozy ambiance. It was an amazing experience, and I thoroughly enjoyed the warmth and tranquility of the moment. The bonfire added a magical touch to the already picturesque surroundings, making it a truly unforgettable evening Then at 8pm the dining experience was exceptional, with the fish curry being a highlight of our dinner. Overall, I would rate this hotel as one of the best in Kodaikanal. The combination of stunning views, excellent service, and delicious food makes it a must-visit destination. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable stay in Kodaikanal.

It was a wonderful experience in Villa Retreat. We were 2 families with young kids and stayed for 2 nights . The location is close and walkable distance  to the town center and just beside the Croakers walk .  Everything from the room amenities, the food , the staff and the chef was an experience that we would cherish for a long time .  The room we choose , Signature suite with Fireplace gave a wonderful view of the sunrise . I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family

Beautiful place! We used to stay in 4 star resorts, but this place is the best. Nice chief with a great experience. It was very very tasty. The room is good, but restaurant was amazing. Everything is clean, cozy and comfortable! Separate pleasure was the absence of Russian tourists.

Our room was great and comfortable, with a nice balcony. The view from our room was really relaxing. The location was good– just a 7–8-minute walking distance from many restaurants and shops. The staff was lovely and helpful, and gave us some good tips.

Noise isolation could be better – we heard loud music and also a chainsaw working early in the morning. Also, no Wi-fi in rooms, just in the reception.

Property location is great - right next to Coaker's Walk and close to the main town area. The view is amazing - they have a nice lawn overlooking the mountains, which is where we spent most of our time. Really friendly staff and they even have a nice area to relax in, in case you've reached much before your check-in time. The gardening and flowers in and around the property is exquisite - special kudos to that. Wyckoff restaurant inside the property serves good food too. Overall, everything was great. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

The only thing we were not too happy about is the room we stayed in - Traveller's Room. It is quite small with barely any ventilation in the room - should really consider fitting a window (which can be opened) there. Do not take this room if you are claustrophobic. All the other rooms looked better than this one.
