The staff were very kind and welcoming. I easily got food to the room and liked that it was close to the airport for my flight the next day. It was clean and tidy everywhere.

The chocolate brownie was not tasty at all, it was a bit too noisy, though I expected that as the hotel is right next to the road near the airport so haven't really taken off a point for that. It says there is an ATM in the hotel online but there isn't, it's down the road and I couldn't find it. The light switches in the room are also really confusing. They need labels really.

Check-in was easy. Staff were very welcoming and polite. I requested a room away from the front so that it was a bit quiet. They also arranged a ride back to the airport at a reasonable cost. I recommend this hotel if you need to stay close to the airport.

As it is located near the airport, there isn't much places to shop or go out for a meal. But this didn't bother me as the hotel has a restaurant with a wide variety of meal options.

It was family friendly and staff were supoer friendly and courteous. I really enjoyed dinning there and having a couple beers in the bar by the second floor. Super close to the airport which was what I needed. Standards were high enough, I refused going to cheaper places because I needed somewhere safe and clean for my family, and they met my expectations for having spent that extra buck.

Not much to do around, it didnt bother me because all I wanted was a clean and comfortable bed to change flights between days. I had a stroll around, I was back in reception in less than 10 minutes. No biggie.

The hotel is very well situated, only 20min walk to the airport/5min by taxi. Its likely the best hotel close to the airport, good price for value for foreigners especially. The room/bathroom were very clean. Not much to do around but its perfect for overnight stay between flights. The restaurant had also a large menu and we could find vegan options (in menu and on request) for dinner and breakfast. We also had a special menu and a beautiful free cake for Valentine's Day. I liked that it was near the airport and the staff were really friendly.

Some of the plug sockets seemed quite loose, they still worked though. The light switches were confusing so I think they just need labels as I spent a fair while trying to figure out which of the 10 switches around the room turned off the table light.

Comfy beds, ample pillows of the right firmness. The front office manager & reception were excellent - attentive, helpful and quick. Well done! Breakfast was tasty and the restaurant/floor manager was efficient too. Newspapers provided at the door in the morning.

There were not many people (7 including us) yet the restaurant staff were not attentive. We had to ask for coffee thrice. Food was not replenished. It took the poor floor manager to nudge them repeatedly.

The staff were unbelieveably friendly. My luggage was carried in from the taxi, I was given a glass of lemonade whilst checking in and everyone was so friendly. It's a couple of minutes taxi drive to the airport terminal and the hotel arranges the taxi.

I can't fault this hotel. Hotels in India are different from european hotels and whilst they may not have as many facilities, the welcome and friendliness is amongst the best I have ever experienced

I stayed at the Ethnotel four different times during my most recent trip to this area of Asia. Because its location is so convenient to the Kolkata Airport, it worked brilliantly as a hub to come back and forth to. The great hotel staff were easy to communicate with, always helpful, and exceptionally kind. A special shoutout to Mr Joy, the hotel driver, who was always able to spot me at the curb for the airport to hotel transfers. Although technically across the street from airport, this isn't anything you'd want to walk since the road is pretty circuitous. You need to arrange a transfer. My rooms were always immaculately clean with strong a/c and good plumbing. Decor wise, yes, the rooms perhaps need to be updated, but the price is right and everything worked. No complaints whatsoever. Room service was good as well as the buffet breakfast in the dining room. I was pleased with everything and everyone here!

The room was cosy and the bathroom was good. The behaviour of the staff was excellent. The best part was the food. Every item was awesome. I do not know why the so-called food vloggers do not cover this diner, they are so delicious and all were in reasonable price.

The lift is a little too small, but that is okay I think considering the space constraints.

Great location if you are transiting through the airport. Efficient, courteous staff. Comfy rooms. Clean linen. Good quality 24 hour restaurant within the hotel.

Could be priced a bit less.
