A tropical paradise within Kolkata city. The experience provided is exceptional. Shout out to Priyanshu and team at the front desk, Manobi and Manisha at The Verandah and Rehman in housekeeping for making the stay memorable. Their thoughtful consideration and treatment of a family with a 1.5 year old kid made the experience unforgettable. Will visit again as a resident guest and/or restaurant patron.

The location pin for the property on Google Maps is directing traffic through Eco Park Gate No 6. This creates a bit of confusion as the entryway is through Eco Park Gate No 1. It will be great if this is updated.

The property is well maintained, excelent location.

I had booked through booking.com. The booking said that no prepayment is required. However, the hotel called me a day before and asked me to transfer money using a link to ensure my booking. Now this is rediculous. Firstly, nothing prevents the hotel from asking for prepayment on booking.com itself. Secondly, sending payment links and calling - come on how will a customer lnow whether this is genuine call or fraud phishing link. This can be serious issue. Both Taj and booking.com should immediately address this.

A fantastic Staycation experience particularly for a solo traveler like me. The Staff are very warm and always ready to extend their hospitality and service. Tasty breakfast and meals on set-menu and ala-carte. Excellent maintenance and scrupulously clean each corner is. Beautiful lush green around. Wonderful view all around overlooking the eco-park's vast lake. To wrap up, an awesome Staycation experience.

Well to put in words, daily some variations on the set-menu breakfast would be further appreciated. The hot-chocolate of the Poolside Lounge which they are promoting not worth it. Too less chocolate in it with skimmed milk powder which smells.Should taste much better.

Wonderful spectacular gardens, pool and location by the lake. Could not be better. The staff was beyond nice, as well as the quality of the rooms and art deco design. The breakfast and dinner were really nice.

The Spa is just a massage saloon. We expected a sauna/steam room in a 5-star property, which was only available if you take a treatment. Also, that weekend there were groups with lots of small children and babies, which killed the romance or having a relaxing quiet weekend, but that is our personal experience.

Rooms were good sized with a sit out area, staff and service was good as you always expect with Taj. Food was on point, both during breakfast and dinner (no buffet, only a la carte). Good views of the lake.

There are not too many amenities to keep guests occupied. The grounds are also smallish and there are no play areas for kids. Repair work was going on at some parts of the property, which should be mentioned to guests upfront. Management can consider complimentary high tea for guests.

I liked the way i was welcomed in the hotel. The staff was very friendly, cooperative and very very courteous. One staff i would like to mention here is Khushi. She assisted me everything which i requested. Most of all what i liked about her that she escorted me to my car at departure. One thing i must congratulate the hotel for the bell boy who came to pick up my luggage. He was physically challenged. But very smart. Keep up the good work team.

The price was slightly on the higher side in comparison to other 5 stars which i was checking at that time for stay.

The bhetki with mashed potatoes and butter garlic prawns and fish fingers and hot dog was impeccable. All tasted extremely gooooooood. But the mutton curry was not good it was not Bengali style proper. Mutton pieces were not that great could have been softer and better cooked. Improve the Bengali dishes pls and include more non veg items in the breakfast. The breakfast was very small. But the staff were extremely friendly and helpful

The location is like being out of the city but its not. Its not a huge hotel so the feeling is personal and warm with staff. They provided me with a car when requested and because they had one. They go over and above to keep their customers happy and they have staff from various backgrounds without discrimination and I really liked that. The spa was great!

I think the pool should have signs for no diving and a name of the person who is in charge as life guard. I think that staff should insist confidently on the rules and not make exceptions. This is health and safety that the west is used to so if the locals behave badly and get away with it its not a good show.

1- very beautiful and right beside a lake so great view from the Lakeside lounge of the swimming pool and then, lake. 2- rooms are very aesthetically done up. Lot of greenery around so even if you don’t have a pool view, the other room views are great. 3- you can just get out of the hotel and walk around in Eco Park. 4- food is well made by the chefs. 5- special recommendation of the bartender Udit, who made one great cocktail after another and all the traditional ones were made spot on! 6- Saud was exceptional too in helping us check in and out.

Not much. The staff was well trained to handle a lot of people. The hotel was completely booked that day but none of the common areas seemed too noisy or chaotic.

All Taj properties not only provide excellent ambience, helpful staff, diverse gourmet cuisine ,artistic decor and interiors, but what is special about them is that each property has a story woven around it linking it to the place's, history, people, culture and art forms. We found Taj Tal Kutir to have all these along with an excellent Taj in house magazine.
