Amazing location right next to river. Premium suite positioned at a right height giving you the best view of the rivulet, mini falls and the thick foliage on the other bank. Large and comfortable living quarters and a very big bedroom in this suite, which is more like a villa. Being birders, a very large balcony was the most sought after place in the mornings and evenings. AC in the bedroom was a godsend in the hot afternoons in Munnar April.Easy access to the suite and restaurant from car parking, Luxurious suite with AC, Good food. Yes sir, it was more than expected. However, what really exceptional was the staff. An amazing team well lead by Teji and all others. While you expect to see staff well mannered, courteous, patient etc in a luxury property like this, true character is seen only during a tough situation.Due to an unfortunate incident outside, which had nothing to do with either Munnar as a place or the property, we decided to cut short our stay of 7 nights to 2 nights and return home. Since our contract with booking.com was not allowing a date change or cancellation after we had checked in, we were ready to bear the full expenses and 50% amount was already paid while checking in. When we explained our predicament to the front office, Benin, a thorough gentleman, went out of the way to make us feel comfortable and safe. He understood why we had taken this decision to go back and started working out ways to reconfigure our stay to two nights so that we did not end up loosing a hefty sum. Teji, Assistant General manager and his team must have spent a lot of time that day to finally contact booking.com, getting approvals from the management, to modify the stay to two nights instead of seven nights.Finally next morning, when we started our journey back, i was totally surprised to see that the modified booking was at the discounted price and not the rack rate and they even refunded the difference amount.Amazing truly. I liked the ambience of the property and everything else about the room.

I stayed in the Rivulet Resort for 5 days. Food was tasty, even though it was rather more spicy than expected. However, I found the buffet menu at both breakfast and dinner repeatitive. The a-la-carta options are expensive. I found the staff highly inefficient in arranging cabs for my local sight seeng trips. A senior staff , Mr Shijo even failed to book a cab for airport drop at 6 O'clock in the morning of my departure, even though I had requested him the previous evening itself, and he had "assured" me that he had done so. But the cab didn't turn up and I had a stressful time in arranging it myself with a a lot of trouble due to the language barrier. Mr Shijo diidn't even pick up my calls when I was going through all this trouble due to his own inefficiency and lack of sincerity.

The location is delightful. Just beside the river. Of course one must know that in summer the river may be dry. However most of the year is fine. The food is very good... The place is spread of 50 acres has lot of places to things to explore. Don't expect a lot from horse riding or bamboo raft. They don't expect people to go to the river for a swim. However if you further near a bridge one can get down easily and play in the water.

The road from the main bridge to their main gate is little staggered. There are no shops around and it is not near munnar market. But that's ok for holidays.

Serene, clean & spacious property nestled in the nature with relaxed ambience good to unwind oneself from the hustle & bustle of daily life. Breakfast buffet was excellent, room services were prompt, swimming pool was clean & most importantly the staffs were very accommodating to our requests.

Could add up some more activities (indoor/outdoor) for all age groups. Best to be visited after monsoon ( November/December)to enjoy the flowing river & mountain views from the balcony.

The resort is wonderful, but it is the staff that elevate it to another level, we had such a lovely experience here it is in a beautiful location with sublime views to the hills, so many fun activities to do for free in the hotel which is a bonus. You can also walk to a small village nearby The pool and food is also superb

Everything was great

The service is top notch at Rivulet resort. Staffs are very polite, courteous and takes care of all guests. The food menu is very inclusive with Pan India spread so people from all over India can enjoy it. There are a lot of activities arranged by the resort with no additional cost such as Nature Walk, Cycling, Bamboo Rafting, Towel Painting, Archery to name a few. It has a children’s play area for families with kids. Overall I found it very beautiful and would definitely visit it again

Personally I couldn’t find any areas of improvement as such however the location is 10-15 kms away from Munnar town so it might be a little difficult to commute for people who want to do sightseeing in Munnar town. For us it was more to enjoy amidst nature and it was perfect

Great location by the riverside with a great view of the local scenery & ability to walk the local neighborhood and riverside. Absolute lovely scenery. Food options were good with an available restaurant at the premises. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Good value for the money. There are a lot of available nearby programs to include trekking options, jeep tour options, and sunrise hill station visits. Distance requirements to these programs were very close to not so far away. I had a lovely stay both at the property and in the local and intermediate area. I got such a wonderful photo log from the visit to the Munnar area.

Nothing not to like.

I stayed for 2 nights with family kids play area was good food was good, room was clean, location was nice staff was very helpful n professional n friendly Point to share, I accidentally broken the sofa glass on my leg. I have informed staff that I will pay the money for the loss but on multiple insists they haven’t charged me extra for the broken glass. I don’t know the name of the Manager with whom Reception staff has spoken in mobile but he was kind and informed that it’s ok and not to take charge customers. Thanks for caring the guests and giving them priority.

everything was good.

Room was excellent as was the view from it. All the staff were amazingly helpful and friendly - from the welcome at reception, to the chef that gave us a tour of the buffet, to the activity staff and guides.

Nothing to do with the hotel, but it is very noisy early in the morning with calls to prayers etc.

The location of the property is awesome. The rooms with the balcony is one of the best. Wake up to chirping sounds of the birds and to the beautiful sight of the hilltop with clouds. The sound of the waters in the river is another unforgettable and the best thing in this resort.
