Small boutique heritage hotel. Loved the room. Upgrade to balcony garden view room. Great bathroom with lovely bath and shower tub. Food was excellent for both breakfast and dinner. We love the heritage style and small number of rooms. Pool is pleasant and the courtyard is a nice place to relax.

Location is ok. Easy access but going for walks outside of hotel are limited. Streets of Mysore need to love and care. Took the staff sometime to loosen up but once they did they were excellent. The manager of the restaurant Kumar was brilliant and when he is working the standard of service is excellent.

The hotel is a wonderful heritage building and is kept in great order. The pool and spa are an added bonus. We were very happy with our large room and balcony - room 201.

Staff, particularly F&B are belligerent, arrogant, and at times downright rude. We heard this from other travellers (both European and Indian). I also lost a gold, much loved earring in the restaurant, and Reception could not have cared less! Not a good side to an otherwise great experience of an historic hotel. Breakfast was the most tired and lacklustre we have ever had in many trips to India.

We stayed in the Suite room with Jacuzzi. The check in was delayed by more than an hour as we were informed that the room was not ready. The breakfast was OK. We did not have the chance to have lunch and we skipped dinner. The staff were great and very helpful. The room was great and well maintained, the balcony was wonderful, the bathroom was clean and newly upgraded, the Jacuzzi left us a bit disappointed, took too long to start and the bottom was very slippery. Please take care while getting in and out of this Jacuzzi. Overall a good one night stay.

We love everything about this icon of Mysore, a delightful jewel in a famously lovely state. We loved the high Raj-era ceilings and thick (heat-defying) walls of the ground-floor suite (a special treat), which was spacious, decorated in gorgeous period furniture and lighting fixtures, including a claw-footed bathtub with shower, and had a lovely outdoor patio looking out over their lovely, well-manicured gardens. The food is unbelievably and reliably excellent. (I will love Mysore festival rice the rest of my days.) The service is efficient, warm, and courteous. No surprise, then, that this venerable hotel of traditional South Indian grace is much-beloved by locals, for whom it is a special-occasion breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and special-occasion venue. A must-stay if you can afford it without western-style expectations, and just enjoy what unfolds around you, which is the magic of India.

Great location in walking distance to the Palace and Market. The hotel has a beautiful outdoor, courtyard area to enjoy breakfast/meals. The room was good overall. The bathroom/room decor was a little dated and musty, but offset by the balcony over the courtyard. We were there over New Year and they put on an extensive buffet and entertainment for both east and western tastes.

The room could do with some modernisation, especially the bathroom.

Food, Service, and Location.

There is lady service staff in resturant and she prefers foreigners over Indians and she makes sure that foreigners are sat over her tables. She makes sure that we won't sit there if at all if we sit there she made sure she woke us up in front of the entire crowd and got the confirmation. I have not seen this in star hotels also. Sorry to share this we felt very bad when she make us get up from the table.

Beautiful heritage property. Helpful staff at the reception (accommodated our request to put our device on charge since we forgot our charger). Morning Live Saxophone was the highlight during breakfast. Great location.

The bed wasn't very comfortable, woke up with a slight body ache but it was soon alright after little stretching. Restaurant staff service could be better, may be they were not prepared for a full-house of guests.

Charming old property in the centre of the city with lovely green cover. Spacious balconies overlooking a sparwling tree filled with chirping birds & scattering squirrels. The open seating area with carnatic music playing softly in the background makes for a great place to relax, have a cup of tea and read!

The food in the resturant can be improved vastly along with the ambient music inside that dulled down the atmosphere. Possibly more tree cover around the pool that's closer to the main road.

Great location for city sites - and Mysore Junction railway station. A beautiful heritage hotel with lovely rooms, all immaculate, and a central dining courtyard, which comes into its own at night with illumination and classic Indian dining. A nice pool area for a few lazy lengths. The service is excellent from reception onwards. We had a really memorable stay.

Warm staff, lovely courtyard and nice location in central Mysuru. The courtyard is a busy, delicious restaurant in the evenings, very convenient.

Seems there is a wide variation in the quality of rooms. I would recommend upstairs rooms w nice balcony, lower rooms were quite dark and lacked the same level of updating! #207 is very large, private, and bright.
