When we arrived we were given an upgrade and the room was fantastic, as the balcony overlooked Shimla. My Spouse also requested a special night and the room was decorated with balloons and rose petals. It was a lovely touch carried out by the hotel staff. We were also given extended checkout and they were very efficient with any room service we requested. Location was perfect for walking round Shimla. The Hotel also have a few places to eat and also have a drink. Again the views were amazing as the hotel sits near the top of the hill.

The safe did not seem to work, but we did not have anything for safekeeping—nothing else to complain about.

We had a pleasant stay at Hotel Willow Bank. The room was comfortable. A portable heater was provided and it was much needed during winter time. Although the portable heater could not warm up every corner of the room, we could stay warm in bed. The balcony had a good view to the town. During our stay at Shimla, we experienced both sunny day with clear sky and stormy day with fresh snow. No matter what the weather was, our room was always cosy and comfortable. We enjoyed our dinner time at the adjacent Cafe Simla Times. We were also grateful that the hotel arranged assistance to help with luggages after we checked out.

The hotel and room were clean and cosy. It was an enjoyable stay. The staff were helpful with organising us a taxi to the bus station at the conclusion of our stay as well. The location is central within Shimla and easy access to markets, restaurants and temples nearby.

The hot water could be variable and didn't always work at night. Being on Mall Rd, the hotel is a little difficult to get to. We came to Shimla by bus and had to get a taxi to the tourist lift, then take the tourist lift up and walk. When leaving, the tourist lift was not open early morning but the hotel staff helped arrange us to get to the taxi.

All staff were so helpful in attending to anything we needed. The travel desk organised a car for us all the way to Delhi. The room was very comfortable with a great view of the hillside and town. The hotel has its own lift to the lower town, so there is no queuing for the public lift. The Mall is right at the front door to walk to shops and the historic sites. We used their restaurant next door, which had plenty of options and live musicians each night.

For a cold climate city, it was odd to only have a fan-heater. For early November, this was ok. Later in the year it may not be so good.

Great location, on the Mall road, walking distance from the Ridge, and other hot spots. The staff is very courteous and helpful, the rooms are a really nice size and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was super and the restaurant / brewery has great food and service. The stay was extremely comfortable.

The walk up to the hotel can be challenging for people with mobility issues. Even to get into taxis, you have to walk a bit and take the lift down to the main road. Also important to note, the lift doesn't open till 8 am (probably on weekends), so if you are out early, you need to hike all the way down to the main street.

The property is amazing. The views are breathtaking. We loved spending time in the cafe and restaurant, the cocktails/beverages were excellent. We also loved the location, you can walk straight out onto Mall Road and enjoy all of the shops without having to climb any stairs. It’s also very close to the tourist lift.

The rooms are freezing, they supply a small fan heater but it is not effective in heading the room. Also, the showers were not hot, this made it hard to get comfortable in the room. The pastries were inedible, very stale.

Excellent location with a fabulous view of Shimla. Breakfast is expensive so we had it elsewhere. Room was large and bed was comfortable. Good shower.

Our room was near the bar which has live music at night , but it does stop at a reasonable time.

The location was perfect especially for the Shimla Christmas Carnival. The hotel is in the heart of all the shops, street food, market stalls and restaurants . Rooms were clean , spacious and comfortable. The dining room served excellent food at breakfast and evening meal. Service was exemplary. We thoroughly recommend this hotel.

We liked the location and the view from the room was mesmerizing. The staff were very helpful, food was good and surprisingly the wi-fi network was top notch.

The TV unit was not working properly, but the staff was too cooperative and helped with the issue.
