Nice views. The location to the Mall is excellent if a little steep. The bed was comfy.

We were on the 1st floor. Noise from reception travelled to our room. Especially at night and from the table football in the social area. Most nights, it stopped at a reasonable time. But on our last night it continued until 2.30am when I felt it nessasary to complain. (Not something I like to do) The breakfast was poor, better to go to town. The bed was comfy, but as is normal for India, the sheets & towels were not the best. Booking is a problem with this place. We were bombarded with emails demanding payment and not accepting our card. Saying the card wasn't valid.. No other hotels have had this problem. Basically Hosteller want payment to be made not through Booking.com?!

The best thing about this hotel is its location. You can reach the town in just 2-3 minutes on foot. The staff are also very kind and provided lots of information about Shimla. Personally, I was pleased that there is a water dispenser on each floor.

This isn’t necessarily a downside of the hotel, but I have some valuable information to share with anyone planning to visit Shimla. In Shimla, you need a permit to drive into the town. If you take a taxi from outside the town to the hotel, you’ll end up taking a very long detour and be charged an exorbitant fee. So, if you plan to take a taxi, contact the hotel in advance to arrange for a taxi that has the necessary permit to enter the town. That’s the best approach.

Best dorms, good & helpful staff., me being a solo traveler from USA..it was worth staying in Hosteller. AasHisH at the front desk was too helpful., he guided me all over the places around Shimla.. he is just so professional with his works.. he vibes different Umm just amazing.. thanks a lot to him , the Best host ever. they have a cafe serving very delicious food.. highly recommend this place & their food . THATs Itt.. Gonna miss this place & especially AASHISHH..................

THE BEST STAY EVER , HOSTELLERS DOING THEIR GREAT JOB, AASHISH AT FRONT DESK IS JUST SO PROFESSIONAL WITH ALL HIS WORKS HE GOT TO DO.,HE MANAGES THE PROPERTY SO WELL. THERS NOTHING THAT I DIDINT LIKE.. IT EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS.

Being myself an avid traveller and as distinctly silent that I try to remain with my travels, this place is definitely one of the shout outs to everybody. This memo may be a little more than just brief so read it at your time constraint risk. Begining with how to reach at this property is definitely a task and the whole mechanism that hosteller follows to escort its guests to the premises is definitely a pain for the guests, nevertheless, so the episode began when satyam (excuse for the names) called and with his gesture, i honestly wanted to burst out all my lungs on him, having ofcourse travelled almost 500kms to reach nowhere close to the property. Episode 2, we climb up the everest given our metropolitan lives and saw a yellow colored glowsign spreading the relief of having reached close to your evening bed, drenched in sweat irrespective of the weather, you'd realise, for some odd reason the staff takes the hostel feeling quite judiciously, so you'd have to engage yourself to get water and reach the room after the tedious process of just submitting your id's. However, except for the ones said above and a few coming later, there comes the perks of the property which is its evenings. A special mention again to satyam who's ofcourse a gem came up with his aura on the terrace where the hostel magic happens. I'd keep mentioning random names I got acquainted with and you can keep following up for your stay. Rituraj, the man, you may not be able to cope with his vibe and will struggle initially to step up his length but once you do, he'd make sure that whatever is wrong in the property is compensated by him alone, absolutely not out of place to mention that he's the big bro you always want around in the hostel to get things fixed, sweetest of gesture he did supplement though was that he along with Bodhraj ji and the chef sab, made sure we had a take away food parcel for the roads (ofcourse complementary).

Amenities, too little variety for food, accessibility, location, prices, warden, cramped rooms, view from the room, running water to no water, no toiletries, horrendous mechanism to approach the hotel and booking system

This was an extremely charming , elegant hostel with beautiful rooms & specially the view from my room was amazing. The receptionist AashishH was extremely helpful and welcoming. he went out of his way to be extremely kind to a very weary traveller. Would highly recommend a stay. On top of all first class hotel receptionist, Aashish he made me feel that my experience at the very first hostel was personally important to him. I think he deserves most of the credit over all the other staff , and his team Ankush , Adhiraj & the property manager Mr . Shubhojit was really too helpful & were too good as well The breakfast provided by Mr . Rana & the chef Ajay was good as well and the common areas are relaxing and serviced by an attentive team of staff.

The manager and staff are very helpful and friendly. They will help with any problem you would have. Games and cards are available for the guests to use. Breakfast and food in general is good, albeit a little pricey. Better to explore nearby cafes and restaurants. Mall Road has some good places for food. I think the distance from Mall Road to the hostel was just good enough, apt for a morning walk. Most places are easily accessible.

There are too many stairs leading up to the property. I visited in February, so the cold was such that heaters would have really helped. The food prepared is of large portions, the menu could be changed accordingly.

I am writing to let you know how much I appreciate the outstanding customer service that your staff Naresh , Abhishek , Vikesh , Sunny & Rahul and their manager Aashish has provided. They have always been very attentive and helpful. Their kind gesture and hospitality has always been beyond satisfaction. I truly feel like a guest and not just a regular customer so hats of to your team Aashish. Please let them as well as the other employees know that their efforts do not go unnoticed. Thank you once again for hiring such excellent staff and hope to see them and interact with them at my every visit/stay.
