I recently stayed at the Further Hotel Cangu in Bali with my mother for 6 nights. The rooms were absolutely stunning and the architecture was breathtaking, just as all the reviews had mentioned. The experience felt like staying in a luxurious pyramid in Egypt, making us feel truly out of this world. The front desk service was exceptional, adding to the overall positive experience. However, it's important to note that the hotel's location might not be ideal if you're looking for a place to swim, eat, and relax repeatedly. Unfortunately, there is no pool or outdoor area to lounge around, and finding authentic Indonesian food nearby can be a bit challenging. On the bright side, there are a few Western coffee shops and bakery places within reach. A standout moment during our stay was when we stumbled upon a gelato shop right across the road, offering some of the most exquisite gelato I've ever tasted. Additionally, the hotel features a restaurant named Vera, which I highly recommend making a reservation for. It's important to note that while the cuisine is Western, the prices reflect that as well. While the hotel itself doesn't have a pool, they have an affiliation with a pool club named Le-Bajo, which I strongly recommend visiting. Located in the middle of picturesque rice fields, the pool club offers a serene atmosphere, two fantastic restaurants, a beautiful pool, comfortable day beds, and even a boutique shop that might tempt you to splurge. Oh and they do breakfast, lunch and dinner and you get a welcome drink, which is delicious! Overall, our stay at the Further Hotel Cangu was a remarkable experience with stunning rooms, exceptional service, and access to delightful dining options and a fantastic pool club. Just be aware of the limited nearby amenities for swimming and traditional Indonesian cuisine.

This is our second time staying at Further and I found the service was even better than when the hotel first opened in 2023. We also loved the addition of the rooftop pool bar this time. The design of having the daybeds in the shade is perfection. The food available at the pool was delicious! All the staff were exceptionally helpful, kind and attentive. The room service was super prompt and concierge was always very responsive. I would definitely return again in the future!

1. We paid half day rate for a room to shower before our flight. We were charged half the nightly rate but the room was only available from 3-5pm. Our check in was then delayed until 3.20pm so I wasn’t particularly impressed that we paid a half day rate to use the room for 1.5 hours. 2. The bathroom sometimes permeated sewage smell. It came and went and wasn’t a huge problem but was noticeable. 3. The aircon was extremely loud at times so perhaps need to be serviced as it wasn’t the case in other rooms.

Very design forward rooms, the beds are super comfortable and everything was superb especially the integrated speaker system in the rooms. It was a vibe! The roof top was gorgeous although small and can get very hot but the misting system seems to work a treat.

Felt a bit impersonal with staff from start to end, no one really greets you and it’s a bit of a “in and out” feel. The towels could be more luxurious; surprisingly low quality. Should have some in guest perks like welcome drink on rooftop, or afternoon happy hour to make it feel more of an experience. The rooms can get very noisy with the traffic at night, almost unavoidable given its central location on a main busy street. Not a deal breaker but be aware - we slept with our own earplugs. If you want a relaxing spot this isn’t the place for you but a great little bolt hole for a few nights in the middle of all the action in pererenan.

The staffs were very kind and friendly. One of them - a guy who works night shift at the reception was incredibly helpful to help when we ran out of cash for a gojek rider. He later also shared where to get some good local food. A pleasant memorable stay!

Overall clean and comfortable . However the building needs a little maintenance and upkeep. Some walls need paint job, carpet needs to wash, cabinet door a little jammed. With the pricing, it should come with breakfast. It’s a shame that the gym and pool (collaboration) is slightly away from the property, but they have buggy service that can bring you there.

Breakfast quality is excellent although restricted to 3 choices, which share some major elements so it could be repetitious for a long stay. There's plenty of storage spaces inside the room including nooks and large drawers. The hotel provides buggy rides along the street to points of interests including pickups.

Everything about the room is magnificent although room 8 has a design flaw, which is there's a gap around one of the sliding window frame that lets in outside noises and wind that blows against the blind when it's down. It's a pity since it's already a double-pane glass, which purpose is to restrict those kind of noises. A quick application of duct tape does reduce significantly the noises and wind so don't forget to ask beforehand.

Staff were very friendly, helpful, professional, and assisted us with special requests/queries very promptly. Room was amazing both in terms of aesthetics and how it was maintained. Bar Vera had great drinks as well. I can't recommend this place enough.

Sometimes there were millipedes and flying ants that made their way into the room.

Very pretty hotel where all the details are just perfect! Very well located with plenty of restaurants bear you. And only 15 minutes walk to the Beach They are adding a rooftop to the hotel. So perfect as it is missing an outdoor area The staff is just amazing! They reply very fast to all the questions and are so helpfull Further works together with a local gym as well as a Swimming pool. Both amazing Spaces as well

The hotel is super cool, the interior design and products they provided are amazingly harmony with the room. I love the photography art pieces they displayed, and the concept of whole hotel is artistically unique! Moreover, the service is super welcoming, Ingrid and Michelle is so kind and generous, especially offering me a lovely birthday cake while knowing the trip is during my birthday, so sweet!!!

Further Hotel blew me away in every aspect, the property is beautifully designed and in a great location! The team are so warm and welcoming - I felt especially looked after by Cara at Portion. Thank you for a wonderful stay, I can't wait to come back!

The room was exceptionally stylish, and my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Overall, we left feeling highly satisfied, particularly appreciating the access to the "Wrong Gym" in the morning and the lovely café conveniently located just downstairs from our hotel.
