Do yourself a favour and turn into a rabbit for some days 😄After travelling 3 months in Sri Lanka, Thailand and Bali/Java, I have never been at a hostel as great as this. The warm welcome from staff and fellow rabbits makes you feel at home very quickly. The getting together at the long table in the centre of this amazing building, talking, laughing, even singing, is simply unique. Joining together for the sunset 🌅, having The Family Dinner, going on sunset boat trips snorkelling, or maybe going together to a concert with the local band, Brotherhood. The Rabbit Tree is the hostel, you are dreaming of ❤️🐰

My problem now is, that I find it hard to stay at ordinary hostels. I cannot help comparing them with the rabbit vibe, I left behind. Other hostels typically have no sense of community, nothing happening to bring people together. As I write this, I just want to get back to Gili Meno and my fellow rabbits! 🙏❤️🐰🐰

It is a very fun alice in wonderland style hostel with a lot of themed rooms, crawl spaces, hiding places and cute corners to chill. We met a lot of cool people, it is a great place to socialize and there are always organized activities especially in the evening you can join. The wifi was good. The staff was really nice and helpful and helpes us organize an affordable shuttle back on lombok.

You have to pay in cash also for the room. There are some ATMs at the island, but you should make sure to bring enough cash because they might run out of money. The hygiene was not great, especially the bathrooms were not very clean and they did not change the towles where everyone dried their dirty feet in the 5 days we stayed there. We were not able to stay in the room we booked, because the people there extended their stay. However we did not have to pay more for the room we ended up staying in and were also okey with that :)

The flexibility. It’s good to have a single room for yourself where you can get some privacy, but still be able to utilise the communal spaces if you want to socialise. Located in the middle of the island so its close everywhere. Great volunteers!

The shower had quite weak water and also contained salt water which meant you had to shower in it, this is not the hotel’s fault but unfortunately how things are on the island. Lots of noise due to its proximity to the mosque, as others have mentioned.

Very nice staff, they always helped you if there was anything. I really loved the volunteer aswel, she was super nice. The hostel is very cool made. I met some very nice people there. The food is also delicious, especially the smoothiebowl & yoghurt/granola.

This is not the hostels fault, but there weren’t really many people there when i stayed. They really tried to make people join «family dinner», i really wanted to join, but we never could since we were never enough people. I also wanted to do the boat trip the hostel arranged, but the captain was not available aswel. Again, this wasn’t the hostels fault, but i was still sad. Besides that the volunteers are super good at finding other options to do, like movie nights, volleyball, snorkling, card games etc!

Everything here is amazing, room so clean toilet and shower is perfect Staf amazing, friendly, respectful, and so helpful to make your vacation nice Location is the best in gili Meno for the people who's interested for snorkeling, it's so close to Turtles 🐢 spot And the hotel is heart of the island so it's 10 min walking to anyplace reastrant everywhere The room is nice , comfortable and the bed and below to comfortable, you have different choices for the room Really I enjoyed my staying here so much and I recommend for everyone

The only thing I didn't like it, it's I can't stay here forever, because I need to comeback for work in my country

A Magical Stay in Paradise I had the most incredible time at Rabbit Tree Hostel! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed like family. The atmosphere is electric – a perfect mix of relaxation and fun. The sunset boat trip was hands down one of the best experiences of my life! Swimming with bioluminescent plankton felt like being in a dream. The island itself is breathtaking, with crystal-clear waters and pristine beaches. The hostel is super clean, the food is delicious, and the volunteers are amazing, always making sure everyone is having a great time. The architecture is one of a kind, giving the place a whimsical, almost fairytale-like vibe. A must-stay if you’re in Gili Meno!

Absolutely fantastic. In 35 years of backpacking, by far the most unique and interesting hostel I've ever stayed at. Check out the photographs and you'll see why. The communal area makes it so easy to meet so many different people from around the world. The staff, Seb, Eko and Innes put so much effort in to making this place friendly, welcoming.... and special. For example, a different event is offered each evening, such as a movie, sunset & snorkeling trip, lighthearted sports, games night, etc. As a solo traveller, you soon feel part of a family, and you'll not want to leave. Food is excellent, the Granola Bowl for breakfast is an absolute must (warning, it's addictive 😂). Perfect central location on Gili Meno, close to everything and especially the Brotherhood bar, only 5 minutes away, were the local covers band play twice a week, great for a sing and dance to golden oldies. I booked for two nights, fell in love with both the hostel and Gili Meno, ended up staying for nine nights, I could have happily stayed nine months. Well done Sebastian, your perseverance through challenging times has created a very special place for travelers. I'm missing it already.

This is a must stay in Gili Meno for the adventure of a lifetime! The staff and other visitors make you feel welcome as soon as you arrive. After checking in you are taken on a tour of the property and shown the quirky rooms and secret passages and chill out areas around the property. The food was lush, the vibe was amazing! Be extra careful on the stairs and book a room downstairs if you have any mobility issues. Amazing stay, I'll be sure to recommend you guys ❤️

Very cool place! Loved this hostel so much. Felt like a big tree house. Also have family dinners etc, which is nice to meet new people.

Unfortunately we weren’t In the room we expected and was just down the road in a outhouse separate. It was completely different from the main hostel and did have bad bugs and cockroaches.
