My stay at Gili Beach Bum was amazing! The room and the facilities were clean, the bed was comfortable and it is convenient that you don’t need to share the room with many people (I shared with two people and the size of the room and the bathroom was more than enough). Also the staff welcomes you and makes you feel at home and comfortable from day 1, they are always there to help you if you need to! The location is also great since it’s close to basically everything! Overall it’s a great place to stay and to meet people if you’re travelling solo (or not) also because they organize many activities. I’d highly recommend!!

There is quite some noise, specially at night time because of the bar, the music and activities like karaoke, but this was expected and I had no issues sleeping just putting my ear plugs.

We had an amazing stay at Gili Beach Bum Hostel! The best thing about this accommodation is by far the staff. Every single staff member we came in contact with was so welcoming, kind, friendly and constantly going above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. If you have any problems or issues at all, the staff will truly help you as much as they possibly can. The hostel reps are also such great fun, B and Ice in particular!!! Thank you for everything❤️

The way how strangers come to meet and become friends quickly ! Culture sharing, joy, the bar activities and events... Also the Mosq is like 200m from hostel, for Muslims to pray...

A few suggestions to enhance the experience: Toilets: Since they are shared, they could use more regular maintenance (some doors don’t close properly) and more frequent cleaning — maybe every hour. Spacious room, great breakfast, you can book snorkeling at the front desk for a good price, laundry service: 2kg for 66k, very nicely folded and cleaned well. Very friendly staff. If you get lucky enough to get the balcony bed in each room it’s like your own private room. Ac works well.

If you get a room close to the bar it’s very hard to fall asleep until midnight, music is super loud. hot water shower only worked occasionally, ceiling started leaking half way through my stay then they painted over it but it dripped and there were black specks of paint all over the bathroom. wifi was horrible, cut out frequently. Not social in the slightest. Blanket was just a thin sheet.

The staff was so nice and the location right next to the beach is very convenient. It's also close to the main pier and to the main street. The bicycle rental and the water refill is a nice plus. The breakfast that's included is basic but nice. Overall the hostel is quite clean, I just think they might make it more clear in the bathrooms (especially in the dorms) that toilet paper never goes into the toilet bowl in Asia, for all the tourists who aren't aware. It happened to me every day to discover toilet paper that didn't get flushed properly because it's not meant to go down there. There is a bin and a sign, but I think it's not clear enough unfortunately :/ But that's more the responsibility of the clients obviously!

The dorm set up is very unique, I was unfortunate to have the bed on the opening side of the shared bathrooms of the dorms, but no big deal as I was sharing with quite respectful people during my stay! The dorm could use a few hooks near the beds, I think.

Your experience is more personal than in other hostels, especially the "party" ones. The staff is exceptionally friendly, knows your name and treats you like a friend. The complete opposite to "my mates place" where the staff was very jaded and didn't give a f*** about you..The atmosphere of the space is great and it's location is just perfect in the CBD. You cross the street and are right at the beach. Has a pool table, ping pong and an amazing comon area to chill / drink / work which I use as my home office :) Beds are comfy, aircon has perfect temp and there is absolutely no mold (my mates place had a lot of mold and the rooms stink). You get your breakfast very late even after 10 :) Have been extending for over a week here going for two :) and will come back when back in Gili T. Thank you!

the only negative was that the sound carries quite a bit in the rooms so bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper

Clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Free breakfast is a nice touch! Offer a hot shower, which is rare for hostels in Indonesia. Lots of social events available and perfect location. AC is very good.

Very loud at night, don't expect to get much sleep. This isn't exactly the hostel's fault and it just depends on the guests at the time of stay. It is a party hostel as well, so this is to be expected. Staff could clean the showers a bit more frequently. I stayed for 3 nights and the shower I used wasn't cleaned during my stay. I've had worse showers though :)

Everything here is amazing, room so clean toilet and shower is perfect Staf amazing, friendly, respectful, and so helpful to make your vacation nice Location is the best in gili trawangan for the people who's interested for snorkeling, it's so close to Turtles 🐢 spot And the hotel is first line from the sea, reastrant everywhere The room is big,comfortable and the bed and below to comfortable, it's just 3 beds in each room Really I enjoyed my staying here so much and I recommend for everyone

The only thing I didn't like it, it's I can't stay here forever, because I need to comeback for work in my country

Cool atmosphere, in front of the beach, very kind staff, possibility to rent bicycle, big offer of activities. Clean room and clean bathroom.

For the staff: please remember to put some lockers in all the rooms, so tourists can lock their valuable items. For travellers: my room was in front of the Lava Bar, which was pretty nice because of the cool music, except when I wanted to sleep... but with some earplugs, everything is fine.

I had a great stay at this hostel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Eco, Eri and bee, they are always ready to answer questions and give recommendations about the area. The atmosphere was great and positive, which I truly appreciated.

The only downside for me was the absence of curtains on the beds, which made it difficult to have privacy in the dorm. Adding curtains would definitely improve the comfort and overall experience.
