I spent a very pleasant week there. The facilities and staff are great, they also have a good buffet breakfast.

The only downside is the street. I like to explore where I stay by foot, and that particular stretch of street is quite grubby. If you intend to take grabs everywhere you'll be fine there!

The hotel is exceptionally clean, the breakfast was fulfilling it starts at 6am and after you have fuel up with heavy breakfast, you could literally walk to Tanah Abang Market Blok A and Blok B - the market opens at 8.30am but many stores are open from as early as 7.30am. Walking back and forth from the hotel to the market is less than 5 minutes. There is a convenient store nearby with ATM facility and local street food stalls to grab simple dinner or lunch. We walked to Thamrin City Mall and it was not as far, approximately 1.8km. The hotel has Bluebird taxi service within the hotel premise. You could also use Grab to deliver local food and Grab for transport. The hotel has free self service laundry facility, gym and swimming pool. The cable TV also has good signal. The room is spacious and the bathroom is also clean. The lift was super quick with security measures - only hotel guests with valid room key have access to use the lifts. In a nutshell, I had an enjoyable leisure trip and I would certainly recommend staying at Ashley Tanah Abang - excellent hospitality.

No prayer mat in the room I have stayed. I would like the Management to consider placing a prayer mat in every room - as a small economical gesture to promote the Islamic nation.

Room was spacious enough and totally worth the money. Parking was a breeze. The location made it easy to get anywhere I needed. Plus, everything was clean and well-kept.

One downside was that the room didn’t have a real window facing outside. In the photos, it looked like there was a window with a view of green plants, but it turned out to be a fake window facing a wall with artificial plants. The biggest issue for me was the room's walls. The partitions between rooms weren’t solid walls — they were more like thin, semi-permanent dividers. I could literally hear the guest next door making a phone call like they were right next to me. It was pretty annoying.

Everything was new, good breakfast, comfortable beds, fantastic personnel. The people who work here do their best to make hotel guests to feel comfortable. We really appreciated the free self service laundry. Great location in the middle of the city centre. Very good restaurant with reasonable prices, all our dinner dishes were delicious.

We booked family room for 4 nights and what I was not really aware of that there were no windows and no day light in the room. It would be acceptable for one or two nights, but not for a longer stay. Very average coffee for the breakfast, while everywhere in Indonesia we got good or excellent coffee, so I am surprised that hotel does not care to serve better coffee for the breakfast.

The twin beds each are big enough for 2. The shower area is huge and clean. Shower has hot water with strong water pressure and good drainage. Each bed has 4 pillows. AC is cold, works well. Toothbrush, tooth paste, showercap, bottled water, slippers are all available in the room. Towels, shampoo, and shower gell are good quality. Also has water kettle & hair dryer. Comes with free simple breakfast. Parking is easy, location is great if using car.

The toilet give off a bit of smell to the room, but not too strong. The toilet has bidet. The shower head cannot be tilted, only can move up and down. Some stains on the bed sheet, but i think its not washable, so its okay.

Hotel was well located in a safe area near two very large shopping malls (including the Grand Indonesia, which is rated as one of, if not, the best in Jakarta). Some good hotels nearby, too, with roof terraces for a drink under the stars (Bart, at the Artotel in our case). The restaurant served great food during the day, and the milkshakes were awesome.

The food offering at breakfast seemed comprehensive enough, but many stations weren't restocked as quickly as they might have been. The menu was probably great for those from the Far East, but we found it a bit limited. There was a good station preparing eggs, though. The room was clean, and the bed was large and very comfortable, but the wardrobe space seemed to be aimed at weekenders and not those staying longer. There were no drawers, so our things were piled high. Overall, the hotel was comfortable, well located, and very good value. Jakarta is often chaotic and full of contrasts, but we loved spending three nights there!

the breakfast spreadssss was A++++++++! i book here last minute as i was so dissapointed with the hotel i actually booked. as i go into the hotel lobby was greeted with a really nice scent. the room size is nice, the bedsheet are clean, the bed are so comfortable!! toilet are nice and clean. got room with no view but honestly tho i directly fall asleep once i lay on the bed no need view also no problem. the staff are nice. got a pretty pool but didn't get any chance to use it too busy shopping. location is very walkable to pasar tanah abang. alfamart, indomaret and atm bank are walking distance. WALKABLE TO BRT ALSO IF YOU WANNA TRY THE BUSES THERE! AND THE BREAKFAST HAIH I WISH I CAN EAT THERE EVERYDAY. Anyway good job ashley would repeat it confirmmm!

Finally, we have found our favorite hotel in Jakarta, we will definitely book in again soon, I hope. Thank you, Hotel Ashley our last two night, in Jakarta become memorable and pleasant. The staff, the room, the hotel ambient was beautiful even my husband was blown away by the hotel interior and exterior, beautiful hotel, wonderful staff!! Hotel location isn't far away from Tanah Abang Market and Sarinah only a short walk away.

Unfortunately, not many choices on room service, luckily Gofood available if you have the app, or short walk to Sarinah to get a decent meal.

During our trip in Indonesia we stayed at Ashley Tanah Abang Hotel twice. Once when we arrived in Jakarta prior to our roundtrip and then at the end prior to leaving Indonesia. Both times we made a great experience with the hotel. The location is prime. It is close to many places tourists would like to see in Jakarta. Also for business people it is a great place since it is close to the center where lots of international companies are located. What my family loved most was the streetfood around the hotel. I liked the proximity to the Grand Indonesia Mall. You can easily pick a taxi in front of the hotel and if you want to experience something special, there are lots of rikshaws right next to the hotel parking entrance. The staff at the reception is very professional and does a great job. At various times during the day and night I passed by at the reception and there was always someone to talk to. The rooms are spacious, at least the ones we have received during this trip. The bathrooms are spacious too and equipped with the most important things. During our first stay we were lucky and had booked a family room. The room was very spacious as you can see on my pictures. The second stay we had two double bed rooms and also this was great. The only negative impression was the noise when the doors close. I guess this could be solved easily. Especially during our first stay there was a party downstairs and some guests on our floor were loud and walked in and out between their rooms and each time their doors slammed, not by purpose but because the slam if you do not close the door slowly. The restaurant was great, we had a couple of times breakfast and I also tried a dinner. The food is good and tasty. The pool in the centre of the hotel is great, no long walking distance, however the water was quite cold. In total everything was great and we had a pleasant time in this hotel.

As soon as you enter the hotel, you see a pool behind the reception, it looks fantastic, unfortunately, the pool is behind the reception with a glass that means every person coming in can see people in the pool, if that wasn’t enough on the opposite site people sit & eat, who can also watch you through a glass, so both areas feel uncomfortable to use the pool, unless you are a kid.
