We had a good time at the hostel, chatting with the very nice host, the also very nice tour guide and another guest. We slept well without any disturbing noise. The hostel is also situated conveniently close to Gambir Station, so if you don't mind the heat, you can walk there.

When we arrived late in the evening, the gate was closed and our telephone didn't allow us to call the Indonesian number that was written on the gate for this case. Fortunately, our taxi driver helped us to call the host. Our twin room was quite small, so you have to be organized with your luggage, but that was ok for us.

Loved the privacy of their capsule style beds which are super comfy. The property is clean and quiet despite the busy road nearby. Friendly staff. Little extra points for the kittens on the balcony :) the location is also pretty good because it is midway between gondangdia which takes you to key points in the city and Gambir which can take you to other cities. There's restaurants right at the bottom of the building so you don't have to go far to eat.

The access can be a little confusing as you have to go through the small cafe at the bottom to access the stairs to the reception. But nit a huge deal, just something to keep in mind.

Property itself is very nice. Clean, bright and calm place to be in.

The location and nearby atmosphere is dangerous and awful. My phone was stolen near to hostel and I was not the only one. I was the 8th of 9th foreigner in a row who got robbed. Please be very very careful about your belongings. Don’t flash and hold your phone in reachable position. You can be easily robbed. I myself was robbed in the evening, when I was walking on the street, showing my family the city around through video call. Robbers came from behind, snatched my phone and went away with a moto bike. I have met some other guys who were also robbed in this way. It’s not a very safe place, please be careful!

My friend and I stayed in a twin room (bunk bed style). The bunk bed is built into the room so it was incredibly sturdy and strong. Each bed has it's own spacious storage area underneath the bed. The beds, pillows, and blankets are comfortable. The bathroom is equipped with hand soap, body wash, shampoo, and a hair dryer. They provide a complimentary toothbrush, q-tips, and a body towel. I liked how each floor had it's own lounge area next to the stairs. I was able to pack my backpack out there without disturbing my friend while she slept. The front desk is 24 hours and the staff is really helpful and kind!

The hostel isn't as clean as I expected. I had to wipe down a lot of surfaces using my own disinfectant wipes because it was a bit grimy, especially my storage area. I found a spider and a couple ants around/in my bed area. It wasn't a huge deal to me but a warning for those who might be uncomfortable with that. Overall, it fulfilled our 3-night stay!

The location，reception service，bath room and employees attitude are all good，friendly and helpful.

The smell is not good in the toilet.

I loved my stay the accommodation and staff were 100% Would like to say special thank you to Shaimal who helped me get my train tickets and helped me research where to go to get my next travel arrangements as well. A truly kind person who your hosel is lucky to have as your other staff.

There is not anything to dislike . Staff, accommodations, location all excellent . I am writing this in this section as did not have room in liked section as got to many good things to say about my stay . Plus food was excellent too.

Even though my bed is not in sideways still the AC was good. Fee tea and coffee. Water refilling available on request. I guess bed sheet is changed but not sure. Bathrooms are clean and available in all floors. Key card is provided to rooms. Good Wi-Fi. Staff are helpful to answer your queries.

Require IDR 200 deposit which I guess is for key card but I did not see this in other hotels. Have to leave shoes in first floor entrance itself. This is fine if you are carrying something to wear indoor because they don't provide any temporary slippers to wear.

I’m very happy with my choice for Konko Hostel in Central Jakarta. Other hostels of similar value appeared much more dated and had worse reviews. I chose Konko for the refill water, social seating area and spaces, and bright cleanliness. Any odour from the bathrooms is from the pipes (common in SEA), not due to cleanliness, only some of the bathrooms have an odour. Beds were very comfortable and had a hotel style duvet. Lockers with your own lock, or rent a locker. Can rent a towel. Central Jakarta will have a lack of tourist activities in walking distance, but is a safe, populated, and clean area where you can easily take public transit or GoJek to other areas of the city. I recommend female dorms in major SEA cities that have heavy transit of non-backpackers. There wasn’t one available but thankfully the kind staff switched the room for my second two nights after some uncomfortable behaviour from a middle-aged man in the mixed form.

I had 24 hours in Seminyak so wanted somewhere comfortable. Instead, I found somewhere incredible. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming - balinese hospitality at its absolute best. I was very lucky and they gave me an upgrade to my room, which made my stay even more special. The breakfast options were great and the food was all really tasty - I had a fish curry for lunch. Everything was perfect. I didn’t want to leave! I’ve stayed in over 100 booking.com hotels, but this is the best and I will come back.

The premium room is really great!! It has a desk, TV, window to the street and a well sized bathroom with a good mirror!! Shower is excellent!! good hot water and running well. The mattress is very good quality as well and give you a good sleep. Good and silent air conditioning. Very clean room and bathroom and with good supply of toiletries. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. They made my stay easier and pleasant. They gave me very good tips for places to see and eat and they booked taxi and transport for me every time I needed (and with the best prices). You get free refill of water. I would definitely stay here again.

There is only a bit of pipe smell in the bathroom or it is probably a bit of humidity smell, which goes away with the air conditioning. The room that faces the street could be a bit noisy at pick times, but that didn't affect me at all, it was not too bad.
