Everything about this hotel is excellent - the central location near the main sights and big malls, the Monuments view, the spotless and modern rooms, the facilities ( the gym and pool are well maintained ) and the exceptional food. What really makes the place stand out is the staff. From security, reception to housekeeping everyone makes sure that you are welcomed and treated well. I stayed in a Club room, with access to the Club lounge and would highly recommend it. The views, the afternoon tea, evening cocktails and food was superb. A special mention to the staff there ( Grace, Salvina, Intan, Jennie, VJ, Callista, Nauli and Karen ) who were so hospitable and warm. I had a few extra requests that they went out of their way to meet and were simply wonderful.

That I didn’t leave it enough to see more of Jakarta, the hotel was that nice.

We had a great stay recently at MO! They did a fantastic surprise for my husband and son by decorating the room and we were also escorted to the room upon arrival. Tami & Sheryl did an awesome job together with Hskp team Reza. The room size was really spacious overlooking the city and very clean. My son enjoys the bathtub the most. It’s near GI and Plaza Indonesia which is walkable and you don’t have to get stuck in traffic to reach there. The hskp team was very detailed during our stay and gave us a surprise daily like bedroom slippers for my son, extra water bottles, cable strap. Kudos to the Danv & Reza!

The only downside was during checkout when they asked me to pay for breakfast which we did not consume and wanted to charge my cc for it. That upset me quite a bit but after much arguing, they apologised and released my preauth.

Pros: + The room is big, and has all the facilities you could ever want. Bed is very comfortable, and massive. The view is also great. + Service is generally excellent. Shout out to Milkha in the French restaurant, she is very charming. + Food, including the breakfast is very good.

Cons: - Slightly faded interiors and the styling etc is a little dated. - The floors in both my room and the corridor were bumpy, felt like there were lumps underneath the carpet, making the floor uneven. - The above are slightly pedantic I know, but you do pay top dollar to stay here - £140 / $190 a night - this is a very expensive hotel by Indonesian standards, so you do expect borderline perfection.

In a word: exceptional. Every little detail made us feel so well looked after: from the in-room check-in on arrival, to the sweet greeting (we were celebrating an occasion), and a call to ask if we needed more water or fresh towels. The hotel itself is the kind of place that made us not want to leave. Huge room, comfy beds, amazing breakfast buffet with great local options, and incredibly hospitable staff. When we eventually did head out, we had fantastic restaurants and bars, and multiple shopping options just a short drive away. All in all, a very memorable stay, and we'd happily choose Mandarin Oriental again.

The moment we arrived at the hotel from the door man up to the Reception counter staff, the attention & services extended to us were excellent. We felt so welcome. And we need to give our special thanks to your wonderful staff Sanjaya from the breakfast area.

On our first day of breakfast, the order of our omelette was overlooked. And second day of having our breakfast, we waited more than half an hour for our coffee. It was totally overlooked. Other guests who came in later, have theirs earlier than us. And on the third day, we had to wait for our table for breakfast as it was crowded.

Everything was EXCEPTIONAL Billy from front desk showed us the property and the views from the room are spectacularly “Monumental”. They have thought of everything and provide exceptional personalised service. Randy at the fitness center is professional and eager to help. Spa and massages are awesome. Concierge Aditya and team are knowledgeable. Breakfast is exceptional ably led by Bayu. Room decorated by Salvina, Tami and Ochi is exceptional. The list goes on and on…

The location was central, next to 3 malls and easy transportation options. Staff were wonderful, very accommodating and helpful. Could not expect anything more from the staff, as they were brilliant. Thank you for making our stay memorable, with your help and flexibility.

Breakfast mainly catered for the Asian guests. There were very little choices for non-Asian options. Only one type of cheese was available on the menu. The egg station was there and they would prepare any type of eggs you wish, but overall, we were not satisfied with the breakfast. Bed was too soft.

breakfast was exceptional. location was also perfect - just cross the road to Grand Indonesia, walking distance to Thamrin City. Being central, we also had the opportunity to join the Sunday's car free day which was just by the roadside. Our turndown service was also excellent. We receive daily notes from housekeeping Ilma, with surprises such as bunny on the bed. Transportation and restaurant reservations was also easy via concierge, especially if you don't speak the local language.. Overall, very satisfied with our stay.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Mandarin Oriental Jakarta with my family and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel like truly valued guests. I want to especially mention Ika at Reception and Oki at Concierge—both of whom went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Ika’s professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made the check-in process seamless and enjoyable. She took the time to personalise our experience, and every request was handled with a genuine smile. Oki at the Concierge desk was also outstanding and he provided impeccable service with a gracious and friendly demeanour. As well as these 2 exceptional individuals, the entire staff at Mandarin Oriental Jakarta epitomised five-star hospitality. All our interactions were filled with warmth and professionalism, and it is totally clear why this hotel has such a stellar reputation. I highly recommend Mandarin Oriental Jakarta and I would certainly return here if I ever had the opportunity to stay in this city again

We were staying at the MO in a City View Tower Suite which meant we were facing the main central monument and roundabout outside the hotel which is the best view to have. The Suite itself was very large and luxuriously furnished as one would expect at the MO. The rooms were spotless, cleaned twice a day including turn down service. Breakfast in the hotel is an occasion with a huge selection of buffet and made to order dishes - I was there for 5 nights and ate different each morning. I highly recommend checking out the restaurants and bar in the hotel. We tried each of them and all deliver wonderful food. The Pool area is very relaxing after a hard day in the city however I would also praise the location of this hotel because you have incredible transport, shopping and food options right outside the hotel in the various Malls and establishments across the roads.
