The hotel was cool, comfortable and nice. It's stylish yet warm. All the staff are kind, helpful, professional and capable. We love the attention to detail and the cleanliness. The location is very good; easily walk to many interesting places. The leafy suburb of Menteng is very central and one of the more pleasant parts of Jakarta. The breakfast is very diverse and nutritious. We stayed for six nights and the food offerings were rotated. The room safe is easy to use. The mattress was good quality and comfortable. Instead of plastic bottles of water, the hotel provides a large glass bottle of drinking water topped up each day. Plenty of charging options (USB, powerpoints suitable for multiple plugs). The gym and sauna were thoughtful inclusions. Jakarta is frenetic at the best of times and can be draining. This hotel provides a place to rest and relax. The cold drink station at reception is also a lovely gesture.

There is only one lift, but it's manageable. There should be more lighting, e.g. a reading light each person or an overhead light option. The room was a little too dark. I dislike the very high bathtub one has to clamber into to have a shower. A non-slip rubber mat should be offered to put at the base of the bathtub for safety reasons. The rooftop cafe deserves more use and promotion.

This is a superb hotel, all told. I’ve heard mixed things about hotels in Jakarta but this one would not be out of place as a 4-star in any major tourist spot. The facilities are really good, the staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious and clean, the breakfast is excellent and the onsite bakery is really great. The rooftop bar is really cute. The location too is really good - it’s a nice bit of Jakarta and (by Jakarta standards!) easy to get to and from other parts of the city. Walking distance to the national museum and monument.

The pool is maybe a little small but it’s really nice, still. The rooftop bar isn’t actually attended by anyone (or at least wasn’t for the few nights we were there) so you have to go down to order and then go wait at the top. There is also only one, quite small lift which of course means you end up waiting quite a lot at busy times. Very minor issues, though!

Didn't get breakfast from the Hotel, so can't really comment. However, the Cafe is pretty big and there is a pool beside the alfresco area just outside the indoor Hotel cafe. Hotel Staff was super warm, hospitable, and very friendly. GREAT to see a smiley face in the mornings heading out and in the evenings coming back. Room was super spacious and clean. Bed was HUGE (King) and comfortable. Everything like toiletries (shampoo, body wash, conditioner, hand wash & body moisturizer, shower cap, toothbrush kit, cotton tip) has been provided for. There's free Water, Coffee & Tea too!

That I couldn't stay longer than planned! : P I wish I could have STAYED MUCH LONGER than the four (4) nights! :P I WILL DEFINITELY STAY in this Hotel when I visit Jakarta again ... Hopefully, soon! : ))

I really loved the staff , super helpful and very kind! A big shoutout to Jeje and Tharisa, always willing to help and assist. I also loved the new deal you had going at night, All you can eat for $50,000 ($5) Monday to Friday Great selection of foods, desserts and drinks. You also had a similar selection for breakfasts! - Also a big shoutout to the staff there who take your orders and make your drinks! They made me the best coffee everyday!

I would loved to have seen more vegetarian or vegan options on the menu. The chefs were also willing to make any revisions you wanted which was great!

This hotel is an ideal base to explore Jakarta from one of its most upscale areas. It's within walking distance of Monas, the National Museum and Istiqlal mosque. The elegant and lively Sarinah shopping centre is just a bloc away. It's also a convenient location if you plan to take a train from Gambir station to continue your journey into the interior of Java. Staff is typically warm, courteous and helpful. The breakfast is excellent.

Nothing worth mentioning, but notice that if you prefer to be closer to the Taman Fatahillah area, you should consider a different hotel. A taxi ride to Taman Fatahillah from Thamrin might take some 30 minutes,, depending on traffic (but it'd be very cheap).

Locationwise, the hotel is located behind a busy thoroughfare in the middle of jakarta. Situated at a quiet small road giving you a quiet peaceful night while still giving access to the bustling main road. Plaza indonesia, grand indonesia, MRT bundaran HI is all within walking distance. The room is spacious and the bed is comfy! For the staff members, particularly Ms Jeje and Ms Tharisa have provided excellent welcoming service throughout my stay. They’ve given me recommendations on how to navigate around jakarta and how to get to experience indonesia fast train to bandung. I really appreciate the hospitality i received here at the hotel.

The only thing is the hair dryer in my room doesnt seem to have a hot temperature setting. Took a while to dry my hair. But i think this is just a minor inconvenience that i can deal with but would be good if this can be addressed.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Jambuluwuk Thamrin Hotel. The location is excellent, providing convenient access to key areas in the city. The staff were friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. The room size was spacious and comfortable, exceeding my expectations. I also appreciated the high quality of the food, which was both delicious and well-prepared. The ambiance, with its distinct Betawi charm, added a unique cultural touch that made my stay even more memorable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a blend of comfort, culture, and convenience in Jakarta!

To enhance the guest experience further, the hotel could consider providing a complimentary valet service to address the parking limitations. Additionally, offering reflexology services with male therapists as an option would cater to a broader range of guests.

The room was spacious and the bed was comfy. I love the interior design of the room and the bathroom. They provided a hand and body wash, shampoo and conditioner as well as body lotion that smell so good and my skin felt so great after using them. There were many electricity sockets everywhere which was important. The room also has smart TV which allow you to watch Netflix. I love the strategic location of the hotel. it's a 7-8 mins walk to Bundaran HI MRT. Close to many restaurants and street food. The window of the room 603 was quiet small but it didn't bother me at all.

Although the hot water was available, but the pressure of the shower was not that stable. The room was not that soundproof as I can still hear noise of children running around on the next room.

This was my second time staying at Jambuluwuk in Jakarta, and I had another positive experience. The location is excellent - just a 7-minute walk from Sarinah and about 10 - 15 minutes on foot to Grand Indonesia. You're right in the heart of Jakarta, surrounded by skyscrapers and the city's vibrant energy. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. They even reach out via WhatsApp to ask if you’d like your room serviced, which is a nice touch. The hotel is also easy to find for Gojek and Grab drivers, making pickups and deliveries hassle-free. The room was spacious and very clean, with plenty of power outlets, a strong internet connection, and a convenient water dispenser. There's also a small kitchen in the room, although I didn't use it. The hotel offers excellent value for money, especially considering the facilities available. The small gym with a sauna is perfect for a quick workout, and while I didn’t use the pool, it's nice to have the option. The breakfast buffet looked extensive, but I didn’t have the chance to try it. The hotel is about a 35-40 minute drive to Soekarno–Hatta International Airport, which is convenient for travelers. Overall, Jambuluwuk Thamrin Hotel offers a fantastic stay at a great price, and I would definitely return on my next trip to Jakarta.

I noticed that there was no hand soap provided in the bathroom, or at least I didn't see any. It’s a minor detail, but it would be convenient to have. Additionally, the view from the balcony on the 1st and 2nd floors isn't the best, as it overlooks the courtyard. I was aware of this before my stay, so it didn’t bother me much, but it’s something to consider if a view is important to you.

Our room was very large and had a fridge. The swimming pool is small but I really enjoyed it. The staff all tried to be helpful.

The hotel sells beer but they ran out of Bintang Pilsner. The location is central but it is a bit of a maze to get from the hotel to the main Road Jalan Thamrin. The hotel is bit aged and the guests were mainly Indians and Germans while we were there. We went to have dinner on the rooftop but there was noone there so we had dinner in the downstairs restaurant.
