Daily 2 x 375ml btls of water. Small blocks of guest soap provided. Electric kettle. Very substantial buffet breakfast with variety each day. Quiet air conditioner. Clean swimming pool with small fountains and recliner lounges. Conveniently situated close to sim card sales, great eateries, money changers, massage/beauty salons, merchandise stalls, and the great value Brazilian Aussie BBQ. A short walk to the beach, where we enjoyed watching stunning sunsets from about 6pm each evening. The staff were friendly, and helpful. This was the lowest priced accom we've experienced, so far, in Bali, and with all the extras (guest soap, bottled water, buffet breakfast, spacious room and balcony with outdoor setting and clothes drying rack) it was pretty impressive, so after our first arrival night there, we decided to return, and booked our last 3 nights there to wind up our Bali break. And it was close to the airport. During school holidays, in particular, you'll find more children around, and in the pool. If that's not your thing, you might want to go off season.

On arrival, the second time we stayed, the senior male staff at reception gave us our room keys, then bluntly sent us on our way, to find our room. It's a rather large venue, with a few, multi-level buildings, which were not helpfully marked, so we were a bit lost, until we found a member of staff who was able to direct us. Even the first night we stayed, at 2am, after arriving at the airport, the senior male at the 24hr reception, walked us around different paths, then pointed to a building, and sent us on our way. Our experience, wherever we've travelled around the world, including in Bali, has always been staff walking us to our room/apartment, helpfully directing us where to go. This gentleman seemed to lower the standard somewhat.

The room was clean, it was close to the Lippomall, the cafes, beach and shops. The staff were nice and friendly, at reception the staff were helpful, organising our cars for departure and having a space for our baggage after check out

I had a parcel delivered, I thought I would be notified or it would go to my room. I had to ask if it was in reception after I went on the street to pick it up and found it had been in reception the day before. I am 70 years old and I was given a room on the top floor, maybe I should have asked for one on the ground, it was a bit tiring going up and down the stairs

We enjoyed the breakfast and the location was excellent for Convenience!!! Mall next door! Shopping was so cheap at the supermarket downstairs! Great for families with young children! Quiet street off main road and near to discovery mall 10min walk! Sushi Ker located on same street- food was amazing and so cheap! Fresh food! Close to airport! Loved this location travelling with baby and young kids made it super easy for all our needs! Room service was amazing and cheap too! Great value for. Obey! Great food too and cheap!!! Loved it! Sam Taff are friendly too!

Could smell cat poop in some parts.

I was very satisfied with the environment of the Resort. It was so quiet and peaceful. The location is to close the sopping center, Lippo Mall, and some other restaurants. The location was very strategic for accessibility.

It is not about liking or disliking, but, I just want to suggest to you that, the Resort should prepare to shower facilities such as towels, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and shower soaps. I was a bit disagreed because I needed to go out to buy a toothbrush and toothpaste.

I have been staying at Bakungs for 28 yrs ago first trip. Menany times then not for 16 yrs then not for 6 yrs . I love Bakungs local Bali Hotel not flashy but good real people very traditional & very friendly. It is always my first hotel on every trip can't say enough good things about & i reckon best pool ive swum in in over 36 hotels ive stayed at. Its great value , cheap clean & overall friendly. Agung the head barman has been my friend all that time.

Exceptional value for money , fantastic staff in Agung, Ketut & Ayu & Ayi in retaruant. A simple but tradional hotel . Check out the prices yourself. Love Bakungs! And the food & bevefage prices are great. 88

The photos of the rooms on the booking site do not accurately represent the actual conditions. On a positive note, the breakfast is a highlight, featuring a delicious Swedish buffet. The pool is well-maintained and open from 8 am to 9 pm. However, the pool bar was not operational during my stay, though drinks could be ordered from the hotel’s restaurant. Scooter rentals are available for 80,000 IDR per day, with discounts for longer rentals. This hotel is a convenient option for those arriving in Bali and dealing with jet lag. Overall, the price is fair for the provided conditions.

For myself it was a great location, close to the beach/coastal walk . 2 mins from a supermarket to get cheap supplies.. Quiet off the Main Street, nice pool, lounging area with trees and natural surroundings.. Far enough waaay but also close enough to the hustle and bustle of kit and Seminyak when you want it!

Internet wifi needs to be better, always drops out

I recently stayed at Bakung Beach Resort in Kuta, Bali, and had a pleasant experience overall. The location is a significant advantage – the resort is about a 10-15 minute drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport, making it a convenient choice for travelers. Additionally, it is centrally located with easy access to the main shopping streets and a variety of restaurants in the vicinity. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast buffet. The spread was impressive, with a good variety of local and international options. The food was fresh, and it provided a great start to my day. The staff at the resort deserves a special mention as well – they were genuinely some of the friendliest and most helpful I have ever encountered. They went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and attended to any requests promptly. In terms of accommodation, the rooms were decent, though not the most modern. While the furniture and decor could use a bit of an upgrade, the room I stayed in was clean, comfortable, and had all the basic amenities. It served its purpose well for my short stay. The resort’s pool and gardens are well-maintained, providing a serene environment, especially with the soothing music playing in the morning. It was a lovely spot to relax and unwind, away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta’s busy streets. Overall, Bakung Beach Resort offers good value for money, especially for those looking for a centrally located place with excellent service and a relaxing ambiance. While the rooms may not be the most up-to-date, the friendly staff, delightful breakfast, and peaceful surroundings make it a worthwhile stay.

The place was clean . The friendly staff .the room wasn't clean everyday . I think it was day 3 and day 6. But wass given fresh water every day.It was close to shops and beach and not to far from the airport either . My room was lovely . Bed was comfortable I though it was good valve for money . The restaurant food was ok but u had to pay cash only .the breakfast had a range of different food most day was different. I would stay here again for sure if I come back to Bali .
