We came to Kuta , Bali imagining crowded streets, aggressive vendor markets and an over occupied beach around New Years. What we saw and experienced was a quiet corner of Kuta, very calm street side stores with their sellers eager to strike a deal but not bargain much. The beach was crowded on 31st Dec between 9:00 pm - 2:00 am but thats expected. This trip was for our kids and for us to re live our Bali honeymoon. After searching and comparing several hotels in Kuta, we finalized Ramayana and the hotel exceeded our expecations in evert possible way. The Hotel Lobby is simple and elegant. The staff are extremely pleasant and responsive. The Pool was a cool place to be in , both day time and the evenings. We didnt have breakfast as part of our plan so I dont know how was the experience but the settings looked tempting always The have a fabulous sports bar but we didnt get a chance to go there. The kids area is nice and safe for kids to stay , in case the parents are away for a while. We got a New Year Eve's Dinner voucher from Al Dente restaurant which was a pleasant surprise. The dinner experience was awesome with vegetarian options included. The staff was all decked up and they made sure all women and girls also tried the glamour patches. Lots of good music and dancing there ! The Hotel is near the Kuta beach which I found to be pleasantly clean and quiet. For early morning walkers, it was clean as well The Spa was clean and hygenic. The massage for my wife was excellent and rejuvinating. Pity , we got only 1 slot in 4 days. I highly recommend families to consider this property and location . The beach is quieter and less crowded as compared to other places I saw. There are options for water sports but we didn't have time so maybe other visit, another time in future.

Nothing to complain but some how the booking was without breakfast. It would have been nice to have it included at the same price.

The location was fine, it takes about 15-20 minutes to walk to central city of Kuta. The breakfast was good, but it would be beneficial to include gluten free options such as yoghurt, bread, noodles etc. The room was adequate but could use improvements as it appears outdated. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service.

The mattress and pillows were uncomfortable. affecting the overall quality of sleep. The shower head was leaking, and the air conditioning wasn't working because of a leak. However, it was promptly fixed. The Wi-fi wasn't the best, it would occasionally cut off, requiring reconnection. The balcony door wouldn't shut properly due to damage, and it didn't look very nice, it has been fixed. The area outside the restaurant faced a busy road with cars and motorcycles honking, creating excessive noise.

The location was very well appointed, walking distance to everything we needed otherwise a short taxi ride/drive to anything else we couldn't or didn't want to access on foot. The amenities were great, everything we needed on hand. Our room was extremely spacious and the beds were prefect for us. Bonus points for the pillows, they were XL sized but so comfortable. I suffer from migraines and almost never sleep on pillows provided by accommodations, however these were a dream. The room was somewhat 'tired' if you will. but this sort of thing doesn't bother us. The pool was super clean, very well maintained and the daybeds were great. We absolutely loved the bar/lounge area right next to the pool. We were able to order (on site restaurant) food and drinks at any time the pool was open. More bonus points for the music selection, it was so relaxing. We loved the onsite restaurant and were very happy we made the choice to take the daily breakfast option. "Bali Belly" did enter my mind when selecting this buffet option, however all hot options were freshly cooked, cold and fruit selections were kept chilled and water/milks/juices were all separate to allow people to make their own choices. Nobody from our group became unwell at any point in our stay at Ramayana and we ate breakfast/pool service/dinners daily. The restaurant and menu is exceptional, no negative feedback whatsoever. The highlight though, was absolutely the staff. So calm, accommodating and happy to help with anything. They are the best asset of this accommodation.

The only two faults we encountered were the dripping shower head and paint smell from the A/C vent. In hindsight we should have reported these as soon as we noticed it but we didn't spend much or enough time in the room for it to bother us. I do note that alongside the A/C vent, we had another heat pump/aircon unit in the room which we were able to utilise. There also appeared to be some renovations and painting just down the hall from us so while not ideal, we weren't overly fussed. The positives majorly outweighed the small negatives and we would absolutely stay again.

Lovely breakfast everyday included in the room price, fresh fruit, assorted pastries, eggs cooked to your liking and traditional Indonesian cuisine all available everyday

Our room air conditioner was awfully noisy and froze up on multiple occasions, shower temp was warm at best, mosquitos were bad (not the hotels fault) but maybe some insect repellent in the room

I’m unhappy that when I upgraded our room via booking.com for an extra $200 that the included breakfast was taken away. It should still be included as it was already booked and was just a room upgrade

This is an older, but very well maintained hotel that is like an oasis in the center of Kuta. It has well established grounds and a relaxing atmosphere. The beach is a short walk away and there are many good eating options close by. The Waterbom Park is an easy walk away for the family. We had a family suite which was very comfortable.

My wife didn't like the food very much saying it was too bland and the pasta undercooked. The rest of us thought it was good though. The room had a lot of mosquitos upon arrival which we took care of with a quick trip to the mini market for some spray. It was ok inside after that. The wifi would fade in and out making some work zoom calls challenging.

The location of the resort was great close to shops restaurants, banking facilities and Spa’s. The breakfast was delicious plenty to choose from and never had to wait for food as it was always being topped up. My room was both spacious and comfortable. It was only noisy due to inconsiderate guest who insisted on shout to one another in the middle of the night. This is no fault of the resort.

I was travelling with a couple and both hotels we stayed at they were offered an upgrade, as a single person it would have been nice to be offered the same as I paid more for my room to begin with.

The property is set in the heart of Kuta, it’s a great location for shopping, the beach, food and more. The staff were great working around the clock to ensure a great stay. The pool is very big and refreshing. The pool bar is great too! Breakfast is a bit manic at rush hour but that’s to be expected. A good selection of western, cultural and vegetarian dishes along with pastries.

The rooms are not sound proof. I was meant to be in the Junior Suite but they upgraded me to the resort suite upon arrival. As excited and grateful as I was, the noise from outside traffic, and people next door in other rooms can keep you awake. You can hear every cough , sneeze and conversation. I was kept awake most nights by noisy neighbours. My room was in need of a polish also. Broken fixtures around the room didn’t make it feel very 5 star. I had a wonderful stay and I will certainly recommend this hotel but I do wonder how my stay would have been if I just had my original Junior suite.

I had a suite which was very nice and clean. I had a nice view of the swimming pool, but the room was very quiet. The bathroom was huge. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was very nice, the bar and restaurants in the hotel were very tasty. The location is very good and you can reach the airport in less than 10 minutes. And you can walk to the beach in 5 minutes.

There were plenty of sun loungers by the pool. However, some of the guests, before going to breakfast, put their books, shoes or towels on the lounger to reserve it. And they disappear for more than 2-3 hours. So you can see many empty sun loungers but you can't use them. I would recommend the hotel to make a regulation for such things to allow everyone to stay at the pool.

We got a free upgrade which included suite lounge access- a lovely surprise. Breakfast selection was really diverse and everything tasted delicious. Staff were warm and welcoming. Suite lounge was a lovely place to relax and await our transfer to the airport. Little oasis in the centre of a very busy area.

We were put into a suite overlooking a very loud bar (621) playing music all evening - completely ruined the peaceful environment. Rain shower also did not work. Staff were able to assist with a room change (628) which was facing the gardens, however from 11am banging and construction noise above was heard. Not really the 5 star experience we would expect. Lots of mosquitos in the room and balcony did not have any furniture. There was also a bad smell in the hallway, smelt like Dorian fruit, reported to staff and they attempted to cover up the smell with air spray. Overall, given this it was definitely more of a 4 star experience than 5.
