The hospitality in this property is beyond excellent. Staff members remember your name, which I think is a really nice gesture from them. I also loved that the room was spacious and comfortable with all the basic amenities included. The service over all was great, and the food was delicious (both restaurant and in room dining). INO from the dining room was super friendly and smiley :)

I think that it's time for the property to do some renovation and maybe change some outdated features in the room (for instance, the TV in the bedroom was quite old).

Sanchaya is a tropical paradise, offering a chance to relax in quiet surroundings with beautiful views. Our villa was well equipped, beautifully decorated, and bed was super comfortable. Staff’s attention is top notch, everyone is very attentive and friendly- they made our stay a real pleasure. They even cleaned our room during the day when we were out by the pool, even though we stayed for one night only - so we were always coming back to a perfect villa. Food in both restaurants was delicious and portions were really good - we had a chance to taste local Indonesian cuisine- and chef was so nice too! Pool is amazing too, and I loved the fact that there was no background music, as we could just relax and listen to the wind and palm trees rustling around us. All in all we had a perfect stay and I wish our work was not so busy so that we could spend more time in Sanchaya :)

The only small complaint I have is that there was sometimes a bit of a foul smell coming from the pipes in the toilet cubicle which is not great, given the price tag. Also age starts to show a bit in few places around the pool - I was fine with it, but some people may notice. Aside from that, everything was perfect:)

I had a truly remarkable stay at The Sanchaya Bintan from August 31 to September 2. From the moment we landed, the hotel ensured a seamless experience, managing everything from passport clearance at the ferry terminal to our smooth return home. A brief 10-minute drive led us to the hotel's stunning colonial façade, private beach, and proximity to water sports. The hospitality was exceptional, starting with a warm welcome from GM Mr. Greg and Front Office Manager Nawa. Fadil gave us a thorough and friendly tour, offering valuable insights. Chef Budi impressed with incredible food and even went the extra mile to prepare something special. The bar staff made a memorable impression by introducing my son to cigars with patience and expertise. Juni, our driver, was particularly outstanding. His friendliness and guidance made our island tour, including the visit to Pulau Penyegat and the snorkeling adventure, truly memorable. Maria and the male waiter at the restaurant made our dining experiences delightful. The beach day was enhanced by thoughtful service from the pool staff, who provided towels, sunscreen, and water without being asked. The Sanchaya Suite exceeded our expectations and was as beautiful as depicted online. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so relaxing and enjoyable after a busy period in Singapore. We'll definitely return to this serene and exceptional destination.

The Sanchaya was a little piece of paradise that I was fortunate enough to experience. There are many wonderful things about the Sanchaya experience. I will mention just a few. One, the one standout feature above everything else, is the staff at the Sanchaya ... they were all incredibly helpful, kind, generous and friendly and they took a personal interest in our stay, while at the same time, maintaining the highest professional standards. It made my wife and I feel so special, to be welcomed on arrival at the hotel by the manager Greg himself, and his team. It would be invidious to mention any specific staff members, given that they were all so special, and each one of them stood out in his or her own way. But I have to say that Wawan was a constant presence, always friendly, always wonderfully helpful. Two, the art! Everywhere that the eye looked, including in our villa, there was an antique, an art object, a painting, a piece of furniture that was not just striking and beautiful, but positioned in just the exact right way. I had the sense that every detail had been thought through by someone with an exquisite artistic taste. Three, I have to say that it felt very special to step off the ferry and straight to the Sanchaya lounge at the ferry terminal, sipping coffee and eating snacks in the tastefully decorated lounge, while the staff sorted everything out. The experience was repeated on the way back, as the staff dealt with all formalities, and we were simply waved through. And four, last but not least, the wonderfully creative and delicious food, from breakfast through to dinner (my wife also did the cookery course, and she picked up so many helpful ideas from Yunike, who helped us in so many other ways). We also got to meet Budiarto, the Executive Chef, who provided a magical touch to all the dishes that we ate. My wife and I were left with wonderful memories of a very special and unique resort hotel.

The property is stunning, the decor is well curated and every room was beautifully furnished. The hospitality of the team is a class of its own. It is very private and quiet and we liked that.Special mention to Ms Nawa + the staff at the front desk who always greeted my young kids by their names and Mr Aizal for entertaining them while we enjoyed our time at the padel court. We had left a baby bottle in the room unknowingly, but they actually sent someone to give it to me just before the ferry left the terminal. We appreciate it and thank the team for going the extra few miles! Dear management, I think they deserve a bonus soon 👌🏼

I guess the menu could include more variety, but the kitchen was able to provide dishes that were off the menu.

I'm truly humbled by the exceptional hospitality provided by the staff on site. Firstly I would like to thanks Septi, Kristi and Eky for ther prompt response to my enquing on the mariage proposal at the estate. They have made it easy for me to decide my venue for the biggest surprise. On the day of arrival, we we greeted by Siti, Roy and another guy who I forgot the name. I was warmly greeted by the staff, whose genuine smiles and friendly demeanour immediately made us feel welcome and valued. Once we have arrived at the estate, Greg the general managor greeted us at the entrance and we were enveloped with warm welcome. As the staycation is for a marriage proposal. The artisans at the hotel discreetly kept the secret, ensuring that every details remained confidential to create a perfect proposal. Special mention te Dian and Bino for ensuring that our dinner by the beach was a peaceful and romantic one. As well as Pipit, who is always the front desk with a big smile on her face. Aizal as well as for giving me and my gf a brief introduction to padle tennis which we had a good time playing. Given the chance, I would return to the resort again in a heartbeat, thanks to its exceptional hospitality and welcoming atmosphere.

The Sanchaya outdid themselves again. We celebrated our wedding anniversary there and were treated like family. The upgrade to a suite was a lovely surprise, complete with a warm welcome message. The food was delicious , and the staff went above and beyond to cater to our every need. The spa experience was a highlight, leaving us feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. As we departed, we couldn't help but check our calendar to when we would have the chance to return.

We were wow-ed by the exceptional hospitality from all the staff at The Sanchaya. We were blessed by the excellent service from the front desk manager/staff (Ms Nawa & Mr Roy), to the service staff at the dining room (Mr Yohan, Mr Ino, Ms Elma) and the housekeeping staff. The meals we had at their dining room were a class of its own - we highly recommend to explore the local dishes!

Beautiful space, excellent facilities and great food and cocktails. Feels like paradise when you’re there. Staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. I left a necklace behind at the resort and Madon (the hotel manager) went to great lengths to have it returned to me. We had an amazing stay and will definitely be back.

The staff were all very courteous, friendly and help including the top management. This was reflected all the way when we arrived at the ferry terminal and till our departure to board the ferry home. This is something that all people who are in the hospitality industry should adopt, regardless of the type of property. Sadly, not many. We also like the food that were being served at The Dining Room. The serving staff were so patient (especially Maria and she has fantastic memory).

It's true that the property is a bit rundown though very well maintained. The public areas are okay. The room itself may need some refurbishment like the flooring, main door (when you closed the down, you can see a gap between the frame and the door already) and the tabletops (need polishing)
