This is the 5th time i am back to Cassia. I am always looking forward to the breakfast because of this variety. However on my current stay, i notice that breakfast has been split into Asia and Western spread. It is a good idea because not all western guest appreciate the Asia spread. The only thing i need to share is that, under the western spread, for 4 days breakfast they are the same. It might look boring if i am from the west. It is always tomato, bake bean, chicken and beef sausage and one more i cant remember. There are still many things that can be placed in the spread like, mini pizza (which i saw it was available for one morning breakfast), sandwiches, mushrooms, hash browns etc. Or maybe chicken nuggets, Nacos, quiche cups etc. Asia spread is nice because everyday different. Today i have fish, tmr i have chicken and the next day i have chicken again but cook in different style. Just a 2 cents of thoughts. But overall breakfast is good. Cheers.

We had a wonderful stay at Cassia Bintan with my wife and our 5-year-old daughter. We loved the hotel, the access to the pools (including those of the neighbouring property), the delicious food, and above all, the kindness and warmth of the entire staff. The beach right in front of the hotel is stunning, with warm, crystal-clear water — truly paradise. Unfortunately, our daughter was stung by a jellyfish during one of our beach outings. It was a very painful experience that took about three days to stabilise and will take a few more weeks to fully heal. That said, I want to give special recognition to the hotel staff. As I ran carrying my daughter in pain, they immediately came running with a spray bottle of vinegar to neutralise the sting and helped remove some of the stingers. They also arranged transport to the clinic, where she received the necessary medical care. Upon our return to the hotel, they provided us with a bucket of ice and towels to take to our room and help ease the pain — which we had to apply for the next two days. Thankfully, she is now recovering well. Despite this unfortunate incident, it was still an unforgettable experience, and we are grateful for the care and support we received from everyone at the hotel.

Cassia Bintan review: We had a fantastic time at Cassia Bintan resort. The front desk receptionist Tyara was very helpful and helped us arrange for early check in and late check out, which really helped us a lot as our departing ferry was at a late timing. She even helped to drive us in a buggy to Treetops restaurant at Banyan Tree in order to save us time as the regular buggy has not arrived yet. Tasia is very helpful and friendly as well. They also offer free flow of ice water at Vista cafe for guests. Vista cafe is non-aircon hence the ice water is a life saver. Remember to make use of Xana Beach club’s happy hour at 4pm daily to enjoy 50% off selected F&B. We loved the pool/billiard, table tennis and chess area. But we love the swimming pools and beach the most. All the facilities are shared between Cassia, Angsana and Banyan resorts, hence we were free to use all the facilities in the 3 resorts, including Angsana’s pool and Rangers Kids club. Pool towels are provided both in the room and at the swimming pools. The service was top notch and we really enjoyed ourselves. The kids also enjoyed snorkeling.

Vista and Lotus restaurants are non-aircon. Could be quite hot in the afternoons. But it’s ok as we spend most of the afternoons in the pools.

We booked 2 garden apartments (2 bedrooms each) for 6, and were pleasantly surprised by the magnificent seaview from our units, even though we were a bit of a walk to the hotel lobby. The apartment itself is spacious and new. TV had lots of channels and wifi was good. Really like the thoughtful touches in our apartment including rubber slippers, big umbrellas, well equipped kitchenette (no coffee pods provided for coffee machine though) and lots of storage spaces. I also like that there were sunbeds and floats provided at the hotel pool area. There was a covered shortcut to breakfast (at Angsana hotel's cafe). Breakfast buffet spread was good. There is a minimart at Cassia where you can purchase some groceries if you decide to cook (we didn't). We like that both hotels share their facilities and the private beach front is beautiful. The hotel staff was very friendly too.

It was monsoon season so it rained heavily half the time we were there and we could hear the wind howling all night long in our apartment with some rain seeping through the bottom of our sliding door/bedroom windows (bottom of curtains were wet in the morning). We did not see any water activities while we were there even though it was promoted (probably because of the weather). There were some rusty exercise machines in the garden which didn't look safe to play on. The kids club at Angsana was only for children up to 10, so our 11 year old couldn't join. Nevertheless the location works if you want a relaxing holiday with not much to do, and are content to eat at the hotel. The closest township is 30 mins drive out of the resort area

For breakfast , I feel that the cooked food is too oil & spicy for breakfast . Good to include more Chinese food like steamed fish , chicken wings , soups. The Coffee is fantastic . The staffs are attentive to our requests & provided wonderful service during our stay. Love the variety of fruits & salads sweet bananas

Didn’t like the cooked stations at the breakfast restaurant… example noodle as too oily The 3rd party transport company is not very honest & clear in providing the right information Went down to small town ( paid > 900,000 rupiahs) , driver is grumpy , didn’t enjoy the trip experience Information given about the small town is not correct - told us can shop around for 2 hours but there is nothing for us to shop or see there . It is a wasted trip in terms of time & money Despite a few feedbacks to cassia team , we know they tried their best but it is beyond them . Appreciate their negotiation for 10% discount for the trip transportation charged

The hotel area is beautiful, the beach is well-kept and beautiful, the pool is clean. The staff is polite and pleasant. The beds are comfortable. Breakfasts in the neighboring hotel are good. Tasty and inexpensive ice cream

The room cleaning was not good. Towels were changed every other day, and the small ones were taken away and new ones were not brought. The air conditioners smelled of must. The water was not tasty. The food was overpriced and the quality was not up to par. Water for 90,000 Indonesian rupiah was too much. There was nowhere to go from the hotel, no alternative.

The property was wonderful. We enjoyed that we were able to use the pool and restaurants at the adjoining facility. Buffet breakfast was great by day 4 we would have liked some more variety in the food - but it tasted good. Rooms were great, clean and good kitchenette. Had I known I would Have taken some more snacks/ lunch food of my own. Wifi was excellent. The staff was amazing. Great quick get away from Singapore.

The only downfall was the trash on the beach. At least once a day the tide left a decent amount of trash on the beach. They were quick to clean it up but until they did it took away from the beauty of the view.

We, a family of four, came last year around this time too. Buffet breakfast at Lotus Cafe is definitely better than at Vista Cafe. The draw of course is the beach in front of the hotel doorstep, and swimming pool just in front of the beach. Kitchen is compact and adequate. Good for catering family with children. Cassia friends (staff) are helpful.

I tried not to use free wifi because it is unsecured, I received warning from my mobile app and used data roaming most of the time. Used free wifi on less sensitive device for entertainment. If secured wifi is provided it would be better.

Spectacular setting, right on the beautiful beach. Beautiful clean resort. The staff were all so friendly and wonderful, couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast was great with lots of variety. The ocean was beautiful and warm and the ability to use the pool at Angsana was great and we frequented this pool a lot. Recommend having a treatment at the Angsana spa, was a fantastic experiencel. Wine prices are insane so tip is to utilise happy hour where you can get a great burger and cocktails for reasonable prices. All in all a wonderful stay.

There could be more pool/beach lounges made available, particularly when you have an influx of 200 school children.

This hotel was fantastic, we had to cancel a trip to Bali due to weather and picked this as an alternative and couldn't have been happier. The staff went above and beyond and after asking for something special for my parents 40th wedding anniversary they left a beautiful message on their bed for check in. The beach is really nice and the infinity pool was really nice. There are multiple restaurants to choose from so there was always something for everyone.

The meals were pretty pricey for Indonesia but not more than other western cities
