Beautiful setting with well separated villas some with own pool Such lovely staff In particular our lovely buggy drivers and the team who kept our two bedroom villa so carefully - including Rhamad and Razil ( maybe wrong spelling !) The helpful pool staff at the beach bar as well as all who delivered our food both in the restaurant and to the villa - so charming and interactive with our 5 year old . The surrounding wildlife and vegetation was very special . The beach is long and beautiful and seemed safe for swimming

A little difficult to just walk anywhere off site ; price of wine ( we knew was Muslim country but even so a bit expensive) ; the marble tiles around our stunning infinity view pool were very slippy even when mildly wet and one walked cautiously ; very much a fall hazard .

Our stay at the Banyan Tree Resort on Bintan was truly one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The villa was absolutely stunning—spacious, beautifully designed, and complete with a private swimming pool that felt like our own little sanctuary. The resort is surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty, offering serene ocean views and lush greenery in every direction. Each of the restaurants we tried served delicious food, with a variety of options to please our taste buds. What really set the experience apart, though, was the staff. Everyone we encountered was warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to make our stay special. If you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, this is the perfect place to unwind and recharge. Highly recommended!

Most of the staff I in hotels are trained to be polite. In Banyan Tree the staff IS kind. We were welcome with smiles, attention and love we never experienced in other hotels (and we travel a lot). The manager has been very generous, moving us to a better villa since the workers were making sometimes noise building a roof. The SPA treatments were fabulous. We are still walking on clouds after loving touch of Rose and Thalia. The breakfast buffet was bountiful, food in the restaurants tasty. But really what makes this hotel special is how attentive the staff is- they were calling us by our names, remembering well our villa number, what we order last time for dinner and what tea we like to drink most. I am really impressed. I wish I was treated in every hotel like here at the Banyan Tree. What I like is also that they support local schools and protection projects for the turtles. This place is simple a great vibe. Thank you 🙏🏻

Loves their breakfast at the treetops. Amazing spread of a variety of breakfasts to choose from. Not to mention a breathtaking view of the sea and enjoying the breeze. The staff were friendly, polite, and attentive. Especially we wish to delegate and express my compliments to these staff namely Darwis, Karis & Elfhadi whom they are taking care of us throughout our stays in Banyan Tree. Not only that they demonstrated beyond the extra mile to take care of our needs. This is something that exceeds our expectations in terms of customer service and professionalism. Hope Banyan Tree will recognize these staff and award them for their good customer service. Kudos to them! Keep up the good work!

Some of these can be improved such as: 1) Offering complimentary ferry transport from the ferry to the hotel. 2) Have a designated mini-mart that is stipulated at Banyan Tree itself sells more varieties like snacks, drinks, etc instead of having to go to Cassia. Moreover, not many varieties of items to buy. 3) The villa should have a clean pool-like relaxation pool upon guests checking in rather than guests having to call the receptionist to change new water. 4) TV can be improved like SMART TV able to access Netflix or more channels.

Our family recently had the most memorable stay at Banyan Tree Bintan, and we cannot thank the team enough for making it such a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality exceeded all expectations. The view from our villa was breathtaking, offering a serene and picturesque backdrop that made every moment special. Having access to the other hotels and facilities on the beach was great, as we had young children to entertain as well. Banyan Tree Bintan has given us memories to cherish for a lifetime, and we look forward to returning in the future. Thank you for everything!

Wonderful staff, very friendly. Our villa was very pleasant. The swimming pools were delightful and the beach was beautiful & cleaned regularly.

It's sad to see so much litter coming in from the sea/shipping lanes/fishermen/surrounding countries (?) and I guess it would take a huge international effort to stop this from happening. And while the beach is cleaned regularly, there is still quite a bit of litter piled at the far end of the beach. It would be nice to clean the beach completely.

The villa’s with private pool were great as we were travelling with e group of friends it gave us a nice private space for gathering. The view from the infinity pool over the sea was terrific. The location is nice upon a hill and from the swimming pool u can walk easily up to the beach. Coz its going up and downhill u can walk tot hebrestaurants or swimming pool if ur up for it, but because of the heat it was easily to go by a buggy. Roomservice and ordering a buggy is really with whatsapp you can contact the reception, they answer imediatly. they have 3 restaurants and the indonesian and thai cuisine was good and easy so u dunt have to leave the resort. We were there during the week so not to crowded and felt like we had the pool for just ourselves but when we were leaving on friday it started to get crowded.

When its busy hours it may take a while for the buggy to pick u up and you have to wait.

Beautiful hotel- a little outdated in some areas, but not every hotel can be shiny and new! The hotel staff were amazing- nothing was too much and they always had a smile on their face. The restaurants were all very good and we enjoyed eating every night

A small thing, but for Europeans the breakfast was limited. I appreciate that the majority of guests were Asian, but after 6 days I did get bored of breakfast!
