Most beautiful interior design hotel. We like the serene artwork design of the floorings and soothing wall arts. We love the environmental friendly wooden key cards, smart on-off shower design and glass bottled water. Absolute convenience with direct sheltered access to Grand Batam Mall via level 2 - 5 lift lobby. Alternatively, it’s 30 secs to the mall from main lobby and 1min walk to massage place. Front desks personnels are welcoming, showering guest with a perfect 5-star experience. Thank you Salika and Salsa for arranging a taxi during peak hours, taking care of my luggage before check-in and arranging house keeping.

It is hotel’s soft launch period, and house-keeping is catching up on missed room cleaning and non-working hot shower. All else is wonderful.

The location was awesome. You have the grand mall just beside the hotel and the supermarket is cheaper than Nagoya. It is walkable to the Penguin market where you can get breakfast and dry goods. However the hotel’s breakfast is also good where they offer a wide spread of food!

I was supposed to be celebrating an important occasion and has informed the r hotel much earlier that I would like to have a surprise during the stay. The hotel replied only one day before the actual occasion that they have taken note of my request but yet nothing was done on the actually day. It was disappointing though.. I was still anticipating a surprise when I come back from outside or during breakfast..

There was initial hiccup to our room reservations. Our rooms, which were prepaid, were not captured in their system upon our arrival. It was eventually resolved with a free upgrade of rooms n complimentary trays of designer cakes. Thank you for making it right. 😀 - Staffs are friendly and helpful - Recently built in Jul 2024 - ⁠Stylishly designed rooms with modern fixtures - ⁠Comfortable bed and pillows - ⁠Conveniently located beside the upmarket Grand Batam Mall - ⁠2 water dispensers on 19th floor, ensuring continuous supply of clean drinking water without the need to buy bottles of mineral water. - ⁠Beside the hotel , there are 2 spas located side by side; newly opened in April 2025 Siam Odyssey and AESPA - ⁠20% discount in AESPA for Oakwood guests

🙁 - ⁠Aircon on 19th floor common corridor was not working; warm n stuffy . Not a pleasant walk to the lift lobby or back to my room. - ⁠No aircon in lifts; warm n stuffy. It’s not a pleasant ride in the lift since I live on a high floor. - No complimentary mineral water bottles - The water dispenser at the lift lobby was not working. - The road in front of the hotel lobby can get very congested with cars as the hotel and mall share the same carpark. For the safety of hotel guests, there should be a sheltered zebra crossing on this road leading to the mall.

Hotel: The hotel smells very nice and is right next to Grand Batam. The infinity pool is lovely can oversee Batam city centre. Breakfast selection is not bad. There are cereal, yogurt, fruits, noodles and nasi lemak (no live cooking station). Surroundings: There are two spa places downstairs the hotel and are reasonably priced with great environment.

I stayed in room 1612 and it was the last room in the corridor. It was a little spooky because my head hurt when I entered this 2 bedroom suite, especially the master bedroom. I could not sleep as the air con in master bedroom was not working. I left the lights in the living room on. At 1am 2am 3am 4am I kept hearing plastic bags noises in the living room. My baby sat down after shower near toilet bowl and there was an unnatural force that pushed her head towards the sharp edge of the bathroom door, causing her head to bleed. I think some cleansing ceremony will be needed for this room.

The hotel is very conveniently located next to Grand Batam mall. The reception and concierge staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and feature incredibly comfortable beds and pillows—one of the best I've experienced. I even considered buying the pillow to take home, but unfortunately, the hotel doesn't sell them. The kitchenette is well-equipped and hygienic, and I appreciated the variety of lighting options in the room, allowing for either bright illumination or a softer ambiance before bed. Additionally, the hotel's provision of water dispensers is a thoughtful touch.

The room cleaning was not completed by 4 p.m., which seemed a bit late. Additionally, the hand towels were not provided after clean up. The complimentary toiletries and coffee sachets were not replenished.

This is my second time staying at this hotel, and I've thoroughly enjoyed my stay both times. A special thanks to Salsa, the concierge, for her exceptional service. We requested two rooms next to each other, as we were travelling with elderly family members and children. While we understood it might be a challenging request, Salsa went above and beyond by arranging three rooms next to each other for us. Thank you for making the arrangement! The mall is located next to the Grand Batam Mall. So it's definitely a great location.

What I really like about the hotel is the room and the outfitings in the room. The design of the room contains many modern outfitings such as USB ports and touch light mirrors. The overall design gives a blend of modernity that blends in with the Oakwood theme without feeling cheap or overdone. The toilet outfitings are done well and i enioyed using the different buttons in the shower. It is difficult to stay at other hotels in Batam after experiencing Oakwood, as even though the rooms in other hotels may be more spacious they do not compete in terms of overall feel and polish compared to my stays at Oakwood. This all ties in with the environmentally friendly theme which the hotel makes clear they are promoting without having to mention it directly.

Staff (Jihan) was friendly and very nice. Knowledgeable in her work and very helpful. The location was impeccable, right next to Grand Batam Mall which practically has all you need, and is even attached via the carpark to the mall. Opposite the busy road, you can find local wet markets and kopitiams, so that's even better. It also has a partnership (offers 20% discount off full packages) with the very nice massage parlour Aespa, 2 doors down. When crossing the small street from Grand Batam Mall, the front door security also notices with initiative when you want to cross, and help you stop the car.

Room was smaller than expected for the price, and the price was steeper, but it IS a very new hotel (opened in July 2024). A little difficult to find your way the first time from Grand Batam Mall (go through Food Xerience, then through the glass door to the toilet, walk down 1 flight of staircase to the glass door on your left).

Very good & convenient location near a large shopping mall. New hotel with a lovely room that has a very comfortable bed with large & medium pillows! Love the bathroom, too! Good rainshower water pressure! All the staff are friendly with wonderful smiles! Mthks to Front Desk staff Maya who assisted with late check-out at 1p.m. although we only stayed a night. Much appreciated! Also, the female staff who attended to our check-in ( apologies, forgotten her name ) was helpful! We will definitely stay here again if we come back in the future. Mthks all for a very pleasant & lovely memorable stay!

Toilet water pressure is a bit low, but not a problem, really.

The staff was friends and helpful. The environment was really clean. The towel smells so fresh! The linen was clean. The room was spacious and bright. It is conveniently located next to the Grand Batam Mall. Especially satisfied with the sustainability aspect of this hotel. There was a water filter at the lift lobby to refill our flask (reduction in plastic bottles). There were also recycling bins at the lift lobby for us to dispose recyclables.

There were some ongoing renovations during our stay, so it was really noisy in the afternoon, especially on the second day. The buffet breakfast spread was not fantastic. The bed was ok but the pillow was really comfortable.
