Price quality is really good, the location for us was perfect, having a scooter. Already on the way to the principal attractions, and only 5 km from the action regarding restaurants, markets and beaches, and the harbours. By walking only 2 minutes from the property there are 3-4 good warnings for when you don't want to go out in the evening. Pool, garden, room all very nice, although not new, but well maintained. The staff, in particular the front office is extremely helpful, they even prepared us breakfast at 6.15 because our ferry left at 8. Normally breakfast starts at 7.30 am. It was almost empty during our 6 days stay, which is strange because it is a really good proposition all considered. It must be said it was extremely quiet all over Nusa Penida during our stay, most of the warnings only having 1 or 2 tables occupied during the evening. The one thing the accommodation could really improve is that because of the lack of guests they became inactive themselves, waiting for action but only doing their job and scrolling on their cellphones. I think that is not the right spirit. Having said that, we had a great time and would definitely recommend Mamaras Guest house.

Very happy with this place. They organised my shuttle pick-up and drop off as well as organised my boat tickets to the next place. Very convenient! Rented a scooter from them too for exploring the island. The pool is very nice and some local restaurants are immediately nearby with great food. Overall, very satisfied!

Nestled away on a hilltop forest away from the hustle of the city Center, MAMARAS is an absolute dream for anyone looking for a quiet getaway. While there are small eateries around, the popular sunset bars and beaches are quite far away. The staff is also quite helpful and pleasant. I had chosen to stay here because it was close to the dive Center where I was getting certified, so it served my purpose. One tip: the standalone bungalows cost slightly more but are far far better. Would definitely recommend going for those

Just one tiny complaint - there wasn’t enough light in the room. Since the doors were glass, the curtains had to be drawn even during the day and the light inside was quite dim. Perfect for mood setting on a romantic getaway, but not for anything else

The pool, breakfast delicious, environment, atmosphere. The snorkeling trip with mantarays, fish and turtles was spectacular arranged by hotel, beach trips and massages at the end of a long day touring. Crystal Bay is a short ride away with great off the beach snorkeling. There is also a beach club Amok Sunset which picks and drops you off from the guesthouse which we realised after research - this needs to be better advertised by Mamaras as guest can enjoy also as complimentary shuttle. Rooms cleaned everyday and beds made. They will pick up and drop off from Harbour and have drivers that take you everywhere, you pay but it is convenient and easy.

The extra bed is just a mattress on the floor. My 10 year old wasnt impressed. She got use to it. Small open vents in wal above curtain rail,l which means lizards and mosquitos could get in, but it was okay as we got use to it and left lights on outside and bathroom to keep things away which worked.

I prearranged pick up from wharf, a gentleman was waiting with a sign with our name as soon as we got of the boat. Helped us with luggage and made for a quick and easy exit from the wharf. The Guest house is a in a lovely spot close to Crystal Bay, Amok Sunset Bar -which offers free shuttle to and from Guest House. Also very close to Gamat Bay. Upon arrival we arranged a driver for the next day of the West coast, they arranged for us to have a break back at the Accommodation for a couple of hours and then dropped us off at Crystal Beach for the sunset and picked us up again later, all in the price for 1 day. Driver also took pictures of us as we went to different locations. The room was lovely, bathroom still looks new. Bed and pillows very comfortable. The cottage did get warm but does have air conditioning. Breakfast is basic but enough and you couldn’t expect more for accommodation at this price. Also has a lovely pool. We noticed English in Nusa Penida is not the same as in Bali, but the people are beautiful, and want to make your stay as best as possible. We would definitely recommend this Guest House

Really clean rooms and comfortable beds. Provided tea and coffee and had good options for breakfast including fresh juices. The staff were really helpful and accommodating when we changed our booking last minute to include an extra person. The guest house is in a beautiful setting surrounded by jungle. It was lovely to wake up and have a coffee on our patio!

It is tucked away in a peaceful area which was lovely but requires taxi/bike rental (not a downside but just something to bear in mind!).

The environment was beautiful. I loved the swimming pool and gardens. The breakfast was very good, particularly the banana juice. The staff were very helpful and kind... they even lent me their own personal bicycle for a few hours. Although it's only a couple of kilometres from the two popular snorkelling beaches, Crystal Bay and Gamat Bay, it's a steep road back, so you have to be fit and enjoy walking unless you drive of course. Gamat Bay, which is a much nicer walk, was my favourite for snorkelling. I really enjoyed my time here and would highly recommend it.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mamaras. The bungalows were great and the garden was beautiful. The pool was nice, with some great sunbeds. There is a restaurant (Larista) and a small store right next to Mamaras. Very convenient! We rented a scooter at Mamaras (which is very much necessary to get around), the scooter was perfect for the narrow and bumpy roads of Nusa Penida. All in all, we would highly recommend staying here!

Quiet, clean, large room with huge bathroom and lovely deck. Breakfast included was good. Friendly, helpful staff. Awesome restaurants nearby.

You are in the middle of the west side of the island, a good hour walk to Gamat Beach. A good 30 minutes from the port and the water activities, stores, atm. You need a scooter or a taxi to take you places. They did rent scooters at the Guest House.

Great place to stay. Room was very nice. Close to the harbour and from here we booked a private driver who drove us to the highlights (8 hours is enough as long as you leave early (no later than 7AM to beat the crowds). The facilities are good. One of our suitcases got very wet during the boattrip so all the clothes needed to get washed. No problem, Mamaras arranged it right away. Also enough restaurants in the neighbourhood. The swimming pool is also nice.
