Great place to stay for the most beautiful sunset. Waking up and looking out the window to the sea was the best. The hotel has everything - good restaurant, nice staff, beautiful infinity pool and wonderful massage onsite. I love this hotel especially with kids.

It was a little far from all the swimming beaches, but everything is accessible via car

The property is located near a black sand beach and has beach access a minute away. It's almost like a private pebble beach with beautiful blue waters. The staff is unbelievably helpful and polite. Highly recommended for all kinds of guests.

We loved everything about the Angkal, from the location to the staff and the amenities. The pool is absolutely gorgeous with such a beautiful view over the sea. The Hotel is East facing and we could see the sun rise over Lombok. Plenty of loungers with umbrellas and trees offering shade. The staff is so lovely, thanks for taking such good care of us! Everyone is so friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The driver, Kadek, they got for us was super lovely. He kindly took us around the main sights of the island. We do very much recommend him too! The food and restaurant was delicious and also offers impressive views. The bungalows, porch and bathroom are tastefully furnished. There's a few warungs and a small supermarket around the Angkal and the Goa Giro Putri temple is 10 min away by car.

As we were vegetarians, there are not many options . They had limited breakfast only. But the view from our cottage was really good. The water in the shower area and wash basin was little salty though.

Wonderful experience here. The food at the restaurant is some of the finest food I've had in Indonesia. I had both dinner and breakfast, and had the service team promptly deliver my floating breakfast to the pool at 7:00 am. The bungalows are beautiful and the outdoor bathrooms provide a beautifully authentic feel. The view from the infinity pool across the ocean and overlooking Lombok is breathtaking. Getting up for sunrise is a must.

My only two criticisms: a) The walls are fairly thin, and I heard a fairly good deal of noise around the property as I was trying to settle in for an early bedtime. This is probably expected at most resort properties. b) The A/C unit certainly worked, but because the room was so large and the unit is not in line with the mattress, I didn't sense the room actually cooling down at all while in bed. I would prefer a room that gets much colder.

Angkal Resort is very beautiful and peaceful! We had booked 2 rooms that were beach facing - had a cottage feel to it. Both rooms were very nice! I loved the infinity pool as well! The sunrise was a bonus. We could see it right from our room. The breakfast was also very good. Decent veg options, not too many, but manageable if you also consume eggs! Also I did appreciate the free harbour pick up and drop option. We did not use it because we had made other arrangements. But it was good to know that this option was available. Overall would definitely recommend Angkal resort!

Very stylish, peaceful, quiet hotel. The free pick up and drop off at the port was a really good and much appreciated service. Staff were very friendly, polite, efficient and helpful. Lovely infinity pool with view overlooking the sea - beautiful. Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Big bed, good air con and all the facilities you would need. Lovely big verandah. Pretty, open air bathroom with good shower. Spa services were good.

Breakfast could have been better - the main part was fine but the fruit plate was too small for one person let alone two. You also had to pay if you wanted a second cup of tea or Bali coffee - just felt a bit mean. Some choices were not available. The location means you do need transport to get places.

I have nothing bad to say about this stay. The free shuttle bus to and from the pier was very convenient and saved a lot of hassle. The hotel and restaurant staff are welcoming and very professional. The hotel is quite secluded, offering a peaceful environment however, you can hire bikes at the hotel if you want to explore the island. The hotel will also give you numbers for local taxis if you are not experienced riding a bike. Overall you cannot go wrong with this stay and would recommend.
