This location is remote... ideal for a complete get-away from noise and hussle. With hindsight, I wanted to do both snorkelling and diving, so it would have been better for me to stay near the harbour, where most of the dive shops are. Mesari cottage did provide a scooter at minimal cost, this was a great advantage.

If I could rate them with 100, I would've done it! Mesari cottage is an amazing place if you want to get disconnected, to listen to the sound of the ocean, have a breeze all the time, look at the beautiful sunrise every morning from your balcony and just enjoy the sounds of nature. I had an amazing 4-night stay! Wayan and his family were absolutely fantastic! Guys, the home-made food she makes is unbelievable! You'll love your breakfast here, and I recommend also to grab dinner. Cottages are very comfortable: big beds, big bathrooms, hot shower, AC, everything was stunning. I have no words to describe their hospitality! If you want to get around, rent a scooter and you're good to go. I didn't have one, but yet Wayan helped me and also I discovered an empty beach only for me in the nearby village.

The situation is so nice, up on a little hill with view in the sea. Very quiet place far from tourists . East coast, not far from Diamond Beach The bungalow are large , new, bed is very comfortable. Wifi is also very good And last but not least : Wayan is so friendly and helpful . He owns the restaurant just beside, Warung forest, the best of Nusa Penida We stayed 10 days, wonderful . You can rent scooter there for a very good price

We had the most amazing stay at Mesari Cottage in Nusa Penida! The couple running the place were incredibly sweet and helpful, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The hospitality was beyond what we expected, and it truly made our trip unforgettable. During our stay, we noticed a tiny puppy that was in need of care. She was so skinny and clearly had not received much attention. We couldn’t stand to see her in that condition, so we took her to the vet for her first vaccines and a worm treatment. We’re hopeful this will help her become healthier and stronger. To anyone visiting Mesari Cottage in the future, please show her love and care. She is so small, fragile, and just craves affection. If you can, feed her and keep her safe—she deserves it. This little puppy has so much love to give, and we hope she gets the life she deserves. Thank you to the amazing hosts at Mesari Cottage for everything, and for letting us be a part of her journey.

It was very clean and the bathroom was modern. Felt really comfortable there. The owner is really nice. The food took a while but was really delicious.

Maybe the location is not the best if you want to check out the most known beaches like KelangKelang or diamond beach. It took us an hour to get there by scooter.

The room looked beautiful & clean.The air-con, bed & towels was great, the view was absolutely worth it. The warung had great food & service. Breakfast was varied & delicious. Just a short walk down to other restaurants & resorts where you swim in pool. Wayan (manager?) Was very caring & attentive to your needs. Always helpful to show you around - like Diamond Beach, etc.

TV, internet Tele, etc, was not working & hadn't been for over a week, I was told, which was not expected, so couldnt catch up some movies, etc. Stayed 7 nights & still not working. An area along the bathroom wall (opposite toilet) appeared to have dirt streaks along the wall. Didnt day anything, but when room was cleaned mid-week, I noticed it still there. Felt sorry for the resident dogs, even though fed - really flea-bitten with yelps & many ticks in ears. I contacted "Paws" on Penida & sent piccies, but not sure if any further help. Very sad, as they have a beautiful nature!!

Probably one of the best places we have stayed over the 4 months we have been in SE Asia. Everything is very new and kept incredibly clean. The owner was super friendly and accommodating, recommending good places to visit on the island. The dogs were also adorable. The location was great too, tucked away from the hustle of the port and all the tourist crowds. If you are happy spending a bit more time getting to the islands attractions it is definitely worth it for such a serene and quiet place to stay. The owner also runs a restaurant next to the accommodation so you don't have go far for great food either.

We booked this property last minute . Wayan welcomed us and gave us lots of information about the island . Helped us as well with renting a scooter . Room was cleaned and shampoo and body wash are provided . Hot water it’s supplied.AC was strong .

Accomodation it’s quite far from the main attractions ,25 min away from the city and 1 hr from the famous TREX beach. The accomodation it’s cleaned but be mindful you are in the nature so you may find few bugs in the washroom and encounter cute geckos which do weird sounds at night . The main door was faulty ,difficult to be closed properly , maybe to be checked before another guests comes

Our experience at this seaside bungalow was absolutely fantastic. The sea view was a highlight and well worth the price we paid! Truly unbelievable value for money! Wayan treated us like family throughout our stay, ensuring we had everything we needed and more. The food was delicious and really hit the spot, and we couldn't get enough of the adorable dog on the property. Overall, it was a memorable and delightful stay, and we can't wait to return! It is the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in Bali, towels, sheets, bathrooms are clean, they are very kind, but also taught me to speak some Indonesian language, next time will come back to his home, recommend!!
