This property exceeded my expectations. It’s important to remember it’s a 2 star hotel so I was not fazed by the small hiccups/maintenance issues that I experienced. The rooms are spacious, and clean. The bed was super comfortable (pillows not so- would take my own next time). Staff are amazing and the view from the restaurant that is positioned absolute beach is incredible. The other guests were all so lovely and it all contributes to a lovely vibe. I found the rubbish in the beach off putting but loved watching the fisherman come in and out in their boats. Their children playing in the water was gorgeous too. This is a hotel I would return to if I just want to relax and destress.

Honestly nothing is a deal breaker. It is a little walk to the Main Street. Power went out a couple of times but was quickly fixed. Small maintenance issues like the the bolt to the bathroom door was stuck so you couldn’t close properly. The air con cord runs through your bathroom in an ugly manner with an inelegant hole. Didn’t really love the food at the restaurant. I found the curtains in the room insufficient making it too light for me to sleep but rectified by putting towel over the window - my brothers didn’t find it an issue.

The staff and young boy working in the restaurant were lovely. It was nice for the boy to practice his English . They organized a good scooter for us and a snorkeling trip to the blue lagoon which was awesome. The room was comfortable , the pillow was too thick but staff were quick to change it when I asked. They have umbrella available if its raining. The breakfast was good.

The male staff at reception could take a lesson in politeness/friendliness from the boy who works in the restaurant..we had mojitos which were terrible, they tasted like water, the staff topped them up with Rum, but they still tasted like water. ( I'd question what was in the bacardi bottle)..there was also a high step up to the toilet in our ensuite, which could catch you out.

I absolutely love there is NO television at this property. It was all about the view. The view was exceptional. Of all the places I’ve stayed the bed was the most comfortable. I slept very well here. The staff was EXCELLENT. Every need I had was met with kindness in a very efficient manner. If I wanted dinner at my room they delivered it. Everything was in walking distance. Shopping, yoga, massage, temple, etc. I will 100% return to Puri Oka!

I thought there was daily yoga. It was a short walk away on 3 days a week. My misunderstanding.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and varied. The hotel is small, clean and quiet, on the oceanfront with a small beach of its own. There is a lot to see and do in the area, either by taxi or by boat. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We wanted a quiet, comfortable hotel to allow us to do our own thing as a family, and this was perfect - no noisy guests or nightlife! Most other guests were Australian families.

Charming hotel in a great location. The property was much smaller & more compact than I was expecting. Very pretty gardens & lots of options to lounge overlooking the ocean. The room was large & tastefully decorated, the canopied bed was really comfortable. Kettle & fridge provided. Loved the view across the pool to the sea. Enjoyed dinner at the restaurant. The included breakfast was above average. Daily room cleaning. Friendly, engaging staff.

I would have liked another rubbish bin in the room, apart from the toilet bin. Another surface to put things on would've been helpful - the shelf with tea, coffee etc is really small. These are very minor things & didn't impact the enjoyment of my stay at all.

Lovely hotel right on beach front with tropical gardens. Great pool and restaurant directly overlooking the sea. We had adjoining rooms for family of 3 and were high quality and large. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Quality cheap massage available at hotel and can arrange snorkelling trip with local boat right off beach. Lots of different boats but we arranged through hotel and guy was great and also picked up rubbish from the beach!

Nothing much - all was good. Only comments were not much beach when tide is in. Candidasa is a small town with a few shops and restaurants along busy main road but lots of hotels and resorts in the quieter areas.

We love staying at the Puri Oka Right on the beach and the sounds of the waves at night are amazing The food cooked by the kitchen is always good and the girls smiles when you go to breakfast always make me smile. Our Grandson loved fishing with the fisherman that leaves from the beach near the restaurant in the morning Picture is of his catch!

It’s a bit far to walk to the Main Street when you are older but Wayan the driver will take you and wait for a small charge which is convenient

It was located on the beach, and the dining area faced the beach. It also had a swimming pool so you had options. There is an upstairs patio, which was nice to do morning yoga to greet the day. Ask reception for a yoga mat. Staff are very responsive and happy. The gardens are well kept, lush, and green. It was relaxing just to sit there and get visits from birds, butterflies, and dragonflies.

There's rising damp in room. Given the rain and humidity (January stay), if you are sensitive you need to be aware of this. Aircon on and leave door open can encourage circulation to make stay more pleasant.

Great location and value. Staff were lovely and helpful. Other guests were open to polite conversation and suggestions. Massage was wonderful. Snorkeling was very convenient, fun, and a good value. Some limitations in staff English, but any issues were minor and resolved by other staff and we were grateful since we do not speak Indonesian. Food was delicious and good value. The resort arranged a very good driver for our departure to Tama Tirta Gangga Palace and Gardens and Ubud.

One room had a foul smell from the shower floor person the 1st night which was resolved my staff the next morning.

Cosy place with lovely staff and the other occupants were lovely too. It was clean and the location being on the beach was great. We used the sauna and ice bath which was great. We had to cut our trip short unfortunately! Candidasa is quiet in terms of tourist so if you’re looking to get away from the chaos of Seminyak and want to relax by the ocean, this could be your place.

Limited food options in candidasa. It’s a quiet town for tourists and the shops and eateries is limited. The hotel kitchen staff were lovely and the options were good. We were on a tight budget and this was slightly above for us. But we did eat there one night and all of us were happy. There was also limited beach area as the tide feels like it’s always in. But the water its self was a beautiful temperature and I probably had the best swim in Bali.
