The breakfast was very good. The location of the restaurant beside the ocean was beautiful and energising.

Smokers being allowed to smoke in the eating areas. This is a common problem across Indonesia I understand. However we did frequent a cafe that did not allow smoking and they had no difficulty attracting lots of customers. Smokers are aware that their second hand smoke is dangerous and offensive to others. Eventually Bali will get the message that smoking drives families away (more income) and that providing safe smoke-free workplaces for their staff is a moral obligation.

We stayed at Alam Candi at the end of our honeymoon and my goodness were we blown away by not only the accommodation and facilities but by the incredible staff. The attention to detail was incredible and the level of hospitality unpresidented, to the point where we will now forever compare future establishments to them. We doubt we will ever be so impressed, so much so that we now use the term 'But are they Alam Candi level hospitable ?'. This compliment isn't given lightly as we have travelled around the world and stayed at 5 star establishments. The photos do not do the place justice, it is even more lovely in real life, you will simply have to go and see it for yourself to believe it. It is the epitome of 'value for money ' and more. We will forever be grateful to the wonderful staff for making our stay truly magical. Fantastic location right next to the sea. The staff were very helpful and the gardens shady and tranquil. It would be perfect if the sand had not been removed to another area in Bali and the beach totally decimated! Apparently there are plans to restore the sand in a few years! However, the pool is lovely.

It was difficult to access the sea from the hotel except at low tide. Therefore you have to hire a driver to get to beach locations! Candidasa beach does not really exist due to the erosion of the sand.

The resort is absolutely beautiful. The staff are extremely friendly. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. You can snorkel right in front of the restaurant. The food is also very good!

Nothing! It was our favourite place on our trip. A few of the staff there are trainees. They are the loveliest people so be patient if things are not perfect.

Location, small number of rooms. Friendlly Service from staff. Gentleman on reception at the time had no hesitation in taking me on his scooter to the doctor when I required it which I appreciated.

In no way a criticism, however perhaps breakfast to be included in room rate which is common in comparable properties in Candidasa.

The calm ambiance stepping into the property. Alam Candi is so peaceful, spotlessly clean and the staff so very friendly. We love the location and particularly the interaction we get with local fishermen each morning having coffee as they return with their catch. From sea to Alam Candi kitchen and local families gathering and trading, in front of us daily

Not so much a dislike as positives far far outweigh any negatives. The dining prices are somewhat elevated and cost not in alignment with other venues. However context, still cheap to dine compared with Australian prices.

Quiet - away from the main road. Individual rooms/cottages were private. Fantastic pool and views from the restaurant.

Restaurant prices were up there - we mostly ate out from a good range of cafes and warungs. The music being played in the dining area drove us crazy! They had elevator style piano music playing, which is fine most of the time, but the same tracks played on rotation from 7.00am to 10.00pm was a bit much and unfortunately we could hear it from our room… there was no escape! We mentioned it to the manager so they may or may not take our comments onboard…

Our stay at this resort was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The staff was truly amazing – warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The food at the restaurant was outstanding, with a great variety and consistently high quality. The price-performance ratio was excellent – we felt we got incredible value for the money. Our room was spotless and cleaned thoroughly every single day, which made our stay even more comfortable and relaxing. We genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’re already looking forward to coming back – this won’t be our last visit! Highly recommended.

Definitely the best hotel that I stayed at in Bali! I had such a welcoming and great 2 night stay at Alam Candi. The gentleman that checked me in and all the staff were outstanding! They showed me everything in the room, and had information leaflets about local things to do, it is a really organised place. I had a snack at the hotel restaurant one night and juice, and the sunset was incredible! There is a pool beside the restaurant. I also hired a scooter to go to Virgin Beach and the staff arranged it for me. The room is beautifully decorated with wood and stone, I would definitely stay here again, it is a great location with restaurants and shops on your door step.

The Alam Candi Resort is a unique 14 room boutique resort. From the moment you walk in you know you have walked into something special. The staff are professional, polite & friendly. There are in-house beauticians for massages & your beauty needs. The restaurant 'Casa by the Sea' is an exceptional dinning experience which sits right next to the ocean. The food is a gastronomical experience, delicious & fresh. We loved it so much we booked another night and cannot wait to visit again in the near future. I'll be giving it an 11 out of 10!!!!
