i loved the pool!!! it was a little shady in the arvo. but was still good for a few laps in the evening. The room was spacious and had kettle and fridge. The gardens were spacious and we were treated to a strength show as the talented locals climbed up the trees to collect coconuts and trim the branches. Fresh picked coconuts $1 each :) beautiful view of the lotus garden from the restaurant in the morning- a lovely surprise! clase to money exchanges,, shops for gifts, clothes, wine, restaurants,basic groceries

The only wine at the house restaurant was Rose- unfortunately not to our taste.

We booked a family room at Forty Eight Resort, and it truly lived up to the name! The space was quite large and even came with a small private pool, a fully equipped kitchen (with utensils, gas, and microwave), and its own private compound within the resort — which made it feel both peaceful and secure. The open-air bathroom was an unexpected surprise 😂 but since there are no buildings or cameras overlooking it, it felt private and turned out to be a unique and enjoyable experience. Everything was well maintained, including the bathroom. The resort is located beside a scenic little pond with a walking track around it — perfect for a stroll. There’s also a small, quiet beach nearby where you can relax in the water, usually with just a few locals around. All in all, a wonderful stay — I only wish I could’ve stayed longer!

The door locks seemed a bit worn out, though it didn’t really affect our sense of safety, as the place felt very secure. Also, the hot water was only mildly warm — which might be a downside for some guests.

We stayed a the villa with private pool and it was tranquil, clean, beds were comfortable and the decor is beautiful.

The access to the “beach” is for boats so it was disappointing, the fridge and bathroom basin need an upgrade.

Nothing to criticise, be aware that this property is at one end of Candidasa. Not central. Opposite Vincent’s restaurant which is terrific.

We had the private villa, the pool was lovely, it had nice gardens and the restaurant food was great.

The Villa wasn't as clean as I had hoped, had to clean the microwave myself, but staff were onto it as soon as I mentioned it, the location ( or Candidasa in general) wasn't what I expected, the main road was chaotic, definitely not child or pram friendly! But inside the resort was peaceful, only small, beach not good for swimming or walking on.

Loved the facilities . The pool was fab! Spent everyday in the pool, even to cool down at night. Very quiet place right beside the lotus lagoon which is beautiful. We received a welcome drink on arrival - nice touch, and cold towels. Wiwid is fantastic, always a friendly smile!

I would recommend to have ceiling fans in the room aswell as Aircon for an option. Sometimes the Aircon is not good for your health. And I didn't feel too good after staying - respiratory problems. I would recommend a deep clean on facilities also.

Nice receiption by friendly staff. We found a silent place as there were nearly no other guests at that day with little parking in front. Little hidden local beach beside and a nice pool and well kept green around. Dedicated recommendation! We can suggest the good restaurant with the also helpful and friendly staff. Thank you very much for the wine glasses and the wine bottle opener to celebrate our last night at Bali at the room!

The room/cottage we had was good equipped and clean, but partially worn. All sliding doors (double at entry and single to bath room) and need repair/adjustment. Entry doors nearly impossible to close by issues/blockings with the top rails. All dors no/lost guiding on the bottom. No water pressure on sink tap and toilet.

The location was fantastic. Our private pool Villa was very large and comfortable and had just about everything you need for a pleasant stay - with the exception of wine glasses. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the semi-outdoor bathroom was huge. The hot water was pretty good by Bali standards. The pool was excellent and the bean-bag style pool loungers were so comfortable.

The Villa itself seems quite old so there were a few gaps around the doors that allowed a progression of bugs to wander in and out at leisure but they did no harm as they went about their explorations. We managed to assist them to head back outside with a push and a prod. The wifi was interesting - there seemed to be a choice of 3 or 4 that we could use and the strength seemed to vary from moment to moment, and sometimes disappearing completely. But mostly it was adequate.

Friendly staff. Restaurant on site. Easy to get around. Shops close by. Good value for money. Size of the room is good for the price. AC is cold.

The trade-off for the cheaper price is the proximity to a nice beach. Further west the beach is nicer, but the prices increase. Room 5 doesn't get a lot of sun, so drying clothes isn't easy. There are laundry shops close by. Bring your own power adaptor.

The property was great. We loved it. If the rest of the family came we would have had the place to ourselves. It is small and quaint. Very quiet and the feel of the place is amazing. It has that real Bali feel. With beautiful gardens. 6 small bungalows. One family bungalow and one private pool villa. I booked family and 2 other bungalows. It was perfect. Staff weren’t in your face. But not hard to find if you had any questions or problems. Don’t expect everything you get in chain hotels. But perfect for for relaxation.

Nothing. The only thing I would note is family room. Main bedroom is air conditioned. But the other room was not and it got quite hot in there.
