We’re truly happy we chose to stay at Kuri Garden Cottage. The location was excellent – right in the middle between the east and west coasts of the island, which was ideal since we wanted to explore both sides. It’s just a 5-minute drive from the harbor, and only steps away is a great spot called The Chill, which we enjoyed every single day. But what really made our stay special was the outstanding service and care. Putu and his team are absolutely incredible – so kind, warm-hearted, and genuine that it’s hard to believe such hospitality is real. We felt so welcome and comfortable, like staying with good friends. Putu personally planned and organized all three days of our stay in great detail: – One day we explored the eastern side of the island, – the next day he arranged a fantastic snorkeling trip with giant manta rays, – and the last day we visited the western coast. They also have their own private driver, who was always friendly, helpful, and right on time. We’re so grateful we discovered this place – and we’ll definitely return on our next visit to Nusa Penida. ❤️

The accommodation was great, and the service was exceptional. There’s a clean pool and friendly, helpful staff who can arrange trips or assist whenever needed. You can even rent a motorcycle, which is a big plus for getting around. Breakfast is also a nice touch – you order it the day before, and it’s ready at your preferred time. One especially helpful feature was the availability of drinkable water you could refill your bottles with. The shower was spacious and modern, which we really appreciated.

The rooms could use a bit of renovation or a light touch-up, but overall everything was fine. The location is a bit further from the main eastern and western sights, but the peaceful and quiet surroundings more than made up for it. The water from the shower and taps is slightly salty – as is common on Nusa Penida due to local water issues – but it didn’t bother us.

Staying at this place was an absolutely exceptional experience! The host deserves the highest praise — from the very first moment, we felt we were in good hands. Helpful, kind, and truly passionate about what they do — it was clear that this was not just a job, but a genuine care for the guests' comfort. The service was warm and welcoming, making us feel completely at home. Every morning started with delicious breakfasts. The property met all our expectations — it was clean, cozy, and truly comfortable. You can tell this place is run with heart. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking not just for accommodation, but for a real home-away-from-home atmosphere! Greetings!

Putu, the manager on site, is very friendly and does his best to make your stay as comfortable as possible The room was spacious with a fridge and everything you need, AC worked well, bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was big and comes with a hairdryer Breakfast with many options, always delicious and more than sufficient Scooter for rent for a very good price (80.000 IDR) Pool area was a bonus with everything you need Staff is very friendly Pool towels are also available Everything can be organised by Putu, you just have to ask him We really had a good time and extended our stay for 2 more nights

This didn't bother us at all, but I will mention it: The shower only had little warm water, we travelled a lot of islands in the past and are used to it, it's warm throughout the day, so we don't need a hot shower The bungalows are not located in the main part of the island, which we actually liked, but has a lot of food options nearby which are probably a bit less expensive than in the center. It's also perfectly located for sightseeing or just going around the island with a scooter. If you like it more quiet, this is the perfect place.

Putu is a very good host and makes sure you have the best time on the island. I could rent a scooter, book a transfer from the harbor and even leave one of my bags with him while I was exploring other parts of Nusa Penida. The comminication via WhatsApp was great, so I could let them know when and what I want for breakfast. Overall very lovely staff, beautiful property and good location to start or end your trip on Nusa Penida. Thank you for hosting me!

First of all, I had reserved another place nearby, and I didn't even spend a single night there because there was a strong smell of mold, and there were roaches. This means I ended up making this booking last minute at about 8pm the night of check in. It was close enough to my original place, so I walked over with some bags. Putu and his staff hurried to have the room ready by the time I got there, and then brought me back to the original guesthouse on his motorbike to help me with my suitcase and other bag. I was so relieved when I entered the room that was so clean, beautiful, spacious, well-equipped, and nice-smelling! It was like night and day compared to my first place, so I was glad I chose to make the change. It was raining a lot, so it was important to feel comfy inside my room, and I was very comfortable there! The staff who made and served the DELICIOUS breakfast were so thoughtful, caring, and sweet! You have breakfast in the garden by the beautiful pool, and when it rained, they brought it to our rooms for us! The best part was that Putu was a fabulous guide to make sure his guests have the best possible experience while on the beautiful island. He connected me with best possible snorkeling experience, so I was able to see 6 big beautiful manta ray! He even helped with rides anytime he saw me walking alone on a road on his way somewhere as I am a solo traveler. He gave me great information about life on the island, and made me feel like family! I ended up staying longer than expected just because of how much a great experience this guest house made my stay! I highly recommend them!

We had an amazing stay at Kuri Garden Cottage! The room was beautiful, cozy, and came with a lovely terrace. The real highlight, however, was the hospitality of the owners – they were incredibly kind, helpful, and went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Their warmth and attentiveness truly set them apart, making the experience second to none. They rented us scooters at a very good price, which made exploring the area so convenient. On top of that, they even provided free transport to Sampalan Port for our trip to Gili Trawangan. Their generosity and attention to detail made our stay unforgettable. Highly recommend! Beautiful quiet & relaxing Villa with lovely pool and all the amenities. Good location- close to lots of nice restaurants & beach bars. Scooters are available to rent at the property & transfers from the ports etc. Putu and his family went absolutely above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing stay and were very accommodating, friendly and courteous. The free breakfast was delicious with lots of options! We tried the nasi goreng, mi goreng, eggs & toast, and banana pancakes, all were delicious. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back and recommend to our friends and family! Terimakasih!

Everything was fantastic

As many other reviews point out, Putu is a top notch guy. So helpful and kind. Truly loves the island and its people. Doesn’t use single use plastic too! He went above and beyond for us so many times during our short stay. Never had a host this good. Feels more like staying with a mate than a stranger. All rooms have thoughtful little touches, shower was great, rooms super clean and quiet. If you’re tossing up between spending a night in Nusa Penida or doing a day trip. Come and spend a few days here. Support the local business and economy and get to know amazing people like Putu
