The room decor is beautiful, the beds are comfortable and everything was very clean. We appreciated the details like guest water bottles and had a very delicious breakfast every morning. Fiqi, one of the main hotel staff, was very helpful with our requests and pleasant to engage with. We enjoyed staying in this quieter part of Nusa Penida where you are in a more local neighbourhood with one of the most delicious bakery’s nearby - highly recommend.

We seemed to have a recurring issue of hot water availability. Fiqi persistently tried to resolve this by switching the gas canister and from there we had warmer water. It was a bit of a disappointment not to have ready available hot water given the bathroom is outside and makes washing for me personally more comfortable. We had a mini fridge that I believe wasn’t plugged in therefore we did not utilise it - we did not speak up about this so I’m sure that is something they’d happily resolve.

Super cute villa and exceptional customer service. Staff always checked in on us to make sure we had what we needed and were having a good time. They also set us up with a scooter, recommendations, and ferry’s to continue our trip. Great pool and yummy breakfast!!

Outdoor bathroom was super cute but the heat, humidity, bugs, and other critters were not ideal. (No fault of staff. That is expected this time of year. Just be prepared for unexpected bathroom friends) it was still an amazing place to stay. Very close to everything. Would definitely recommend.

A Slice of Paradise at Kompyang Cottage! Staying at Kompyang Cottage was an absolute dream! From start to finish, everything about this place exceeded my expectations. The breakfast was so generous and delicious—plenty of options, fresh ingredients, and the perfect way to start each day. The pool was simply amazing, surrounded by lush greenery and offering a serene escape. The service? Exceptional. The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to assist, making the stay even more special. The room was incredible—spacious, beautifully designed, and full of thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. And the outdoor bathroom? WOW! Such a unique and luxurious experience, showering under the open sky. I can’t recommend Kompyang Cottage enough for anyone looking for a relaxing, high-quality stay. It’s a little piece of paradise, and I can’t wait to return!

Everything was perfect

Amazing accomodation! Cabins were mostly quiet and there were long periods of time when we had the pool to ourselves. Loved the outdoor bathroom, never had any issues with the water pressure/temperature. Breakfast was served at our time requested every morning and it was a decent amount of food and always delicious. Place is a little far out from attractions but renting a bike/hiring a driver was always easy. Big thank you to Piping, Fiki, Aryo and Madi for making our stay so awesome!

Excellent villas. Very attentive and friendly staff. The facilities are very comfortable and complete. The bathroom is very nice, very spacious and open. The breakfast, included, very complete, with three options to choose from. The atmosphere of the swimming pool is also very pleasant. In the hotel you can rent the bikes very easy, they don't ask you for any document and you don't have to sign anything, it's very easy. And to move around the island it is ideal to have a motorcycle. They pick you up at the port for free and bring you back on the final day.

Nothing serious: The air conditioning in our room did not cool much. Maybe it needs some maintenance.

Our stay at Kompyang was exceptional. The staff are amazing and really go above and beyond, they are all so friendly. The breakfast every morning was amazing, a choice of either Indonesian or American. They do THE BEST lime ice tea which I will miss having everyday. The location is great, it’s just off the main road so the accommodation is quiet but walking distance (approx 15/20 mins tops) to local Warungs. You can rent scooters direct from the accommodation. It’s very relaxed they basically chuck you the keys and you crack on. They also arrange any day trips you wish to do and provide transport to and from the ports. The accommodation is quiet with a nice pool, upon arrival you get a welcome drink and a cold towel which was a nice touch. They are super chilled and basically you just pay for everything (scooters, drinks, day trips etc) at the end. They even sorted some laundry for us.

This is not the fault of the property at all, but unfortunately the time we stayed there is a building site next door which is quite noisy during the day and for some reason they lit a bonfire every afternoon which stunk. Otherwise, there was nothing we didn’t like. Everything was great.

The staff were incredibly helpful, cheerful, and genuinely friendly. They responded to all our requests right away and did their best to assist us. Breakfast was delicious, always served on time, and exactly as we had hoped — with a wide variety of options to choose from. Our room was beautiful, and the view of the garden and pool created the perfect setting for our honeymoon. We left feeling truly happy and satisfied.

The cottages were adorable & the landscaping was impeccable. Loved the included breakfast each morning & how they delivered it to eat on our porch. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The staff was outstanding and went out of their way to be of assistance to us. They helped arrange our complimentary pickup and drop off at the port, as well as book a driver to go to dinners. They have a restaurant not far away (Singabu) that they provide a free shuttle to, and we loved it! The pool was delightful to come home to after a hot day sightseeing. While there is no restaurant on site, they were able to bring us drinks by the pool, which was just perfect!

These are all smallish details, but I felt important to note so that future guests can be better prepared for their visit. The walls are paper thin. You can hear every cough, talking, etc. Our air conditioner didn’t get cold enough for us. It was set on 18 degrees but it never got that cold. I wish it was more walkable to restaurants, but the road felt too dangerous to navigate in the dark. While the outdoor bathrooms are very charming, it probably wasn’t so enjoyable being our neighbor, as you could hear the sound effects of Bali Belly. The hair dryer was very weak and it took forever for my hair to be dried.
