Bali style bathroom. Cabana has a good size, and the breakfast was good also. A la carte style, you have to choose want do you want to eat for breakfast the night before. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Location was not ideal. The best beach clubs and restaurants are not in a walk distance. You need a taxi or scooter. Noise was not good as well. I could hear scooters passing by at night, and there was a dog barking a lot every day at 3:00am.

In general the location was really nice. We had nice breakfast, the pancakes were amazing and the staff was very helpful.

The sorroundsdings were not as good as hoped for. So best be prpared to get Scooter and drive around the island. Something to mention is that the bathroom gets very hot during the day since the sun shines directly onto the toilet. Not very pleasant if you go to the bathroom from your climatised room.

Location & Staff were amazing, very accomodating and would do anything to make your stay comfortable. The bathrooms in 5 of the cottages needed a little bit of love but didn’t dwell on our overall stay. Would recommend The Box Paradise Cottage to anyone looking for very reasonable priced accommodation in Penida.

Everything was really great. The cute bungalows were clean and we loved the open bathroom, even if we were a bit scared of crawling animals :D The pool looked nice and clean. Also, the staff was amazing, very helpful and nice. I felt a bit sick at one point of my stay and Dega helped so much to get medicine and food. 100% recommend the stay!

The cottages are spacious, VERY clean and the bath room is amazing. It’s around 15 minutes drive to the main restaurants/bars, but we were able to rent a very good (125cc) scooter that worked perfectly. If you book your ferry, we highly recommend to take the one Sampalan ferry, so you can walk in less than 15 minutes. The staff was really friendly and although their English was not their native language, they always tried to help where possible. We read negative comments around the WiFi but it worked perfectly fine for us.

Given that these are wooden cottages, we highly recommend to bring earplugs. There was also a party in the street, which should be part of normal way of living, but you hear a bit more due to the wooden cottage!

easy access to the less crowded sampalan harbour and also plenty of food options around. staff were helpful with organising an immediate scooter rental for me and my partner. there was also excellent communication with staff and it was a comfortable stay. the staff even went out of their way to send us my scooter to the harbour saving us taxi money and booked our ferry back for us.

there was no noise cancellation and we could hear the phone conversations and everytime they went to the bathroom next door as the rooms are really close to each other. the bathrooms are also outdoors and there was algae in the shower rock, which might be a slip hazard but ok if you wore thongs in the shower. mosquito net was good but maybe extra repellent would be nice!

Rooms are exactly as in the photos. Great thanks to the staffs for maintaining the property clean and tidy. Most favourite parts of our stay are the open bathroom and the pool. Reception staff are friendly and very helpful, they arranged for snorkeling tour, motor bike hire and ferrie at a affordable price. Overall, we have enjoyed our stay at fullest. I would highly recommend this place.

Very minor issue, shower wasn't working properly. Some pores were clogged. Other than that everything was perfect .

The cottage was very nice and comfortable, the little pool was lovely and relaxing. It's just nothing to see around,so set your mind just for the pool😁

It's a lovely little villa and I loved the hospitality of the staff. Nice added touch with the private outdoor bathrooms for each room! Was also very easy to organise a motorbike for travel plus taxis from the port.

The breakfast was amazing. The staff was really friendly. We stayed here for two nights on our honeymoon and they really went the extra mile to decorate our room with flowers and balloons. It was special.

It's far from the main attractions. The rocks in the barthroom/shower is super nice, but gives off a bit of a smell when they get wet during a shower.
