The accommodation itself is great. The whole place is really pretty and the rooms have working AC. The hosts are just the sweetest family. Every time we came back from a trip, we were asked if we wanted coffee, tea, or anything else. The breakfast was lovely too.

The only downside of this place is its location. It is far from everything, and the beach is not really great for swimming – it’s possible to swim in the morning, but in the afternoon there is a strong low tide. This is not really an issue if you rent a scooter. The roads in Nusa Penida are kind of dangerous – holes, narrow streets, steep hills, etc. So it is better if you are not a total beginner, as we are. We did not rent one, as we were advised by the host not to do so, but she helped us arrange all the trips and drivers we needed.

This was truly one of the most welcoming places we’ve ever stayed. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful — we’ve never felt such genuine hospitality before. You can buy water and beer on-site, and even though the beer had run out when we wanted one, they went out and got some for us while we were out for dinner. That level of thoughtfulness was amazing. Breakfast was delicious every morning, freshly prepared with a choice of sweet or savory dishes, served with mineral water, coffee or tea, and a lovely fruit platter. Our room and bathroom were spacious, spotlessly clean, and decorated with fresh flowers — cleaning was done daily. The little inner garden is charming, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly and fast at all times. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, and the location is great as a base for both east and west side tours. It’s also close to the harbor. We even received welcome and goodbye water — a small but thoughtful touch. Highly recommended!

The service was excellent. Room was decent but super clean. Entire place is right next to the sea. It is not that big but its really well maintained and beautiful. Breakfast was tasty and filling. Staff was really helpful in guiding us how to reach the location and also suggested us how to plan our trip. They gave really good recommendations for places to visit and eat. I would suggest talking to the hotel staff after you book this place on how to reach there and which boat to take and which port to reach. The location is right next to Sampolan Port and you have a small market, fuel pump, money exchange restaurants, etc nearby. In all if you find this get this place for a decent price go ahead and book it! It was absolutely value for money for me. If the price is little higher I would say it is still worth it bcz of the location and amenities.

Oh my goodness, the family that runs this place are the most wonderful people I met on my whole trip in Bali. They made my stay so comfortable and were so kind that I extended my time in Nusa Penida. The room is spacious and cleaned every day with fresh towels. Comfy bed. Hot shower. When they noticed I'd bought water from the shop, they left 2 bottles in my room every day. When I got caught out in a storm one night, they messaged me to check I was ok, then came to collect me on their scooter so I didn't have to walk home. Every day when I get back in the afternoon, they make me hot tea to welcome me back. The breakfast (esp. nasi goreng) is so delicious and brought to you on your veranda. There's a fantastic beach club 5 min walk away (The Chill, Penida) that has the best food in the neighbourhood and free daybeds and infinity pool. I loved staying here and I'd come back in a heartbeat.

The wifi drops out sometimes (not an issue unless you're trying to do zoom calls for work!) The restaurant next door (Penida Cantina) was pretty bad food, so I'd go the The Chill or other places.

Our room being the closest to the beach was spot on! It was so great falling asleep to the sound of waves and waking up naturally to the sun lighting up the room. Our week in Nusa Penida had a great foundation at the Swan Beach Inn thanks to the location, the very kind staff and the breakfasts. We were treated with a choice of drink in the afternoons when coming home, which we felt being a nice touch. 🤩

The WiFi wasn’t the best, but just enough and sufficient. But don’t plan to do heavy internet usage there.

I am absolutely thrilled with the owners and staff of Swan Beach Inn – they are some of the kindest, most welcoming, and genuinely caring people I have ever met! Their warmth and hospitality made my stay truly special. The location is simply perfect – peaceful and quiet, right by the ocean. Falling asleep to the soothing sound of the waves was an unforgettable experience. My room was spotless and beautifully decorated with such a cozy touch. Everything felt so inviting and comfortable. Unfortunately, I only had time to stay for one night, but I definitely want to come back! The breakfast was absolutely delicious, made with love, and the entire atmosphere of the place was just magical. Highly recommend this little paradise!

I liked it all

I rarely write reviews but this hotel truly deserves one. Upon arrival we were immediately greeted with warmth and kindness by the family that owned the hotel, who helped us in so many more ways than we could have ever asked for. Our family of 4 (traveling with 2 kids) stayed in 2 of their villas for one night, a double and twin villa, both very clean with towels, water, and air conditioning. The location was also great, on the beach with a nice view and near restaurants and small shops. Later that day, we wanted to rent scooters for a couple hours through the hotel, though we didn’t have a lot of experience driving in Bali before. The owners were incredibly accommodating and sweet and helped us find other ways to get around the island without having to worry about potential incidents. The breakfast the following morning was delicious, and they were able to bring it early in the morning before we left. I would 100% recommend this hotel if you are looking for a great family owned place that has everything you will need as well as some of the most humble people you will ever meet.

All the rooms had a view, which was of the beach out front. The view was lovely, the rooms were great and the owners were lovely too, and very accomodating. The beach wasn't the best around as it would have been difficult to swim while the tide was out, but it was a nice view nonetheless. It was really nice to have breakfast while enjoying that view. The villa itself was a ways outside of town. We had rented a scooter in town so had no problem getting there, but it was a 25 minute drive.

The AC in the twin room wasn't very powerful, though it was fine in the double room we were in (we stayed in 2 different rooms).

It was such a lovely stay. A beautiful family ran these bungalows, and they were soooo lovely to me. They were always there to great me with a smile and a bottle of water or Bali coffee when I came back to my room, so genuinely kind and caring. The sound of the ocean drifted me off to sleep every night. It was pure bliss. The location is pretty central to things, and I did a snorkelling trip to Manta bay and struck gold, I swam with the Manta's! I saw a beautiful sunset every morning from just opening up my door. I would definitely recommend it, and I will come back on my next visit to Nusa Penida!

The scooter rides to the beaches was quite scary! Nothing to do with Swan beach Inn though. :)

This was a great little villa in very authentic style. It's simple and clean and the family that run it are just lovely people and very helpful. It's quiet and absolute beachfront so the sound of the ocean makes for a great sleep. It's not really a swimming beach ( though we did) but there's heaps of local outrigger fishing boats moored in the shallows just off the beach which looks cool and it's fun to watch them coming and going. There's a lovely breeze so sitting on the verandah looking out to sea was great. There's a few quite good restaurants nearby. We would definitely stay there again.
