The hotel bungalows and grounds are beautifully set amongst a water garden. The verandas extend over lily ponds filled with Koi Carp. The grounds extend well back away from the road and are quiet and peaceful. The staff are friendly, the food is delicious and the owner is very attentive. The pool area is very pleasant.

The busy, noisy and dusty road is extremely intrusive once you leave the hotel. The beach that once existed has been washed away due to destruction of the natural breakwater, allegedly in the early building rush. Bemos no longer stop there and we were told there are only two buses per day so you need taxis or car to get around.

Unique cabins with individual water pond in front filled with large goldfish that can be viewed from large verandah. lovely gardens which provide good privacy . Lovely pool which I pretty much had to myself . Swiss breakfast of coffee fruit salad museli with yogurt and toast and jam was more than adequate for $7.50 AUD. Staff are friendly and Sudi was especially helpful even providing me with fish food to feed the fish . I have stayed here 4 times over the last 10 years and always enjoy my stay.

I suggest a cabin at the back as sometimes the traffic noise can disturb at night .

I was met upon my arrival by the hotel manager Putu who gave me my welcome drink and showed me to my bungalow explaining how everything worked and asked if I had any questions, well done. The next morning she once again asked if I had any concerns with my accommodation, which I didn’t. The breakfast was exactly as I requested, which to me meant that the staff listened and passed on my request to the chef, if the staff didn’t understand they would ask for clarification and make sure they got it correct 👍. My accommodation (bungalow 5) was spotless and everything in it was in excellent condition, the bed was very comfortable and I actually had good sleep, as I said everything was great right down to the quality toilet paper used by the resort. The restaurant was good value and very good quality food, also very clean and well maintained. All the staff were happy and always said hello to me as I was moving around the resort, from the gardener right up, loved the interaction. The grounds and pool, very well maintained, including the fish ponds around the bungalows. I will be back, and recommending this resort to anyone who asks. From the moment I arrived, I felt comfortable and relaxed knowing that if I had any questions or problems Putu and her staff would do everything possible to help. Well done

This is a nitpick, the shower floor can be a little slippery after having a massage, this could be overcome by a shower mat for the floor

Lovely, friendly staff. Excellent Spa massages. Lovely rooms overlooking ponds. Close to restaurants and shops.

Wow wow wow this place is just so beautiful, it has koi fish swimming around in pond just outside your room and the beautiful manager Sudi gives you food to feed them everyday! The location is just perfect and the food is amazing!!!! All of the staff are just so nice and helpful and always smiling making my trip just so special!! Extra shout out to Sudi the manager who goes above and beyond at all times, whenever I needed anything she was always present with a beautiful smile and so very helpful 😀

The Waregarden Hotel is totally charming. The rooms are an oasis of calm. We were delighted to be able to feed the fisk and watch the beautiful butterflies and birdlife abounding in this established garden. You feel like you are in the middle of the jungle, yet the busy town of Candidasa is on your doorstep. The staff are excellent. The reception staff happily assisted us to make arrangements for an outing and onward travel. Thanks for an excellent stay.

Could be a little noisy in the morning with frogs and roosters and dogs. But it was also a cool part of the experience

We first started in the room with the private pool - the pool wasn’t as clean as it could have been. Changed to a double room with the garden which was much nicer

Staff were awesome! Very very friendly and accommodating.

Mold smell in first room. Staff kindly moved me to a different room when another was available after 2 nights.

I loved the beauty of the gardens and the friendliness of the staff
