Nice location and very well laid out with privacy and spacious accommodations. Staff was excellent, very welcoming and friendly.

Slightly old property so maintenance needs to be spruced up. The swimming pool is a bit small plus, should have a shade covering it to ensure residents can use anytime (since during afternoons it gets very sunny).

Friendly staff, lovely rooms and food was yummy. Spa services were very good and we thoroughly enjoyed

The Hotel wouldn't offer a reimbursement for 2 days where our flight was cancelled. Approx $1800 AUD. Travel insurance wouldn't cover it for everyone as it was in my name only and they would only cover 1 person. We paid extra to get to the hotel for 2 days only and it was very dissapointing. Many hotels would have offered a reimbursement as goodwill and to ensure returning customers.

Lovely quiet location. Stunning ocean/ island views and cosy small private beach. Stylish cottage with all amenities. Great restaurant on site (where they also organise themed dinners). Spa is recommended too. Housekeeping, reception and the restaurant staff are all amazing: professional, proactive, friendly and caring. Matur suksma! :)

We booked a snorkelling trip with the hotel but reception asked for more than it was stated in the room's folder, they said they had a new contract with a fisherman. The boat was quite dated and we felt the trip was overpriced (too short, crowded spot).

Everything was amazing, clean, warm greedings, very polite staff, delicious food and silence.

Although we expected to encounter insects and share the space with the geckos we found in the first floor dormitory a black scorpion, which has not been a harmful encounter, it could have definitely been if the little creature managed to get in a shoe or in the bed. A better management of repelents and insecticides would be helpful

Excellent hotel at a great location with super service. We stayed in one of the villa,s with private pool, right on the beach. The resort has great amenities with an excellent restaurant (with many local Balinese options), pool and spa. All tcustom made rips and excursions line snorkelling, diving and hiking can we booked directly via the reception. Service at the Discovery is absolutely fabulous. I never met nice people always willing to help you and provide world class service.

Nothing! Excellent hotel with super service

Clean and well looked after by the lovely staff. Like everywhere in Bali, the staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough for us. Villa was good size and our little pool was good size and nice to cool down in. Outside kitchen area good size too and really useful. Location was nice and swimming pool was clean.

Food was ok but nothing to shout about. We ate breakfast every day as it was included but ate in nearby restaurants for other meals. Beach area isn’t really a beach, but it is nice and when the tide is going out you can swim and snorkel.

Location, quiet, private beach, gardens, size of the villa (2 story villa with private pool), cleanliness (daily clean), very friendly staff. Close to mainstreet with a variety of restaurants, warungs, supermarkets, ATM's and bars. Very convenient electric scooters can be hired at the resort (A$2 per hour)

The villa allocated to us, we rejected because none of the bigger double story villas are surrounded by a wall and leave you very exposed to people walking past (also due to the very open ground floorplan) without any privacy. We opted for another villa which was positioned differently without the path right in front of the open living area. Also the main living area with kitchen and dining table did not have a tv and neither the bedrooms. There was just 1 tv upstairs in a livingroom.

The hotel grounds were great, spacious room, many little nooks and crannies to hide from the sun and all nicely spaced out. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff

Housekeeping at 8:30?? I've never experienced this, very early. Pillows were huge, quite uncomfortable. And worst part was the big red ants in the bathroom. I know its Bali, but still. We stayed in other hotels and they had none. Also smell of sewage in the bathroom

A lovely property, right on the beach. Our enormous villa had amazing ocean views and was very well appointed. The master bath was almost large enough to have a table tennis match in! The inhouse restaurant is pretty much all you need if you want a meal or drink with a view of beautiful Candidasa at reasonable prices. I'd recommend the villa with private pool for familes and longer stays because that's how all the amenities are set up.
