The hotel is really well designed, feels modern and clean. The staff were always friendly and polite and when issues were raised they managed them as well as they could. The rooms are large and comfortable. We slept really well in the beds and as we had a swim up room we had easy access to the pool and loungers. The hotel is split across the road and the security staff help you cross either way. The beach bar has the most lovely vibes and we enjoyed sitting down there in the evening. Breakfast is included and really nice with lots of variety. Food in the restaurants is good although expensive compared to the general cost of food in Bali.

The hotel location is further way from restaurants and the more attractive beaches than we would have liked - 20mins walk to restaurants and a bus down to the beaches. The beach that the hotel is located on is dirty and there is lots of rubbish in the sea. It's a shame as we would usually enjoy swimming in the sea but it wasn't attractive with all the rubbish and pollution from the water sports boats. It would be good if the hotel actively cleaned the area as much as they could. There isn't a lot to do in the hotel. The water sports are all subsidised and to be honest not the best. We did snorkelling and it was the worst we have ever done - tiny area on a damaged reef and fish only came in because they gave us bread to feed them. There isn't any evening entertainment to watch or join in.

I had a great experience staying at The Sakala Resorr. I needed to find accommodation after a terrible experience with another property. The staff gave me a tour of the room to which I booked online immediately. They allowed me to check in a little early and even moved my room to a quieter location so I could work without disruption. Evan the quest services coordinator was absolutely amazing helped me to arrange activities and communicated with me even on his off day to make sure my stay was good as a solo traveler. I’d you’re looking for a nice quiet comfortable vacation this resort will suit all your needs.

There’s not much night life here compared to other areas like Seminyak. But the property makes up for that in many other ways.

The beautiful wishes written on the mirror/ and thoughtful decoration of our room took us by surprise and added magical touch to our special day. This level of service has certainly left a lasting impression on us. The buffet breakfast spread absolutely out of this world, everything was delicious!! you must try their local cuisine, bakso with indo-mee and nasi uduk. not only was the selection vast and delicious, but the option to order ice lattes, ice cappucino, ice choc was a delightful surprise!! It's rare to find such thoughtful touches at breakfast. we really enjoyed their big swimming pool, there are 2 types of pools in this hotel. one pool facing the ocean with beach club facilities and another one large pool connecting to the rooms. It was perfect spot to relax and unwind. not forgetting, i must compliment their kids club. it was well equipped, fun and safe, providing endless entertainment for my 4 years old daughter. Kudos to Tisha, she is really skilled at keeping my daughter engaged and entertained.

Loved the Breakfast and the ability to jump into the pool from our pool access room. I would encourage management to leave a pool towel in the room when guests arrive for all pool access rooms.

Being a Sports fanatic and Australian, providing a Television at 1 of the restaurants, Bars or beach side Cafe's would keep guests from leaving to neighboring Bars or restaurants. There are a number of Sports Bars in Nusa Dua that showed the AFL and NRL that I found guests visiting as there was nowhere to view any games on site at the Sakala. The other recommendation I have would be to offer more Happy hour specials to keep guests pool or beachside. As beautiful as the Sakala is, it's incredibly expensive to stay in the facility to eat and drink each night. More themed nights with Happy Hour drink and food specials would have kept our family of 6 dining at the Sakala more often than what we did.

The breakfast had a great selection to choose from and the food was of good quality. We enjoyed staying in the Pool Access Suite being able to step down our ladder straight into the pool. A quiet room was requested and it was followed through, with being located at the quieter end of the pool area. All staff of the Sakala Resort were extremely welcoming and friendly from arrival and check-out was a smooth process. We would stay at the resort again in the future should we return to Bali.

A nice resort, loved our super clean room. Air con was really good. Comfy bed and pillows. But sofa bed wasn’t as good. Tiur looked after us well and remembered my name. Always asked how are we doing and any plans for the day and see if she could help us. Breakfast buffet has good varieties that change everyday. Yummy carrot cake. Went to the spa and had the balinese massage plus revitalising facial. Puspa was one of the best masseuse! The facial products suited my sensitive skin. Kitchenette and microwave was a plus for us too. Not to forget the spacious bathroom and nice toiletries. Towels were thick and felt very clean. Im a bit fussy with toilet paper, wasn’t too keen with the ones provided. Had to buy our own from the nearby supermarket. But overall we loved our stay at Sakala

The beach wasn’t too private. Always had someone offering the water sports service. Too many boats around, therefore not sure if water is clean enough? But pools were awesome !

Got surprise with towel decoration for my birthday, so thank ful for all the staff in charge making my room. Their service are good and make me comfortable. I gof queit room even I arrive so late because of traffic from canggu area to tanjung benoa. I wanna stay again in the future.

The villa accommodation was fantastic with its own pool, ample room for four guests. Clean and staff were great.

The air-conditioning in the gym could do with some maintenance, as it seemingly didn’t cool.

We had an amazing time at The Sakala and the resort was better than what we expected. We actually liked the location is a quieter area of Bali away from the noise and the traffic we experienced in the busy part of the island where we stayed before. The hotel helped us to have that relaxation time we were looking for on our holiday and it has plenty of facilities to keep us busy, whether it was the pools or the spa. We also need to highlight the comfort of the rooms, not only for being super spacious and with a premium bed, but also because it was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The breakfast is very complete and the service is top-notch!

We are a family of 4, we stayed in 2 deluxe pool suites looking onto the pool and landscaped garden. The rooms were beautifully decorated in modern Bali style, with carvings, marble, hard wood floors, and mosaics in the shower. We picked this hotel because the suites were 2 separate rooms (two TVs and a separate lounge, with kitchen area) and large bathroom (separate shower, bath tub, and even a kitchen, total 65m2. There was a large balcony looking onto the pool. The main pool was enormous (60m? linked to another very large pool, with pool bars). The beach pool was an infinity pool looking on to grass, sand and sea, also with pool bars. The pool beds were large and cushioned. We enjoyed the breakfast everyday with excellent coffee, and a mix of Asian and Western breakfasts, juices, eggs made to order, noodle soup, fresh fruit, yogurts, European bread etc. The staff and management were always helpful and responsive and warm. There were 2 beaches, one better for swimming with a 4 minute free shuttle bus, the WiFi at this beach worked seamlessly. The main beach in front of the hotel was more for water sports (so many on offer, jet skis, banana boats, paragliding etc).

The 2 private beaches had a lot of algae and could have been cleaner. We cannot blame the hotel for the beaches, but these particular ones were not as beautiful as ones we have enjoyed,in for example Thailand. However, swimming was possible and there were no jelly fish at all, common on other Asian beaches. We did enjoy the beach almost every day of our stay, but swam mostly in the lovely swimming pools.
