The fact that we came here for a 3 week holiday and left wondering if we should move here. This place is like being at home. It's so relaxed and safe. PERFECT for the kids. Mario is a great host. He's super knowledgeable about Bali, never pushy, and just feels like a mate more than anything. He made a crepe for my son's one morning and it was the culinary highlight of the trip. The location is great; super secure and private and yet walkable to the supermarket and some bars and warungs. A $1.50 taxi to Sanur beach. Just great for everything.

There wasn't anything to not like. It was bloody great.

Beautiful oasis where you can get away from the chaos out on the streets. The pool is one of the nicest I’ve ever swam in and there are lovely comfortable sunbeds to relax on. Huge comfortable bed and really quiet aircon. I Can’t praise Shantitara enough. All the staff were lovely and the maid keeps the garden area lovely and clean . Nice array of animals wandering around too. Mario wasn’t there when we stayed but he left a more than competent stand in Sylvia who looked after us. Can’t wait to go back

It’s a bit of a walk from here to the main area, but that’s why we chose it. The walk is really interesting through small narrow alleyways where you can observe Balinese life.

Staying in the Bungalow was great, an oasis of calm and peace in Sanur. It was so relaxing! It is possible to use a fully equipped kitchen and Mario bakes a delicious bread which can be purchased on site. The accommodation is just a short drive from Sanur beach; easily reachable by Motortaxi. The bungalow was perfect for our family of 4. Thanks Mario!

It is not easy to walk to the beach. The traffic is crazy and there is barely any sidewalk. We initially had considered taking bikes which are available at the accommodation, but quickly dismissed it when we saw the traffic situation. We feel that it was still worth staying somewhat outside of where the action is and all the resorts are. It had a nice local flavour that we appreciated a lot...

If you go to Sanur this is definitely one of the best options. You will find a quiet and peacefull garden, a small pond, very nice pool, clean bungalows and a host there to help and make you feel welcomed. Mario's delicious home made bread for breakfast, the massage you can book at the villa and the small animals(rabbit, fish, pigeons, birds, turtle) made the stay perfect.

It's not so close to the beach so walking is possible not ideal but that can be an advantage because it's a quiet and genuine area and transport options are very cheap.

The pool in the middle of the garden is great, and the kids enjoyed playing in it and cooling off. The host decorated it really well. The host is super friendly and suggests things to do while in Sanur. The garden is very pretty. We had access to a well equipped kitchen with a fridge we could use. The property is very secure and is quite secluded but has good access to restaurants, supermarket and the beach is not too far to walk.

Away from the hustle and bustle of commercialised parts of Sanur Villa Shantitata Bungalows is a place to relax and inhale the energy of nature. A large, beautiful pool at the compound's centre is surrounded by tropical greenery with bungalows and little secluded dining and resting areas. There is a fish pond and two rabbits and birds busily making nests and chirping in the trees. From our porch, we see kids, some frolicking in the pool, others swinging on a little swing next to it while adults keep an eye on them, sitting on a sizeable swinging couch. Paradise for travellers of all ages! We, Australian seniors, are staying for two weeks.

Shantitara is beautiful, peaceful, full of greenery with 2 bunny rabbits, fishes, turtle, lovely swimming pool, great host MARIO 🏆 (he is such a helpful and great gentleman - always helpful). Spacious room with outdoor bathroom. Outdoor kitchen if you wish to cook your own basic food. Walking distance to supermarket, restaurant *Afterwork*, cafe, small fruit market, massage parlour. Mario serves breakfast and fresh homemade bread (extra charge). Shantitara is like a small piece of heaven away from the hustle and bustle of the crowded streets ❤️

Fabulous on all levels. A warm greeting from Mario was a perfect start to the stay. The property is a set of older style Balinese rooms which were large, cool and calm. It was extremely quiet and felt very peaceful. Having access to a kitchen as well as trying Mario's home baked sourdough was a joy. I cannot recommend Villa Shantitara highly enough, and although I do live in Sanur now, will be back if I ever need an escape to somewhere quiet and peaceful, and will recommend to visitors. Thanks so much.

Staying at this complex of bungalows was a great experience.We loved the lay out,privacy and intimacy in the same time.Mario put his soul in this place and nothing is too much,done straight away if you have any questions or concerns.So helpful and friendly.Best breakfast,if you like sourdough bread,made in the house by the man himself: delicious!Beds are super comfy,love the style and the pet bunnies are very cute.Thank you so much Mario,for your hospitality,100%🙏🏼🙏🏼

This place is just love ❤️ Our seventh hotel in Bali, everything is simply divine. A place where you want to dream. Wherever you look, there’s meaning in every detail, and every detail is beautiful. A huge pool with mirrored accents, shells at the bottom. Swings, rabbits on the territory, a turtle, very beautiful pigeons, fish. The bungalow has a lot of space, the bed is very comfortable. The host made breakfast for us and it was really good. He also helped with organizing surf lessons for my son. There are free bikes that are very useful. The beach is a 8 minutes drive. The massage was also really good. There is a kitchen and barbecue. Such a beautiful place, I want to come back again. 🙏 ❤️
