The location of the resort is great and the dive team is amazing - our dive guide Edi was the best, he looked after us really well and found lots of cool little critters during our dives. The staff are all really friendly and the rooms cleaned on request. The additional water dispenser provided for the last few days was much appreciated. The gardens are lovely and it was nice to relax on the front deck and enjoy the garden and ocean views or look at the birds.

The restaurant is functional but not a highlight, although there's lots of great places to eat nearby. They had a new sound system installed while we were there and were still getting used to the volume - sometimes it was nice ambient background noise, but other times too loud to have a conversation at breakfast or you could hear it in your cabin. I think they'll work it out as they get feedback.

We spent a very nice 59-day holiday in the ocean view hotel and dive resort in hotel room 214 with a view of the sea. Our room was very large, air-conditioned and well furnished. The bathroom could be renovated. The staff was very friendly and competent. We can only recommend the restaurant, the kitchen and the selectable menus. The menus are Asian, Balinese and Chinese due to the many Chinese guests, mostly young diving guests. The restaurant is about 50m from the sea and offers a wonderful view during your stay with the very large pool and palm trees in front of it. The garden hotel resort complex is like a tropical, super-kept park and is very quiet. Excellent! The two very large pools are very well maintained and serviced. The location of this hotel is stunning; definitely the pick of the dive resorts in Tulamben. It's right on the beach, there are gorgeous gardens for the kids to run in, and two different pools for swimming after a morning spent snorkeling or diving.

The steps are all very tall, which is a thing to be mindful of with small children. Our 6 year old took a tumble because the stairs were too big for him to get down safely. If you stay with kids, ask to be placed in the ground floor family rooms.

The location is superb, right on the beach. Food in general is pretty basic and it is disappointing they don't have a liquor licence to serve wines but luckily we knew beforehand and were able to bring our own. The staff are sensational, always very friendly and efficient. The dive shop crew were brilliant and very helpful with assisting us in and out of the water dealing with the rocks etc.

I think the rooms should have the large water dispensers for guests to refill their own water bottles, there is such wastage of plastic bottles which is unnecessary and should be discouraged. I also think that it could be mentioned on the website that if divers are bringing their own guides there will be a surcharge, as it is a little unfair that if divers come but don't use the services of the resort dive team, it disadvantages the resort.

excellent friendly helpful staff. after a big rain there were issues with the water pump, staff communicated often about the problem and were very helpful in moving us rooms. lovely pools and well kept grounds. good food in the restaurant and an excellent location

The grounds were well maintained and clean, pools were clean. Staff at the resort were exceptional, everyone said hello or good morning. Even when they were busy. The room I stayed in was huge and had a great view of the pool and gardens.

Room was a bit dirty. Corners of the ceiling had cobwebs and the walls were marked and dirty.

The location for scuba diving is just perfect. You literally enter the dive site from the resort's beach. On top of that, the bungalows are positioned directly toward the east. As a result, the Sun welcomes you every morning. Diving is not the cheapest, but at least in my case, I had a private dive guide, which was really convenient if not luxurious. Internet-wise I don't even remember if Wifi worked as I was surprised I had great mobile internet from Telkomsel, which surprised me because I thought only XL works well in Tulamben.

The quality of the room and the bathroom was way below my expectations. I got misled by the photos plus possibly they deteriorated a bit during the pandemic. There were heaps of space in the bungalow, which sounds great, but it actually felt very empty and wasteful. Especially the bathroom is awkwardly, disproportionally large. Lesson learned for me - chose a smaller room next time ;-) The restaurant has a very limited choice of meals, esp. for vegetarians. I found the quality of the food to be good, but I struggled to find a meal to celebrate a great day. I was surprised that there is no ATM in Tulamben anymore. The closest is in Kubu. Not a problem for the resort as they accept credit cards (with 3% surcharge).

Don’t expect gourmet food. It’s simple but nice .

The location was amazing, the room was very big and up to expectations. The staff was lovely, and the dive instructor was amazing, showing us the beautiful underwater world of Tulamben.
