There is nothing really to say about the hotel rather than it's amazing in all possible ways. The setting is so natural and in the same time luxurious, the food is delicious, the SPA is great value for money and it's a walking distance from the downtown if you don't want to wait for the shuttle. They also offer bikes if you fancy a little exercise. All in all, a great experience so do not hesitate to come give it a try :)

We booked 2 rise fields view villas but only one of them had an infinity pool that opened to the rise fields. The other one had a pool with no view but a terrace in from of the villa, which had a view of one of the main pools and in the back and a bit to the side, the rise fields. I will not take a point out of the hotel score for this but I do find it a bit unfair that this villa is also part of the rise fields view villas and is sold as such. I would much rather categorize it as a garden pool villa.

We had the most wonderful stay. We loved the design and architecture of the villa complex. We watched the men prune and care for the trees each morning. The most beautiful mineral pool I have ever seen. Great food and warm service. We slept well and swam at least three times a day! It was exactly what we needed. We would love to return some day.

Other guests garbage; beer bottles, full ash trays and cigarette packs were left lying on the ground were left around the main pool until near mid day from the night before. This happened a few times over our stay and staff were not quick to clean it up for other guests to enjoy the space. I did not enjoy people flying drones around the pool.

Stayed here in 2018. The staff were fantastic. Everyone from transport guys, cleaning team, restaurant staff, reception staff, spa staff, people delivering anything we needed etc and always pleasant. Shuttle into Ubud goes every hour until 10 pm and easy to catch back. Breakfast choices cater for people from different countries as well as Indonesian food. Afternoon tea is included. Food for in room dining was delicious. The villa itself was very spacious. We had a pool villa and it overlooked the valley and rice fields. The villa had gardens surrounding it and included fresh fruit and biscuits. Transport to and from airport was convenient. Fantastic

I don’t think it could be improved on

We booked a private pool villa which was beautiful. Clean pool, spacious room and all amenities provided. The hotel has two other pools which are also stunning. The staff were absolutely amazing- so friendly and helpful. The hotel is located a little out of the main part of ubud which was a good thing as traffic in ubud is crazy. There is a free shuttle that takes you to main part of ubud ever two hours - near the palace which makes walking around this area easy. We had a great stay.

The breakfast quality is the only thing that lets the hotel down. Large menu but very mediocre food so we didn’t try lunch or dinner at the hotel.

This place is a little hidden gem. We stayed in the presidential villa for 3 nights for my birthday celebrations and it exceeded our expectations. The place was magical and the staff were amazing. Would definitely recommend this one to anyone looking for a little hidden paradise. Breakfast was excellent, staff were excellent and brought me a cake and sang happy birthday. They are super sweet. The ladies in the day spa are also delightful and friendly. This is an amazing place. The only thing was the traffic in Ubud - horrific but well worth the stay to get away from the hustle and bustle of Bali central. Dani G

The hotel was in a great location with frequent shuttle service for the short distance in central ubud. Traffic around Ubud is crazy and this proved to be a lot more important than I realised at the time of booking. Facilities were great, exceptional layouts in the rooms. very private. great private pool. Breakfast was good.

Nothing - it was perfect.

The Dwaraka is a lovely facility with well kept grounds, excellent friendly staff and a traditional Balinese setting. The swimming pool was excellent as it was the first genuinely cold and refreshing pool we accessed in all of Bali. The free hourly shuttle into Ubud was very useful and a great idea as it allows you to stay just out of town in a less busy area compared to the central area. There are also a number of good local restaurants nearby so you don't need to go to town to eat if you don't feel like it.

The stairs were a bit of a struggle at times and there was a very vocal rooster in the neighbourhood. We did not use the spa or restaurant (other than for breakfast, which was good) so cannot comment on these.

The grounds and villas were beautiful and very well maintained.

Inconsistency with room cleaning. Some days they wouldn’t replace glasses and mugs if they had liquid in them, they didn’t replenish the mini bar and the toilet paper was very thin which was not consistent with a four star property.

Perfect Stay! I don't know if it's a category, but this is a botanical hotel. It has such an amazing garden full of tropical plant carefully placed and taked cared of. - The staff...amazing. Here to cather all your needs - There is a restaurant on site in which you can eat until 10:00 PM. Good food. - There is a spa on site with excellent services, but more expensive than the downtown service. But it's very clean. You have a free foot massage. - It's about 20 min walk to Ubud center, but you have a free shuttle from the hotel every hour to and from the hotel. - Apart from the pools in the private villas, they also have 2 larger pools. One of them is fully covered with palm trees and has shade all across the day, perfect for those who like to swim, but not staying in the sun. - The breakfast is a-la-carte, you can choose from a large variety of dishes.

Maybe the prices at the spa.

The villa was absolutely gorgeous: air conditioned, lots of amenities (conditioner!), and a private pool. We loved how attentive and welcoming the staff were. I have dietary restrictions and they specially made an anniversary cake with me in mind and welcome design on our bed for our first day. It was very easy to get and use the free hourly shuttle, even if sometimes crowded, and the food and spa were very good. They also provided a jug of mineral water, which was a top convenience for someone who needs a lot of water!

The food/drink, spa, and transportation services, albeit in very professional and warm settings, were a little costly compared to other hotels and spas we came across of a similar calibre. Bogo happy hour was good value. We chose to go to a nearby convenience store for portable water, alcoholic drinks, and snacks the rest of the time.
