The staff are extremely friendly and hospitable Service very prompt, Quick to attend to for any issue Well built Villa They did not disappoint!

Things to improve on would be the following: - Room doesn’t get cold enough, something to do with air conditioning and size of room - little things like AC remote should be checked if battery has charge - Consider maybe having Smart TV or making the TV smart to access Netflix, YouTube ETC

Our stay at the villa was exceptional! The villa, our private pool, and everything else were amazing. We've stayed at many hotels and apartment properties while holidaymaking, but this was by far the best. The staff were outstanding and very respectful of our privacy. The room service and food were top-notch. Daily cleaning services, including pool cleaning, were provided. They offered many conveniences, such as scooter hire, day trips, and spa services. We felt very safe and comfortable, thanks to the 24-hour reception. They went above and beyond. Highly recommended! We will truly miss this place!

Everything was clean and the staff were amazing great location. Would stay again because it was mostly perfect. It was near every yet still piece full unit early 2 mornings in a row a man was singing very loudly some where out on the streets at 3am in the morning and i couldn’t go back to sleep because it went on for an hour plus both mornings. So maybe bring ear plus but once again all that I’ve written are the only things I can think to f as everything else was great and I mean what do you expect in a busy area.

Wasn’t too much of a fan of the breakfast, we tried different things everyday and were there 4 days my partner and I chose different things and it was very average. The pool was a big small and all the rooms over looked the pool and it was right at the entrance so felt very uncomfortable to swim as people were walking in and out of the property. But other than that everything else was perfect.

My partner and I stayed in the Deluxe Double Room at Villa Kayu Lama, and our experience was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality, making us feel right at home. Our room was spotlessly clean, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to assist with anything we needed. Room service exceeded our expectations—the food was delicious and a delightful surprise. The complimentary shuttle to Ubud was a fantastic perk, and the driver was not only friendly but also spoke English well, making our travels even more enjoyable. Overall, our stay at Villa Kayu Lama was exceptional, and we will definitely be returning.

Staff is amazing, so kind and always helpful! Guys who bring us breakfast are also so kind and great! Villa provide also free shuttle bus to the center a couple times a day, we didn’t used it because we had scooter which villa also provide as well! This was our third villa on Bali and it was the best one. Breakfast is also so good, their mix juices are amazing. Rooms were clean every day perfectly! They also provide laundry, and they are so fast, we get our clothes in a couple hours. Food we ordered additionally was good, we didn’t liked something but it’s indonesian kitchen so I think that because it’s not for our taste. Villa and garden with pool is incredible large, also water in pool is perfect warm. I recommend this villa for sure!

A lovely stay outside the business of Ubud. It's nice and quiet and a lot more tranquil than if you were to stay in the centre. It's a quick bike ride into the centre of Ubud or there is a free shuttle bus available. The room was very comfortable, and the bathroom was nice and clean. The restaurant attached had great food with a lovely view over rice fields. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money, will stay again next time I'm in Ubud!

Omg I cannot praise this place enough, the location was too good!!..we stayed in a one bedroom private villa with pool and everything about this place was worth it. To start with the amazing view of the rice fields and the whole feel of nature and its secluded exclusivity. Albeit it's slightly far from center, but that is what I wanted as we had activities planned, so transport was not an issue for us. The restaurant has good pasta and seafood options. Pizza was too bad...but other options were good...maybe they should improve on this part. The breakfast was top notch and they delivered it in room ( order to be given a day earlier).. Expect small insects and lizards..but that's expected of a place surrounded with nature. Bathrooms were good too. However they could use better wooden flooring as some floor blocks were coming off a bit. There should have been a curtain to cover the bathroom area as it had a transparent glass which did nothing to cover the otherwise fully open bathroom.

Pizza taste and quality to be improved. And more options to be added ... especially in the grilled options. Bathroom divider should have a curtain from inside atleast.

We love everything about the property from the staff to the details of the room and the food! One of the best and freshest food at a villa. We had breakfast and dinner here. The staff even packed us to go breakfast for our early morning day tour. The staff were very friendly and they cleaned our room every morning. The place and the pool were very clean and quiet. It felt like we had the entire villa ourselves since we never crossed paths with any other guests. The location requires you to take a drive out if you want to get out of the village but they hand scooters to rent all day.

Me and my friend had a lovely stay here. We booked the private villa and when we arrived they had made so much effort to make it look amazing, the bed was all decorated with towels and flowers, the bath was filled and decorated with a flower pattern, it was just amazing! We got a free breakfast every morning with our stay which was so good and we got to pick from the menu so we could have something different each morning and sometimes we had floating breakfast with no extra cost! The staff were just incredible, they did an amazing job, very hospitable, friendly and kind and always have a smile on their faces! The food we ate there was so good also!

The location isn’t in town so not near many shops but this was also a bonus because it was peaceful where we were. They also offer free transport into town which is super helpful.

Villa Kayu Lama was beautiful. It’s a more secluded location from the busy central Ubud which we loved and it was very easy to get to central by bike. Cannot overstate how lovely and welcoming the staff were and they upgraded myself and my girlfriend to the deluxe private pool room for our anniversary. Facilities were lovely, rooms were always clean and the pools were well maintained. They are very thoughtful of all the little things even preparing a take-away breakfast box before our sunrise Mount Batur trek and organised a floating breakfast to enjoy. Overall, a lovely stay and highly recommend.

Location wise, you’re more secluded and there isn’t much to explore around but you can easily get a Grab and go into town. Dinner is tasty at the Villa so we were more than happy to stay there for the evening
