It was our first time in Bali and I am so happy that we started our trip from Ubud and booked this lovely new hotel. The villa itself was just amazing with all you need: super comfortable bed, nice outer bathroom, netflix/youtube/amazon premium facilities, amazing breakfast which you choose from the menu, nice pool and general area was so green and fantastic. The staff is very friendly and nice. We have a great communication with you and you were very kind to us. The hotel is new, we also booked it for a very nice price.

Just few comments: the hotel is a little bit far from Ubud, like 20 minutes by bike and there is a lot of traffic jam, but the surroundings are so beautiful, so you just enjoy the trip. The staff has lost the T-shirt of my husband in laundry, which was new and was part of the present, still it is not a problem, but I recommend staff to be a little bit more attentive, as there were also moments with shortcomings in organizing my husband's surprise for me and some requests that the staff forgot about. But you are so sweet and nice that we were ready to forgive you everything)

The lodge with private pool was clean, comfortable, and extremely nice. The staff was very accommodating and helped with the scooter, massages, and guidance for places to visit. They helped with our luggage, picked us up when we were lost, and helped with planning like a late night massage and other accommodations to go above and beyond. Even outside of Ubud, they were very knowledgeable and helpful. Would recommend the place to anyone who wants to be able to relax and have a great experience while at the resort.

The surrounding location is not very exciting. So be ready to eat at the restaurant or find a place further away to find a restaurant.

Our stay at Unagi Wooden Villas was truly special, and the exceptional hospitality of the staff made all the difference. A huge thank you to Eva, Eka, Voga, and Tuti for their kindness and dedication. We stayed in a villa with a private pool, which we highly recommend for those seeking privacy and relaxation. The courtyard and terrace create the perfect setting to unwind after exploring. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the semi-open shower with its own tropical garden was a unique touch that made our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious and varied, with plenty of authentic Balinese flavors, and the dinner menu offered great options for those who prefer to dine at the resort. While the location is 35 to 40 minutes from Ubud, it offers a peaceful escape from the city’s hustle. If you’re looking for a secluded and comfortable retreat with outstanding service, this is the place to be. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful hotel! The room was amazing and very spacious, the outdoor shower was fantastic and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful - one morning we had to get up quite early and a take-away breakfast was prepared for us (thank you Eva!). Swimming in the warm pool under the night sky watching the stars was very relaxing experience I encourage anyone to try. Trying the hotel restaurant is a must, delicious breakfasts and fantastic dinners (I particularly enjoyed the aged beef!). Location is perfect with plenty of attraction around the Ubud - we highly recommend this place!

Everything was perfect.

It was our first trip to Bali and we didn't know what to expect. We tried this amazing villas and we can't describe how happy we were. The villas are 'hidden' at the end of a small road in a village in a 'jungle of flowers and plants'. That is what we were looking for. To be away from crowdy, loud places with many tourists. The first impression was at the arrival. We heard that Balinesians are very friendly, but we didn't expect this kind of friendliness. We had a private villa with a private pool. The villa was amazing. Spacious, king size bed, outdoor shower. The stuff always asked us if we need something and they were always ready to help us, give us some advice on trips, where to go, what to see, what is the best option to travel. A huge thanks to the stuff, who made sure that we felt like home.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! Everything feels very new and exceptionally clean. I stayed in a villa with a private swimming pool — the area was peaceful, beautifully maintained, and perfect for relaxing. While it’s a bit away from the city center, the quiet atmosphere more than makes up for it. The value for money is outstanding. The staff truly go above and beyond — they’re always friendly, helpful, and make sure you feel taken care of. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the beautiful picture they arranged on my bed while I was out. It really shows how much they care about your experience. The food is also great, and the fact that they offer all-day breakfast is a big plus. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a comfortable, relaxing, and welcoming stay. Would definitely come back

We stayed here for 3 nights. It was the best stay. The people were the nicest you could ever expect. They organised trips and activities that made us experience the best of Ubud and help us make the best of our time. We especially recommend the sunrise trekking, which was a very special activity with the most amazing view on the island from mount Batur. We also took a Balinese cooking class which was so much fun to do with the nice people from the hotel. A full day tour allowed us to visit all the "go to" places with a personal tour guide for the entire day. The hotel restaurant (Wajik) is definitely a place to go as well, the food is delicious and the hospitality is amazing. The room was beautiful, with a view of the jungle and a bathtub on the terrace. The infinity pool has the same amazing jungle view. Special thanks to Anta and Tutik, who were the best hosts you could expect. Definitely recommend coming here if you would like to check out the Ubud area!

We had a wonderful and memorable stay at Unagi Wooden Villas. The best thing about our stay was the warmth and kindness shown by the staff (thanks Tuti, Yoga, both Ekas and the extended team) who were really lovely and went above and beyond to cater to our needs. They were so wonderful with our 20 month old toddler and let her feed the fish on multiple occasions. The rooms were well appointed, very charming and luxurious. Loved the indoor/outdoor bathrooms. The breakfasts were exceptional and the food from the inhouse restaurant Wajik was generally outstanding and we were happy to have all our dinners here after long days out. We would be very happy to stay here again. Keep up the excellent work! :)

Nothing, we loved our stay here.

The rooms were big and clean the staff were friendly and so helpful. It is quiet, and you are surrounded by lush gardens and nature. I loved the outdoor covered shower/bathroom, and the fact it was a smaller resort with a calming pool area. The breakfast was good, and there were various choices. The restaurant meals I ate were tasty and well presented. You receive complimentary water, muesli bar snacks, and softdrink daily in your room.

It is 30 minutes to the centre of Ubud. So unless you drive a scooter, you will need to get a driver. There are not a lot of shops close by. It would have been good to have a robe in your room and milk in the fridge (not just powdered).
