It was our first time in Bali and I am so happy that we started our trip from Ubud and booked this lovely new hotel. The villa itself was just amazing with all you need: super comfortable bed, nice outer bathroom, netflix/youtube/amazon premium facilities, amazing breakfast which you choose from the menu, nice pool and general area was so green and fantastic. The staff is very friendly and nice. We have a great communication with you and you were very kind to us. The hotel is new, we also booked it for a very nice price.

Just few comments: the hotel is a little bit far from Ubud, like 20 minutes by bike and there is a lot of traffic jam, but the surroundings are so beautiful, so you just enjoy the trip. The staff has lost the T-shirt of my husband in laundry, which was new and was part of the present, still it is not a problem, but I recommend staff to be a little bit more attentive, as there were also moments with shortcomings in organizing my husband's surprise for me and some requests that the staff forgot about. But you are so sweet and nice that we were ready to forgive you everything)

Our stay at Unagi Wooden Villas was truly special, and the exceptional hospitality of the staff made all the difference. A huge thank you to Eva, Eka, Voga, and Tuti for their kindness and dedication. We stayed in a villa with a private pool, which we highly recommend for those seeking privacy and relaxation. The courtyard and terrace create the perfect setting to unwind after exploring. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the semi-open shower with its own tropical garden was a unique touch that made our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious and varied, with plenty of authentic Balinese flavors, and the dinner menu offered great options for those who prefer to dine at the resort. While the location is 35 to 40 minutes from Ubud, it offers a peaceful escape from the city’s hustle. If you’re looking for a secluded and comfortable retreat with outstanding service, this is the place to be. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful hotel! The room was amazing and very spacious, the outdoor shower was fantastic and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful - one morning we had to get up quite early and a take-away breakfast was prepared for us (thank you Eva!). Swimming in the warm pool under the night sky watching the stars was very relaxing experience I encourage anyone to try. Trying the hotel restaurant is a must, delicious breakfasts and fantastic dinners (I particularly enjoyed the aged beef!). Location is perfect with plenty of attraction around the Ubud - we highly recommend this place!

Everything was perfect.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! Everything feels very new and exceptionally clean. I stayed in a villa with a private swimming pool — the area was peaceful, beautifully maintained, and perfect for relaxing. While it’s a bit away from the city center, the quiet atmosphere more than makes up for it. The value for money is outstanding. The staff truly go above and beyond — they’re always friendly, helpful, and make sure you feel taken care of. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the beautiful picture they arranged on my bed while I was out. It really shows how much they care about your experience. The food is also great, and the fact that they offer all-day breakfast is a big plus. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a comfortable, relaxing, and welcoming stay. Would definitely come back

We had a wonderful and memorable stay at Unagi Wooden Villas. The best thing about our stay was the warmth and kindness shown by the staff (thanks Tuti, Yoga, both Ekas and the extended team) who were really lovely and went above and beyond to cater to our needs. They were so wonderful with our 20 month old toddler and let her feed the fish on multiple occasions. The rooms were well appointed, very charming and luxurious. Loved the indoor/outdoor bathrooms. The breakfasts were exceptional and the food from the inhouse restaurant Wajik was generally outstanding and we were happy to have all our dinners here after long days out. We would be very happy to stay here again. Keep up the excellent work! :)

Nothing, we loved our stay here.

The rooms were big and clean the staff were friendly and so helpful. It is quiet, and you are surrounded by lush gardens and nature. I loved the outdoor covered shower/bathroom, and the fact it was a smaller resort with a calming pool area. The breakfast was good, and there were various choices. The restaurant meals I ate were tasty and well presented. You receive complimentary water, muesli bar snacks, and softdrink daily in your room.

It is 30 minutes to the centre of Ubud. So unless you drive a scooter, you will need to get a driver. There are not a lot of shops close by. It would have been good to have a robe in your room and milk in the fridge (not just powdered).

It’s really nice hotel and the rooms are super nice with a huge shower and bath. The hotel swimming pool is the best it’s clean and with a very nice view. The hotel is quiet and calm the stuff are nice and friendly especially tuti she was helpful. They have a good thing that the breakfast time is flexible so you can order your breakfast at any time and we had an afternoon tea and photo session with our booking.

I think the room could be inspected better from insects and mosquitoes as I still have many bites till now from my stay. The hotel is literally in the middle of the mountains so you have to expect seeing insects and next to the swimming pool too. And the hotel is not easy to find by Grab so we had to wait too long for grab to come and you can take a local driver but it’s more expensive. The breakfast presentation is nice but the food taste is meh could be better.

I had a really wonderful stay at Unagi Wooden Villas. The rooms, gardens, and pool are beautiful, and the restaurant very delicious (the included breakfast is exceptional and very generous!). I also really appreciated the efforts of the restaurant for me as a vegetarian guest - the chef made the satay with tofu (which was absolutely delicious), and the vegetarian nasi goreng was served with egg, tofu and tempeh and was also excellent. I never felt like I was missing out. The staff are exceptional - very courteous, warm, and thoughtful. They always gave the impression that nothing was too difficult in terms of making sure you had the best stay possible. I tried the in-room massage, which was very good, and arranged a driver via the hotel, which was very easy. I am so grateful to the Unagi team for such a fantastic stay - thank you. I would return in a heartbeat!

I don’t have any negative feedback at all - it was an excellent stay. I think maybe just worth noting that it’s in a quieter part of Ubud, out of the busy centre - but I liked this as it was extremely peaceful and serene. I think also worth noting that sometimes Grab drivers got lost trying to find the place - however the staff were wonderful with speaking with the driver and directing them when this happened.

We stayed at this gem right on the edge of Ubud for the second half of our stay in Bali, and couldn’t have made a better choice! It felt like our quiet getaway/haven, even though it really wasn’t far from town… which made it perfect! Our room was spacious and serene; we loved the jungle view and our outdoor bathtub, including getting the “flower bath” one evening during our stay (highly recommended). The restaurant and its food was great, as well. One of the most outstanding things about Unagi is the staff we encountered, who were incredible! Friendly, accommodating, and helpful in every way. Anything we needed was simply a question or request away… and it was provided without hesitation. Though I didn’t get everyone’s name, we interacted most with Tutik, Eva, Eka, Yoga, Adi, and Erlin. They were all amazing! Highly recommend!
