Loved everything about this place! The privacy and beauty of our Villa, the quiet compound it was nestled in, the spectacular view from the cliffs... and of course the luxury of being pampered by the kind and most professional people who took care of us every minute of our stay. Oh, and did I mention the butler? Sometimes I had the feeling she could read our minds... With all its luxury, the Ungasan is never over the top, but has a pleasantly personal atmosphere. We will be back for sure.

We recently spent an unforgettable 7 days at CHINTAMANI Villas, part of The Ungasan Clifftop Resort. From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in a serene escape, enjoying the luxury of our private clifftop pool and the breathtaking surroundings. We came seeking relaxation and rejuvenation, and this resort delivered on every level. Although there are five villas on the property, during our stay, it felt as if we had the entire place to ourselves. Despite every villa being fully booked, the sense of privacy and tranquility was remarkable. The staff truly elevated our experience, with Hari and Eka, our butlers, providing exceptional service, and Putu, the manager and mixologist at Waatu Restaurant, impressing us with his expertise. CHINTAMANI Villas has now become our go-to destination for unwinding. The culinary offerings, whether at the villa, the resort's restaurants, or the beach club, were consistently outstanding. Initially, we were concerned that staying on the property for a week might limit our dining options or lead to menu fatigue. However, that concern quickly vanished. The food was so delicious that we barely scratched the surface of the extensive menus available. Every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations—the impeccable service, the soothing massages, and the stunning views all contributed to an experience that was nothing short of extraordinary.

While the clifftop location provides stunning views and a refreshing breeze, we did find that the cooler temperatures made the pool water a bit brisk at times. It would be wonderful to have the option to heat the pools, especially during cooler days, to enhance the already fantastic experience.

The villas were beautifully done, the food was excellent, the staff were wonderful. My butler Eka was so lovely and nothing was any trouble. Loved the calico mosquito tent around the bed - super cosy and useful too. Gorgeous gardens, great pools. Great hotel all round. Cute monkeys.

Not much to complain about. Due to rainy season there were lots of mosquitoes which made it hard to enjoy outdoors area at times. The beach bar Sundays is fab but despite the handy elevator there are still a lot of stairs to get up and down for someone who isn’t good with stairs and heat. That’s being picky.

Amazing location with a stunning view from the cliff top across the Indian ocean. We especially liked the small private villa areas. Each area (consisting of 4 villas) has their own common area with pool, breakfast area, patio. Service is very friendly, breakfast was fantastic. Rooms were very nice and spacious. Great mattress for a good sleep. Outdoor & indoor shower. We stayed in the „Nora“ villa area which has an infinity pool towards the ocean.

Down at the beach it was very crowded, noisy (loud music) and not peaceful at all. Reason is that there is a beach club (part of Ungasan resort) which is open for everyone, also to non-resort guests. This makes it a bit trashy and even the „exclusive hotel guest area“ is not nice. Feels like many people are going there to day-drink and party. Beach is nice though.

The Ungasan Clifftop Resort exceeded my expectations. Pictures simply don't do the beauty, serenity, and cleanliness of the property justice. When you first drive thru the gates, you get the sensation that you're entering a resort of fantasy island. The staff welcomed me with such gratitude abs hospitality that o felt like royalty. The butler was extremely helpful and gracious, booking taxis and arranging for an early morning trek to the beach. As a solo traveler, it's important to feel safe and comfortable and The Ungasan delivered on both. I can't wait to go back for a longer stay..

The staff were very helpful and friendly at all times. I got sick with Bali Belly and they were able to arrange for a Dr to come with an IV and other medications, very quickly at about 1am in the morning. Nothing we asked for was too much trouble.

The hotel can't help this much and they do what they can but the local monkeys swimming and defecating in the pool wasn't great. Everything else is perfect

Amazing views from the cliff top. Sundays beach club was great fun and always lively. AVilla was spacious, clean and well equipped with lovely communal gardens, lounge and pool area.The cinema room was a nice addition although we didn’t use it ourselves.

Limited restaurant options and menus. Some sort of shop would make a great addition as the nearest is a taxi ride away.

A stunning location with lovely room and excellent facilities. Sundays Beach Club was a highlight, as was the service provided by the staff, they saw to our every need. The breakfast was very high quality, some of the best sourdough I've had in my life!

The rooms were a little tired, with some bubbling and discolored paint and could definitely use a refresh.

Amazing place, all the resort is beautiful everywhere. There are view points across the resort, to see the ocean from the ciffs. I spend 2 hours watching the landscape and sitting on the grass, real meditation for eyes. Very clean, well maintained, and the service is personalized. The staff is super professional and very well trained (but not robotized), they almost read your thoughts. They pay attention to you every moment and they do very quickly whatever you need, but stay almost invisible and quiet! The breakfast is the best I have during my one month trip across Bali, and the food in general is very good, at normal or affordable prices. The beach is easily accessible because they have a cable car to get you near the beach. The bar and the restaurant at the beach are big too, so you can spend all the day at the beach having what ever you need. The beach is also open to people outside of the resort, so it is busy, but very comfortable at the same time. Everything is super professional but very personalized and warm at the same time, you can feel it, in a very very amazing environment! Thank you for all your attention and this wonderful experience!

This was probably the most excellent place I have ever stayed in, especially the nicest place in Bali. Everyone was super friendly and the rooms were awesome. The most impressive feature about this place is that you have VIP access to Sundays beach club, which offers the best beach in all of Bali. A special thanks to Martin, who was an amazing guy and offered the best hospitality possible! We will 100% come back. In addition, the breakfast was outstanding and you can have it wherever you want. Always book it with breakfast!
