It is a true balinese family homestay. The whole family lives there and is very welcoming, so you get to experience the real Bali, and sip your coffee watching the monkeys playing around. You can rent a motorbike from them (or easily find one nearby). The place is a bit further away from the main touristic areas, about 10- 15 mins by bike. Some rooms are more comfortable than others (for the same price), so ask for a room you like, if they're available.

Beautiful little homestay, a collection of small buildings with guest rooms and host's dwellings, lovely garden and a basic communal outdoor kitchen. My room had twin queen beds for my friend and I. Staff and other guests were very friendly and helpful with questions we had. They even offer a convenient laundry service! Thanks Made Roejas Family :)

Location can be a little difficult to reach if you don't have a car or scooter, shower was not hot

It’s a natural ,simple and cozy hostel with nice people managing it. If you’re looking for a serene and quiet place this is the place. Although it’s a bit isolated, but with scooter and Grab/Gojek don’t think it’s a problem. No toiletries provided but they give you towel and I prefer towel than toiletries. Was surprised to get one cause the booking price here is so cheap.

Emma the owner is soo lovely and makes you feel right at home. She has a few kids and couple dogs, cats and chickens getting around, it really is a cute little oasis in the jungle just 10 mins from Uluwatu! The value for money is crazy! Less than 200k a night and there’s a kitchen and Emma even does your washing! So beautiful!

The room I stayed in wouldn’t be ideal for couple as it’s just a single bed and small bathroom but for a solo traveller it was perfect! And there might be bigger rooms I’m not sure!

I loved my stay here, the place is a bit out of the way so you'd need a scooter but worth it for some quiet and the family are lovely. There's a place to cook if you wanted to. There was a cute dog and cat too.

It wasn't the cleanest place but it was mostly just ants making the mess which is hard to avoid. There was no aircon just a fan but it was fine for me.

Very quiet place. Good to relax. Friendly staff. Its not a social hostel, so its nice to get away from crowds. Comfy bed and private bathroom. You'll need to rent a scooter as is a bit away from the main road.

Fridge was not working and kitchen conditions could be better.. Its ok if you don't plan to cook there. Everything else was nice

Very comfortable stay, they also provide a laundry service for 10k IDR which was convenient. Location is nestled away in a little forest, not too far of a drive from the main Uluwatu area. Very friendly staff.

I didn’t have a sink in my bathroom 😂, I had to use the the public sink outside which I was a bit confused about.

Very very quite peaceful area, easy drive from all local attractions!! If you’re looking for a local feel & somewhere to feel welcomed this is the place!!

The hostel is located very far away from the downtown area, popular beaches, etc. so me and my friend wanted to cancel our stay. The owner kindly took us instead to their Roejas Sunset Hotel free of charge. It is conveniently located, the staff is very nice, and you can buy food or cook in the kitchen. If you are thinking about going to the Made Roejas Family, note that it is very calm, they have animals, a good shared kitchen, but it is not so conveniently located for going to most places.
