I had an absolutely lovely time there. I stayed in the tent for two nights, and I slept really well and it was very comfortable to sleep there. It was also easy to find and I liked the village and the people there a lot. The family who is running this guesthouse/tent is really kind and I felt so welcomed there, it was an amazing experience. The breakfast and the food was delicious and it was very interesting to see how the bedouins in Israel live. I can really recommend everyone who is travelling in the region to book this place because it offers a different and very personal experience, much better than any hotel or other regular accomodation. There is also a small shop in the village if you need anything and other amenities are just a few minutes by car away. I will definitely come back when I am travelling the region!

The property manager is very welcoming and pleasant, takes care of any problems that might arise. Breakfast was served with their own speciality tea. Property manager did a tour of the location, it was a very exotic experience.

During the night there was some noise from the water pumping equipment, and since they have chickens, you might hear them early in the morning.

I enjoyed learning about the owner's efforts to be environmentally conscious and the technological and other tools used to maintain the site.

Location is a bit out of the way, but that depends on where the guest is headed. My only disappointment was that the location was not as dark as I had hoped in order to see the stars. But this is not the fault of the guesthouse.

The family was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Language was a bit of a problem for our hostess as we don't speak Arabic and her English is not so good, but we managed. We didn't arrange for a supper but our hostess provided us with delicious Bedouin tea and a very tasty Bedouin dish made of rice cooked in leaves. I'm sorry we didn't arrange for a supper. We slept vey well on thick Bedouin mattresses with quilts. The next morning we chatted to Khalil whose English is very good. It was a great experience and we were served excellent Bedouin tea and a fantastic breakfast, most of which they make of grow themselves.

A signboard at the road and signs showing where to go would have helped. However, everyone was very friendly and the children were eager to show us where to go. Khalil informed me that a new sign was being made.

Our stay at Khan Alsira was a very nice experience for our family. We booked both the tent and the two-room apartment so that our group members had a choice in case the tent would be less comfortable. However, most of them preferred the tent. We had breakfast in the tent as well on the first day. Second day we had to leave very early to catch our flight but the owner prepared a take away breakfast for us that we could consume during the trip to the airport. The hospitality of the bedouin family was great. We also had dinner with them and tea and the owner told us a lot about their way of life and how they cope with all the constraints of having to take care for a lot of facilities like energy and waste collection themselves. The location is perfect for trips to destinations in the Negev or around the Dead Sea. Negev Camel Ranch is only 30 minutes away and Dead Sea around 45 minutes. We can absolutely recommend this place.

Nice and interesting place in the Negev. We were taken a very good care of. Our 2 year son loved the place, had a lot of fun with local kids and was reluctant to leave :-) It was a pleasure to meet Khalil and his family. Importantly, you can get diner there on Sabbath when you arrange it before hand. If you arrive in Israel on Friday evening as we did, that is something you will appreciate. Very good communication with the host. Excellent food.

A bit tricky to find the right house, particularly at night. Need wheels to get there.

Khalil and his family are very attentive people, who contacted us beforehand to make sure we would find everything all right and so they could prepare for our visit. We had dinner there which was homemade and delicious! Khalil sat with us and two other guests and we had a talk throughout dinner. His wife had cooked and we can highly recommend having dinner there as well! We also had to leave early for sunrise at Masada and they packed us breakfast. They are very kind and helpful hosts, but not intrusive whatsoever. Thank you Khalil and family for having us!

Breakfast was delightful, fresh home grown and delicious. Father, owner of the tent was friendly , very interesting. He showed us around and told us about their family and the village life. It was a lovely and comfortable visit with exception of Israeli fighter jets deploying bombs at two different times, flying from the nearby military airfield at midnight and 3 in the morning. His family members were also friendly and courteous. It was a lovely stay at except for the bomber jets making it a bit nerve racking.

No bomber jets flying overhead

We just needed a place to sleep on a road trip. We dont planned to get in contact with beduins an their culture. What luck we landed at Khalils home. For shy germans like us it is first a strange thing to turn in one of these small villages without asphalt at the street. My advice: do it! Khalil and his family have two twobed rooms for you with a bathroom, a fridge and a pentry kitchen inside. ... And a van Gogh! You get original cafe (like it should taste). A great origin breakfast. And stories about the beduine live.

The cat from the neighbours have stolen my corned beef. But it was my fault.

I & my boyfriend decided to be alone celebrating Christmas in a peaceful place outside a busy city & we found this place, and the owner Mr.Khalil & his family are so thoughtful & generous to all of his customers and very hands-on in everything, making sure you got all you need, your comfortable & the food it's fantastic, all his customers gather and eat together like a family, and great to know amazing people while we eat together, you got your kitchen in the room so you can cook if you want, the place is amazingly preserved & we are probably gonna come back again & again💚highly recomend🥰
