Location on the beach, nice views from the rooms Good size rooms Rooms are clean and bedsheets/ towels are changed regularly Large swimming pool Tasty food for breakfast and dinner in the restaurant Kind and helpful staff
I have been coming for over 10 years, and this year I felt that costs were cut in some areas (like not providing water in the room daily, variety of food for breakfast - cutting some options such as smoked salmon and pancakes,, number of staff in the dining room). The restaurant staff was very professional and worked very hard but I felt there were not enough waiters to be able to clean the tables and take care of clients requests. It is a luxury hotel and it should feel like luxury, these details matter.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The spa experience was exceptional, with a hot, dry sauna and a relaxing salt pool that made for the perfect escape. The food was delicious, and the rooms were impeccably clean, providing a comfortable and refreshing stay. The strong water pressure in the shower was a great touch! The beautiful view from the rooms made my stay even more special. The amazing jacuzzi room was a true highlight, and the room with a private pool felt like something out of my dreams! The entire experience was luxurious, relaxing, and unforgettable. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect getaway!

The location was great, food excellent and the spa was brilliant.
Everything was so expensive... from room service to the lobby bar.

Thursday night dinner was good. There were a lot of meat choices. Sulfer spa was excellent. Didn't use pool outside but looks very nice. Very close walk to private beach at Dead Sea. Enjoyed the privacy of the location. The grounds of the hotel were very clean.
Our room on the 4th floor was a challenge. Walking to our room we noticed the carpet was damaged. Bed felt like it needed a better mattress. Missing face towels. Beds moved apart from the slightest touch. We spoke to the manager Nina who was polite and considerate. She gave us a better room which made a world of difference. So bottom line was 1st night was a difficult but the 2nd night was much better.

Hotel right on the beach in a beautiful location. Lobby was pretty and dinner was good with a variety of foods. the beach is just in front of the hotel and is beautiful, clean, and well organized, (although you have to pass an ugly gate to get to it). The staff did everything they can to make our stay pleasant, especially Ofek from guest services. The room was overall clean and the facilities were good. We particularly liked the heated salt pool and the outdoor swimming pool. Overall, I would highly recommend for a pleasant stay at the dead sea.
The common areas were clean but not spotless. Breakfast and dinner were quite crowded, and the reception did not have sufficient staff. These are quite usual problems for Israeli hotels though. We were also disappointed to learn that there is no paid parking so we had to look for a space, but the staff did what they could to help.

The food was very good, with lots of choices. We got upgraded to the garden room which had a private pool and made our stay even more wonderful. The rooms were clean, the staff were very helpful and was overall great.
The kids area was not open as it was under construction and that wasn’t told to us upon arrival which was a bit annoying as we were staying with two kids. Additionally, there was construction work going on around the main pool which was a little bit disturbing.

The food was delicious, especially on Yom Kippur evening. On Friday and Saturday it was a little less tasty, but it was varied. The place is kept clean and the housekeeping service is good. Staff gave explanations and were available. We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, almost 4 days.
Coffee machine in the room didn't work, only gave out hot water. The receptionist at the spa booked my room in the care of the other family, our friends. It was not pleasant when I was charged twice. The service of the spa receptionist is less welcoming. The therapist's treatment was excellent so that made up for the experience a little. In the jacuzzi - there are exposed screws, so there is a risk of injury. I didn't realize if there was a spa staff member in the indoor pool area... there was no one to ask for help and the floor stayed wet for a long time. The hotel has a private beach, this is a significant advantage. It's a well-maintained beach, so people who don't live in the hotel come and it causes discomfort and sometimes congestion.

pleasant and helpful staff. I would commend Lada the manageress and Nicol the barmaid. Both tried to ensure I got prompt service pleasantly.
Hotel overall showed a lot of wear and tear, not what I expected from a hotel of this standard. An extensive refurbishment would bring the hotel in line with others of the same star rating

We had asked for two rooms together when we booked, and when we arrived, they were not together, which was a problem because we are traveling with our two young teenagers. They insured us that as soon as I’m joining room was available, they would move us. The next day they moved us to upgraded garden suites that opened out to a semi private pool and had adjoining doors for our kids. This made our trip exceptionally great! Our kids enjoyed the pleasure of going to the pool to relax and cool off anytime they wanted and to relax at night in the semi private hammock and lounge area. The nice lady that checked us in also invited us to enjoy lunch as a treat for all the trouble with moving rooms. All of the food at Herod’s Dead Sea was great! There was such a variety and truly something for everyone!!!! We were definitely well fed! The spa experience was amazing too. We all enjoyed hot stone massages and floating in the Dead Sea pool. Thank you for making our annual trip to Israel extra special.
There were a few people who worked the reception that at had a little bit of an attitude. Twine person didn’t even let me ask my question before she answered me back so rudely and one guy just flat out had an attitude. The lady that checked us in and helped us with the room change was so accommodating and sweet. She even checked in with us a few times to make sure we were satisfied and had a great time. The only thing that we didn’t know about the hotel was that it was a little bit dated even with the remodeling. The pool was just average. It wasn’t anything special it seemed old and not very resort style. And really we had a great day, and I cannot really complain about anything even the things that I said I didn’t like were not deal breakers!
