Location was perfect. Waking up to the sights and sounds with a sea front view room was just perfect. We had a family room with 2 doubles. Super clean hotel, breakfast was delicious, lobby comfy and staff friendly. Rooftop Pool, Skylab bar and drinks and food very amazing! Best views! Kids club available, seemed good and super safe for little ones. Beach towels and chairs complimentary across the road at Wave Othon. Also 10% off food.

The bedrooms and bathrooms are a little tired but renovations are taking place. Beds were a little bit bouncy. The pool and restaurant terraces which have been completed are very modern, stylish and have a luxury feel. The room although termed ‘luxury’ was not really but that’s as we expected. Complimentary toiletries are quite low quality, if you’re fussy bring your own.

Location was perfect, we booked a suite with a sew view which I would strongly recommend as you get such an incredible view of the Copacobana beach at sunrise but you also get a lovely view at nigjt when the the whole area is lit up. Othon is significantly taller than the other hotels on the beachfront and this meant you get a wonderful view on the rooftop where they have a lovely infinity pool. The bed was huge and so comfortable, which made that extra difference for us. The room also had a 42 inch TV with netflix, amazon prime etc which was great for any lazy time in.

There honeslt wasn't much we didn't like although we felt the bathroom needs a bit of a touch up and is a little outdated when comparing to the rest of the hotel.

We didn’t like the renovations with the white net blocking our full view of Copacabana beach from our balcony and also the noise. Skylab Restaurant & pool not available.

Although the first room we were given fell far below our expectations (dirty old bathroom and stained carpet), from the second night we were given a room on a higher floor that was evidently much more recently renovated. The bathroom was beautiful and the bed very comfortable. Also, loved having access to the vip reception (where the staff were super friendly and helpful) as well as breakfast on the 30th floor, by booking a super deluxe sea view room. I would recommend it!

The first room we got was not so nice with stained carpets and dirty old bathroom. The elevators were also a big problem. Much of the time various elevators weren’t working. Despite being on the 29th floor, getting to the 30th floor for breakfast or to go to the pool could take more than 15 minutes waiting for the elevator. Fortunately we discovered that you could access the emergence stairwell through the service area, so we used that to go up and down the one flight as waiting for an elevator could take ages

Very good for the price, especially given the location on the Copacabana beach side. Booked a junior suite and therefore Skylab for breakfast (great food / service). The junior suite also gives access to an exclusive check in area, where Carla and Welinton were very welcoming and helpful (especially at 9am after 15 hours of travel!). The onsite food and drink options were fantastic and well priced. We spent a lot of time at the pool bar, where the service from Thiago was fantastic and can’t go unmentioned. To conclude, fantastic place to stay. Have a little upgrade work done done on the rooms / lifts and look forward to joining you again soon!

Room needs some upgrading works as it is getting tired / dated in various places. The hotel lifts / elevators need sorting too - many a time we were waiting over 10 minutes for a lift, especially to the Skylab where lift numbers to the 30th floor are limited.

The staff is friendly and welcoming. The breakfast buffet is amazing! The location is perfect for being close to the beach and close to pretty much anything you’d want or need for a few days. The room (deluxe sea view) was spacious and clean. The sunrises are beautiful! The rooftop and pool area is also exquisite! All things considered, it was a great room with a great stay and at a very fair price.

The carpets etc are a bit outdated, but fine overall if you don’t care about aesthetics too much. The wifi is horrible. Didn’t work most of the time. The elevator situation needs work. There are six elevators and either half of them didn’t work, and the other half was slowwwww. I ended up taking the stairs (to the 22nd floor!) one day. There is no airport shuttle, even tho the description says they have one. Instead, they hire a cab for you for an additional fee, which is fine. Except I found out later that the fee (from the company) is 150 Riais, but the hotel sells it to you for DOUBLE (310!!). So…do not book the “shuttle” thru the hotel, it’s extremely overpriced.

Location fronting the beach was excellent. Breakfast was plentiful and diverse. View from the room was very nice. Lots of shops to walk to.

Rooms were a bit dated and had the old power outlets which did not work with new converter I had brought. On the day of my sons wedding, the power went out in the hotel. It was off most of the day. It was a huge inconvenience and caused very difficult situations. The hotel did compensate us for the one day hotel charge so I feel like they did the best they cold to fix the situation. Thank you for that.

Location, breakfast, comfortable room and great view, reasonably quiet overnight (given location). Staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Excursions available from hotel front steps.

Very busy hotel so difficult to access reception for questions/assistance as constant check-in/check-out queue's. Older hotel (with modern renovations) so some aspects rather "tired" e.g. toilet dripping noises and stiff doors. Daughter had to change room because of plumbing issue which required major work resulting in large hole in bathroom wall.

The front desk staff, Wanderson, was very nice and accommodating. The hostess on the 3rd floor, Ana Flavia, was a delight to talk to and very nice. Romario, our wait staff, was also very attentive when we ate at the buffet. The location was across the Copacabana Beach and they have a balcony. The room service food were all delicious. We tried ALL their restaurants and they were all good EXCEPT the Pool Bar!!!

Here are a list: DO NOT order drinks at the 30th floor bar near the pool. The bartender were both rude and the drinks were nasty. The strawberry daiquiri drink was half way full and tastes like medicine and not chilled. My margarita was served in a martini glass. Pool at the rooftop was nice but small and smelled like poop. Room a little dated so the air conditioner doesn't work as good.

The room was fine, big but a older compared to the swimming pool and breakfast area, which obviously have been renewed recently. These were really really beautiful though!! The pool is absolutely amazing and the breakfast is really good and in a lovely room. The only thing about the pool was that it could get overcrowded with people and little kids so it was really loud at times which kind of takes the relaxing part out of it. Since you do pay quite a lot of money for one night it’s something they should work on. Overall we had a really good stay and I would definitely recommend.
