We had a lovely stay at this beautiful hotel. The receptionist was very kind, and communication in English was excellent. The location couldn’t be better – just a few minutes’ walk away there is a popular café with great coffee and pastries.

The only downside was the public parking. It was quite difficult to find a spot since there was a festival of board games going on in the city, and the whole town was very lively. The parking machines didn’t work either, but luckily we discovered an app, which turned out to be very convenient to use throughout Italy.

Location was not the easiest to find as its located in a pedestrian area but you can park temporarily to unload before using either the hotel car park or the public car park. The hotel is a few paces away from the main square so its easy to explore and find food and beverage outside of the hotel.

The hotel car parking charges were a little steep for what was a secure car park but the gates were broken. Given I was a paying guest for 2 nights it would have been nice to have the parking included in the stay.

All staff were friendly and helpful, especially at breakfast. We enjoyed the breakfast - there was an excellent selection of hot and cold food and beverages. We particularly enjoyed the pastries. The room was comfortable and the balcony really added very much to our enjoyment of the room. Before we arrived, we had completed check in online which made for a quick check in when we arrived at the hotel. Although we arrived early, we were able to go to our room straight away as it was ready.

Things for you to improve: Provide step-free access into the hotel and to the reception area inside. This is very easy to do if you put a ramp to one side of the stairs. My companion had difficulties because of the absence of step free access. Single beds provided in the Twin room should be wider! One more improvement - please provide bottled water for free in the rooms!

We arrived late at the hotel, the night receptionist was very charming. The rooms were beautifully decorated and spacious, beds really comfortable which was so good after a long journey. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean (and I’m picky as I used to work in the hotel industry). We slept very well as it was calm without street noises. The hotel is located extremely well, as you can reached the hotel by car then visit all the gorgeous town by foot. We also had breakfast in the patisserie, which was delicious and set us up for the rest of our day. The lounge is also beautiful and welcoming.

If you visit Aosta…and you should. Duca D’Aosta is the perfect hotel to stay at. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful with any questions you may have. And finally the hotel is situated close to the train station and also seconds from the city center, where there are tons of shops and restaurants. We highly recommend staying at this hotel and will return when coming back to Aosta.

The location was perfect - very close to the old town and Roman sites. The room was a good size , well fitted and a spacious bathroom. The hotel itself was well furnished with a comfortable reception area . The staff were friendly and helpful .

We would have had breakfast at the patisserie which was part of the hotel , but could only have a full buffet breakfast and we only wanted coffee and a croissant. However , it isn't difficult to have breakfast out in the town.

We spent three happy days in Aosta in this lovely and very reasonably-priced hotel, which retains its Alpine charm and atmosphere alongside up-to-date facilities and comforts. The location is ideal for exploring the old city which is full of history and buildings (both ancient and modern) and has some excellent restaurants.

Efficient, friendly and helpful staff, great central location, very comfortable room and cosy area near reception to relax in. This was the best hotel I have stayed in for many years, no exaggeration. The wonderful lady on reception (so sorry, I did not note your name) even phoned round local restaurants to find us a table for dinner (we had arrived at 6pm on a Saturday, so this was quite an achievement!). The bed was so comfortable and the rain shower was fantastic. Breakfast too was great. A lovely relaxing experience all round, in a great small hotel in a great small town. I will return!

Struggled to think of anything, the only minor thing I guess is that (my ipad anyway) I had to re-enter the password for the wi-fi every time I used it. But that is the only thing I can think of that could possibly be improved!

Friendly , helpful staff. Tastefully decorated foyer, bar and breakfast area. Comfortable bed with crisp cotton sheets. The hotel is well located in the city with parking options available. Breakfast in the hotel was substantial , with a varied selection of hot, cold, sweet and savoury foods.

Fantastic location, staff was very helpful, the patisserie was really great and the lobby-library was exquisitely designed and very nice to work on your laptop. Also the bathrooms in the rooms decorated in English style were also a nice addition

The pillows were very stiff and not comfy also the room was a bit in the small size
