Always very friendly reception staff. Good selection of typical Italian breakfast offerings. It was sweltering hot outside, but fortunately the room A/C worked very well. Close to the lake and within walking distance from some nice restaurants. The new automated front door makes access easier and now 24hrs.

Great coffee if ordered fresh, but I could not drink the black coffee from the urn, it was awful. Confusing and random selection of wall switches, sometimes hard to find which one to turn off the lights.

Friendly personal. Tasty breakfast. For vegans there is an option of cappuccino with soya milk. Also it was a pleasure to talk to Russian speaking girl - she is a waitress at the buffet. We have found a beautiful restaurant in 5 min from hotel. It called Del Torchio Al Tavolo. It’s a family restaurant. I don’t remember the name of the owner, but he was such a nice to us. Tasty food. Inspired stories and vibes. Generally - all is good. Italians are extremely kind people with open souls 🙏. We would love to come back again and again in this beautiful country.

There is a plastic door only between the neighbour balcony so we heard all voices till the end of the day.

It was located in a superb spot pretty much on the lake. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and amended the breakfast for my friend who is vegan and specially purchased her a vegan croissant. Super friendly staff and very thoughtful.

We would have loved a kettle in the rooms just to make a hot drink in the evening.

The hotel is in a good position in the centre of Angera near the lakefront. There are a few decent restaurants and bars nearby which you can walk to. The staff were very friendly & welcoming.

The rooms are rather old fashioned & the shower was rather cramped. The breakfast was ok , Italian style, though they will prepare cooked eggs for you if you ask.

Great location very close to the lake. Plenty of decent restaurants in the vicinity. Good double bed size. Good selection of breakfast items. Friendly welcoming staff. Wireless charging device by the bedside.

In few words, we fell in love with Angera, because of the staff in this hotel. Imaan and Katrina who not only made us feel at home but also suggested routes and places to visit, which made us see the beauty of the town. As a family you surely need places like this, which makes you comfortable and doesn’t give you that hotel vibe.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel dei Tigli in Angera! The hotel has a very authentic old time-y feel which we loved (but might not be for everyone), and what made it exceptional was the absolutely lovely staff! They made us feel so welcome and at home. The hotel has free mountain bikes you can take out during the day, we LOVED this perk it really added to our stay. Breakfast was great, a typical Italian/European breakfast with coffee, bread, cheese, yogurts etc. Thank you so much! 😊

The only downside might be the location - if you don't have a car like we did then you have to rely on the lake ferries in order to get to the more touristy villages like Stresa/Verbania etc, and the ferries from Angera are not very frequent. Angera itself is very nice and quiet, you can fill a day there with activities (like the castle) but other than that there isn't too much to do in the town itself or any nightlife

The location was ideal. Less than 10 mins from the ferry terminal and part the peaceful village. Also less than 10 mins walk to the supermarket. Also ideally located to walk to the castle. The welcome by Christina was warm, helpful and friendly which we greatly appreciated. Dense was also helpful and friendly. We liked our balcony with the vast roof top views, the castle and the lake. We also enjoyed the excellent coffee at breakfast and being able to use the kitchen fridge.

Some minor suggestions but all possible. Whilst its always a bonus to have a room fridge the performance was very average to keep contents cold. Having said that we did appreciate staff putting some contents in the hotel fridge:). The broken lounge seat on the balcony. Thankfully the 2 chairs were functional:) The dark bedroom despite all the lights being on. Another light is required.

I stayed for one night, we got nice recommendations for where to find the best Gelatto, breakfast was very nice too. Check in and check out times are strict. But they are listed on the page, thus you obviously know about them before. But if asked two days prior, they actually go out of their way too. We had an affordable pick up at the closest train station organised just two days prior as well.

The staff were excellent. The lovely receptionist helped us find a nearby restaurant which was amazing. The rooms were good and clean. Lovely location and lovely staff. The coffee for breakfast was excellent. The breakfast selection was a little poor but it was nice what we ate.

The bed cover kept coming off all night and the pillows weren't the best but it was ok for one night. The room was a little dark as it only had lamps and no main light in the bedroom.
