The staff were very helpful and welcoming !! Luca & his waiting on table , cleaning staff were a credit to themselves. They worked tirelessly to keep everything ticking along nice & smooth . The view of Lake Maggiore from our balcony and opposite was a sight to behold . The breakfast was very nice with a good choice of breakfast items . Overall it was an excellent hotel to stay for a few nights or more . Well done Hotel Ristorante San Carlo 👏👏

The car parking could be a little troublesome at busy times but the staff were willing to move cars about to make sure you could get a space .

Location was extraordinary and the hotel very comfortable and with a lot of charm We ate dinner in the restaurant one evening and it was delicious with a wonderful view of the lake.

It would have been disappointing not to have a view of the lake. It was not clear when we booked that the room was on the side of a small road. We had to pay once we got there for a lake view. Luckily the hotel had one free. There is not an option on booking.com to pre book a lake view so it needs more clarity to avoid misleading customers. Once we moved, it was an extremely good experience all around and we would certainly return!

Lake view room was great with a spectacular view. We came across it by chance but we would highly recommend it to anyone. The food in the restaurant was out of this world almost Michelin star srandard but not as expensive. 3 courses around €50-60 but we'll worth it. Wine local and reasonable. Wagu beef carpaccio to die for, also my wife had Piedmont tournedo - fabulous. Staff very friendly and happy to chat if you like that. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Staff was amazing specially Mr. Marco since we got there he made us feel welcome and when it was dinner time he was our server he absolutely made the night, he explained the different meals made suggestions and even gave us a little bit of background on wine. Views amazing. I will come Back for sure .

The only thing I would suggest working on is parking for the hotel guests. When people Come to eat to the restaurant they take up the parking for guests actually staying in the hotel. But either than that everything is great.

Newly renovated suite with stunning leek views. Amazing staff and great restaurant which serves special menu.

The parking is small which was used for both the hotel and the restaurant. Other cars would block my car in the evening. This gave me an anxiety as I had early flight next morning but staff helped me to park my car so no body can block me.

Wow, what a hidden gem, beautiful hotel with phenomenal views. Great rooms with excellent service, very rarely does a hotel at the price get a 10 review, excellent

A bit too far to walk into Arona, especially along the very busy road (no pathway), but hey it’s a small price to pay for this hotel and you can always get a cab as I did

The hotel is situated up on the hill above the town - it’s about 10 mins by car from the train station. I was first person in the first “new room” which was the upgrade - large room with lovely bathroom and lake view over the balcony!

The terrace view was fabulous, great that parking was available, staff were extremely helpful when asking for anything extra. Had dinner in restaurant, great service and food. Was able to add an extra guest for breakfast great coffee.

Can’t think of any negatives, windy road to get to hotel.

Without exception the staff are amazing, warm attentive and extremly helpful. The location of the San Carlo is simply Stunning the views over the lake are amazing day and night. The restraint is excellent also great wine. Many thanks to everyone forr making my stay perfect I look forward to seeing you again soon. Jon

Nothing other than I had to leave

Can’t beat the full wall of glass view in the room and spectacular lake views from the balcony!!!! Staff are friendly and excellent service! Ate dinner there and the tuna, pasta appetizer and beef were outstanding. Breakfast was very good and even offered scrambled eggs and multiple cups of cappuccino.Quiet location in a very clean room. The bed was a memory foam and so comfortable! Room had a/c but we opted to sleep with the doors wide open for the cool breeze off the lake. Loved it so much!!!! Thank you!!!

Hotel is in a cliff to the water with no safe place to walk. Taxi yo town is Euro 10 one way and worth the safety!
