This balconied flat is situated in the middle of a regular quarter where ordinary people live. The historical centre is 25-30 minutes of unhurried walk away. It felt very safe there. There are no tourists around - hence prices in shops and (excellent) restaurants are literally 50 per cent lower than in more central areas. Elfio is a great host, very helpful and quick to respond. His recommendations re: local life were always to the point. The flat is very clean and comprises two rooms where to different sets of travellers could stay. However each room has a separate (very clean) shower/WC section so there is no discomfort. On an off chance that you prefer staying indoors there is free access to Amazon Prime Video. Also I strongly recommend that visitors read the materials about Bari and the environs Elfio provides in the common room. I and my son used them to choose a day trip to charming town called Polignano a Mare and were very pleased with the experience. Finally: DO NOT MISS visiting Pasticeria Fanelli ( https://maps.app.goo.gl/UhXRJ4P4q2c1oKWKA ) 300 meters from the flat! It serves amazing croissants and other baked wonders.

A minor issue: both flats face the street so there is the inevitable element of noise, especially in the morning. At night it was quiet though. To remedy this one can shut the balcony door and switch on the air conditioning.

We had a wonderful stay in Bari, thanks to our amazing host Elfio ! He has a very kind and warm nature that instantly made us feel at home. One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast—Alfio personally prepared it each morning, and it was truly special. It’s rare to find a host who goes the extra mile instead of just picking up things from the supermarket. The room was spotlessly clean, well-lit, and very comfortable. Highly recommended if you're visiting Bari!

Nothing Everything was perfect

Elfio is an excellent host. He went out of his way to meet me after my evening arrival and provided an amazing amount of information to guide me round Bari. I followed his suggested walks and greatly enjoyed them. The property is very clean and comfortable. Elfio has also added many nice touches, such as codes for doors and a night light that comes on automatically when you exit your room. The kitchen is well equipped for coffee, tea and basic cooking or heating. Each room has a private bathroom which is very nice, with a good hot shower and additional hand shower. Recommended! for anyone other than those with limited mobility, who may struggle with the stairs and the walk across the railway bridge to the Old Town. My thanks to Elfio for his hospitality.

The only oddity is that it that your bathroom is separate from your room itself, so you must cross through the kitchen to reach it. Be sure to save your own blushes and those of other guests!

Elfio's description is right on. The shared kitchen area, our room and our bathroom were unassuming, but had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, room a good size, plenty of closet space and a drying rack which we took advantage of. The balcony was a great place for drying our clothes, which we washed in the sink. The neighborhood is safe, the bus stop to town minutes away (turn left outside the building, take the next right and halfway down the street on the opposite side you can catch Bus #10 close to the Historic District). AC worked well, wifi was good, we were fortunate to find a parking spot on the street so we never moved the car and took public transportation everywhere. Walking around the neighborhood is safe and we very much felt we were getting a local experience. Elfio is a super host, and his attention to detail is exceptional. He does what he can to make his feel welcome and cared for. There is a wealth of information he has compiled and made available, it came in so handy when we were planning our stops between Bari and Lecce. I can't speak about breakfast, we didn't choose that option. We enjoyed our stay.

The host was incredibly nice, we arrived very late (almost midnight) and he was happy to wait for us, showed us around the apartment and even offered us cold water. The room was perfect: multiple pillows, lamps by the bed, fridge, big wardrobe, air con, plug adapters and even a balcony. We had our own private bathroom and the kitchen included all the necessary appliances. He was always nice and fast to help us with our queries, we had a lovely time there. Totally recommended! The BnB was extremely clean...especially the bathroom, which I am quite particular about. It is close to the central tranl station thus easy to walk there. It's also close to most attractions like the old town. Elfio the host was AMAZING. He was very, very warm and helpful. He made the stay quite a delight. Was always available on phone for any information required. On the checkout day, I was unable to get a cab and he organised transport to my destination, which was very kind of him. The WiFi works very welk too. I would definitely choose this BnB again. Loved it.

Very nice apartment well kept and extremely clean. The arrival was very easy with the instructions and the host was fantastic. Breakfast was amazing!! The bed is comfortable and shower works well (sounds like a stupid thing to mention but in Italy it’s not often like this!!)

For me the location was perfect as I drove to Bari and needed to be outside the center. Although it is close to old town (20mn walk) maybe for some people who like to be at the center it might feel far. Make sure you check the map, for me it was perfect!

Our stay in Bari was absolutely wonderful! Every morning the host prepared a delicious Italian breakfast, which made each day start in such a special way. The place was very clean and comfortable, and the host was extremely kind and helpful. We truly felt welcome and would happily come back!

Ideal location. Very cosy, clean flat, yet large room, bathroom with all amenities. There is a shared kitchen. Very nice house and everything in it seems to be made with love: Elfio is a very nice host, you can feel that he cares about his guests. Would love to stay again and highly recommend this place. It is walking distance to the station and the old city, the area is quiet, nice, safe. Bari is already a marvellous experience, but after this accommodation it is even better. Thank you!

Everything is perfect... Really

The place is fully equipped with all you may need - toiletries, dishes, spacious common area for preparing meals and cooking by yourself (if needed). The room has a small fridge and is extremely clean. WIFI is also at a very good speed. The bathroom is clean and with normal size. The owner is very kind and helpful. He responds very quickly and provides information about Bari and the area. The property is at 30 min walking distance from the old city - however for people who like to walk.

The only bemol are some people that stay exactly in front of the building's door in the street and shout at different hours of the day. Some group of 5 men. These loud conversations continue late in the evening, too. So, earplugs are mandatory. P.S. It could be a temporary situation,
