The location is ideal for anyone interested in the treasures of the old city. Our room was spacious and the bathroom was well equipped. The people at the desk were very pleasant and helpful. It seems clear that it is the best hotel in that part of Brindisi.

It is a grand hotel by design and history. For whatever reason, the owners seem content for it to slide below that level. Just a few examples here: only plastic cups in the room, out of date coffee facility in the room, only one movable chair + the settee, blow dryer would only work for a couple of minutes and then need to cool off to stsrt again, pretty disappointing breakfast, pretty random looking lobby area. I hope the owners will find a way to come closer to the original idea. It has a lot of potential. I should emphasize that it was not terrible, just not what it could be.

Beautiful hotel right on the seafront, We stayed just 2 nights b/b. The roomwas very comfortable and clean ,overlooking the sea, slightly dated but ,in a good way !! Breakfast was very good, lots of choices,,,we found the staff at the Grande Albergo really helpful ,polite and very friendly. We would definitely recommend staying here ,very central to all the sights ,city,restaurants all along the seafront, and an added bonus ,it has parking! Many thanks for making our stay enjoyable!!

Beautifully decorated and spacious room. Very good breakfast although it is self service and lacks choice eg only scrambled eggs ...staff very helpful and friendly .

It was quite noisy up to midnight in the cafes outside the front of the hotel. So although the view of the bay was lovely from the room a room at the back would have been quieter. The hotel only offered b & b, but not an evening meal.

The location was perfect and had a great view of the lovely harbor and across to the war museum, also a delicious breakfast with good quality product on offer.

The only thing I can fault are the beds - very very hard, old and worn out which is a pity for such a wonderful grand hotel from a bygone eara which is superbly presented otherwise. I think they should make the effort to put in comfortable beds and good bed linen which was also tired and overused

Albergo is perfectly situated for a relaxing city break in Brindisi with loads of great restaurants and places of interest dotted along the Port and the old city a minute's walk away. The hotel is grand in every aspect with beautifully appointed suites and incredible views of the Port with Argonnes Castle guarding the entrance. Also, watch out for the super yachts, which come and go most days!

A slight misunderstanding with the receptionist on duty (male) but nothing that couldn't be rectified with a smile and a nod! The hotel staff were incredibly patient and kind with most requests but definitely bring a travel iron as there are none in the room.

The location is excellent. Right on the waterfront surrounded by restaurants and bars. Our room was very large with a comfy bed and fantastic bathroom. The breakfast selection was very good.

Some of the furniture is a bit tired and the carpet in the public areas could do with being replaced.

Room is big, bathroom is big and breakfast is good. Building in center of marina in Brindisi is very nice and there are rooms with sea view.

Some small details like missing coffee in the room and missing toilette paper. No staff to help because in the afternoon there was only one person in reception, which would be a little disappointing for this kind of hotel.

The room we were showed was not suitable for us so the hotel gave us another which was beautiful. Thanks to Marco ! The hotel is an aged old dame which I suspect was a magnificent private house. Now a little tired but still retains fabulous furniture from times gone by, impressive staircase, marbled floors and high vaulted ceilings. The hotel is on the quiet port (with beautiful sailing boats, in a piazza with no through traffic (except hotel guest cars). The breakfast included in the price was amazing with a massive buffet of cakes, cereals, breads, pastries, hot food and even home made pizza ! Very efficient and kindly staff.

The receptionist was so helpful nothing was a problem..we causally asked about coffee it was brought out immediately. Needed a charger for my phone was able to borrow one.

Pillows uncomfortable , fridge could be updated ,and tea coffee updated. Otherwise rooms were fine
