Swimming pool, kids playground, very nice outside areas. You get an entry to Lido Arcobaleno, which is something relevant as the access to the "free beaches" is not the easiest / nicest. Location is good, as long as you´re happy to be a bit isolated and far from Catania´s city centre.

Cleaning services forgot to take the previous occupants garbage and food from the fridge... It happens. Not a serious thing.

excellent location (across the road from the beach) even though the beach is not exceptional. 10 min from the airport so excellent in/out destination. rooms are clean, staff friendly, breakfast abundant. good value of the money.

It had a bit of "past glory" feel to it. smoking in the hallway / balcony is allowed.

I loved the individuality of the hotel. Initially i thought oh no, what have i booked into? But i was pleasantly surprised, the staff were very pleasent and helpful all the time. I liked the overall look.

I didnt like the area the hotel was located in, the ymca was smelly and dirty, i had to walk past it every day and it smelt like something had died there or it was used as a public toilet and the driveway to it is filthy. I think the hotel could do with some upgrading and maintenance, painting for certain. I didnt like the way the rooms with joining doors, you could here people next door, the doors neef some sound proofing. I wish the swimming pool opened earlier 7am instead of 9am and closed later 10.30pm instead of 7pm.

Close to the airport (8 min drive, but starting/landing planes not overly audible) and right across the street from the beach. Very nice staff. Definitely better than some of the previous recommendations here made it look. Breakfast was good, Italian style w/ additional choices of toast, cheese, bacon and eggs.

It was noisy, but this is completely on the other guests. Normal indoor voices would not have been heard in the next room. Bathroom could have been cleaner (a little mold only) and there was a musty smell in the main building, but nothing too bad or uncommon (given the climate and age of the building).

The central location with a bus stop 1 minute away. The Lido was very convenient and cheap delicious food. The pool spacious (maybe add more sunbeds) but the pool bar and staff always with a smile with great food and fruit and changing the pool towels as necessary. The barbecue night was perfect. Breakfast very good. Staff very nice and friendly. The setup of hotel very nice. Balcony with room, table and chairs perfect to talk with neighbours. They extended check out time without extra payment. This was much appreciated. Receptionists very helpful and nice.

The shower cubicle too small. The mattress very uncomfortable. It needs to be changed for sure. No plug for the TV, we had to choose between TV or fridge and when we forgot to plug the fridge again we had water in the room. Towels are changed every 3 days. We're not used to this custom!

I love staying at dune. We were given one of the refurbished rooms this time even though I booked a room in the adjacent building. It was clean and more convenient for facilities. The staff is helpful and friendly. I love the location and the parking facilities

There is no lift in the area we were staying. The outside corridor is a smoking area and we had to pass by smokers every time we got out of the room.. this time we didn't have a window overlooking this smoking corridor. The mattresses are old. I wasn't expecting a bad lumpy mattress in a new refurbished room, unfortunately not great for back pain.

This is my second stay in this hotel and its just what we needed for our last day/night in Sicily. Crazy good value for money, we paid £210 for two double rooms for 4 of us! this included, some free drinks, access to the beach club with umbrellas and sunbeds and a buffet breakfast. I honestly wish we'd stayed another couple of nights. The staff were really lovely, they let us drop our bags at reception early in the morning so we could make use of the pool and beach. The rooms are large with a great wet room type shower and fridge. The hotel is in a bit of a weird location, close to a few derelict buildings, but the beach is just across the road, and the hotel complex is very pretty and interesting. Dont go if you want to be close to Catania city centre its a 20 euro cab ride into town. There may be buses so you could look at that. It is however close to the airport, and it cost us 15 euros to get to departures in 15 minutes. We'll definitely stay here again for a few days next time we're in Catania.

The music at the pool was loud and awful, think 'Pump Up the Jam and YMCA ...80s music on very high volume. It seemed so out of place next to such a beautiful pool, manicured tropical garden and plantation style hotel. They should either play something modern, or something classic and relaxing, and turn the volume down massively. It was the same in the breakfast restaurant too 'Awful 80s FM' on full blast. Also one of our rooms (on tge ground floor) smelled quite strongly of damp. This didn't spoil a pretty good stay though.

The rooms were a decent size. It’s not a very large hotel. Quite warm atmosphere. Near to the beach. Literally across the road. You can see the sea if you get the right room. The grounds have little gardens and there are plants around. Staff were pleasant.

The area is a little run down. But the inside of the hotel is nice. The outside could do with being repainted. When we first arrived we thought we’d made a big mistake because of how the hotel looks from the outside. But when you go inside it’s very homely. The beds are fairly firm. But not unbearable.

Top marks to the staff, they were so lovely and helpful. The breakfasts were amazing, always fresh and loads to choose from. It was very clean and it was well located across from the beech, which you got free passes to from the hotel. It had a lovely pool with a pool bar. The air conditioning worked well.

The bed was not very comfortable and they had some dodgy pillows but they got us new ones as soon as we asked. It’s not very well serviced by public transport but that is the public transports fault, it was very poor in that town.

Very clean! Nice area, beach with umbrellas, and everything that is needed. Comfortable room; very nice swimming pool. Polite staff, that is ready to help.

1. Breakfast is the same all the time. It is not bad, but it would be nice to have a better variety. 2. The sea in this area is not deep enough for a nice swimming, but the water is clean and sand is okay.
