This place is such a typical Italian feature that, seen from the surroundings, you'll probably never want to set your feet inside. Inside is a complete different world, functional clean and you feel protected and secure. Trusting Booking.com we decided to give it a try and were rewarded by a convenient accommodation at a very fair price. Our two rooms were recently renovated, very clean and functional with kitchenette, AC and a good bed. Secure parking inside. Good location also, easily reached from autostrada, a 6 minute drive to the airport and close to city center ( 20€ with Uber). Lidl market, a takeaway shop and a remarkable place to eat ( Hostaria del Faro, recommended by owner) around the corner. Hostaria is another of those places, as seen from the street you'll probably never want to eat there. But we had one of our best meals of three weeks around Sicily ( and we had had quite a few remarkable ones throughout) pescato del giorno all'acqua pazza with abundant vino bianco della casa.

Of course, one has to adjust expectations, this place is not a luxury resort, but good value for money nevertheless.

This place offers free parking, comfortable beds, a jacuzzi (for a fee of 25 euro/day), coffee, and cookies for breakfast in the room. It is best for an overnight stay near the airport if you drive by car. It is in an industrial area - no other amenities. Therefore, is your aim is to be close to the airport and not expect to walk around it is fine for that purpose. Nice and helpful host.

We had been touring around Sicily and needed somewhere close to the airport for an early flight - The location at Royal Playa Suites was excellent. The Accommodation was well presented and comfortable - the staff were very efficient and helpful. For travellers with luggage in their car, the parking facilities were very secure behind large slide gates and there was plenty of space to park.

An electric kettle would have been nice but this was a minor detail - The kitchen had all the amenities you might require and we had no issues.

Great place if you want stress free parking just outside the old town. The room is large, easy to get in and out of the unit and area, comfortable bed, good coffee, adequate kitchen, helpful staff etc.

We only needed one night before heading to the airport and we wanted a safe and easy place to park so it suited us great. However, if you don't care about secure private parking, it's not the best location for walking around--we walked into town which is about 20 minutes but parts of the walk had no sidewalks and it was a little scary dodging the cars on the way there and back.

The room was lovely, spacious, clean and with everything we needed. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly manager who was very helpful and accommodated our earlier than planned arrival time. The apartment is very close to the beach and a 15-20 minute walk away from the town centre. There are security gates and once inside the grounds, the apartments are very safe and secure with good space for parking.

The apartments could benefit from a sign at the entrance to indicate you have arrived. The area around the apartment was very rundown and the short walk to town passes through a very deprived area. We didn't feel safe to walk back from town at night and so took a taxi to the apartment.

No disappointments ..we came to sleep and knew it from the reviews, neighborhood is not the most inviting .

Such a great studio it was perfect: close to the airport, to the beach, private closed parking, safe, clean, beautiful, spacious bathroom, a small fridge, very nice and attentive service, all this for a very affordable price, what more to ask? Why not a private bath tub on top of this? Oh but there even is!

Everything was great. I like the full communication with the owner of the apartment he called me and even whatsapp me to explain all details of how to check in. Everything was clean. We had no noises around We had a hot bath tub in our room and was explained about use and extra charges which is very understandable considering how much water need to be filled in

Carmelo our host was a lovely person to meet , he met us at the secure gates and showed us where to park. PS don't expect this every time we were his first guests!! The apartment was absolutely every thing we wanted , it was relaxing , quiet had secure parking and close to the airport and town. We are both in our 60's and walked back from town within 15 minutes , so anyone that says its miles away are being anything but truthful. you are in sicily were there at times no pavements.... if you want ,about 200 m in an evening up the road there is an amazing BBQ...

We chose this property because it was close to the airport for an early morning flight and offered secure parking which suited us. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable and it had a large new bathroom. There is a large supermarket next door. We had some of our own drinks in the outside courtyard then walked in to the amazing centre squares of Catania for a meal which took us 25 mins. It is through some partial industrial area to start with, then, some colourful local areas and restaurants then city central. We found that quite interesting and did not feel insecure at all. There is a seafood restaurant near by as well.
